Great place to get tubing and misc steel for metal working projects or machinery repairs. You can pick your own, pay by the pound on the small scale, then pay cash in office. Easy to find scrap metal, ie tin..steel plate..bar stock..I beams..aluminum diamond plate.. Etc. Off the racks. One of the safest and cleanest scrapyards around in my opinion.

Our scales were just calibrated a month ago, so they are accurate. Some info for you at just over 40. :) The scale you weighed at was a grain elevator scale. Which weighs in 20 pound increments. Where our can scale weighs by the pound so that is the difference between our 195 and your over 210+ pounds!!

The only scrap yard that is completely scams people out of their money they set there scale to read lower weigh so they don't have to pay you the right amount. I have been scraping for 44 years and this place is the worst I've been to
The service I received was extremely poor, ranging from rude to very rude, not for the first time either. One of the guys actually became irate with me when I brought in a bucket of copper/ brass plumbing because he had already rang up the romex I'd brought in even tho I told him I had more. He actually threw his head back and scolded me for not telling him I had that. Then complained he still needed to empty the till, do this do that and so on and that he was closed in 3 minutes. He repeatedly told me to just come back tomorrow. (Fat chance of that) Got nothing for the scrap iron, (rotors and other heavy items) was just told its not worth anything but they'd take it.
I would rather drive my scrap to Mankato and get less than ever take a single bolt to Pooley's, and I will never do business with them again.
