I have a lot of anxiety about car maintenance, everyone here is super friendly and professional going here is a delight. No one ever tries to upsell me and you can even make an appointment from their website !
Needed a muffler replaced, got a few quotes and they were the least expensive. Aaron was friendly and professional, facility was clean, and they got me in within 2 days. Can see why they’ve been around for 20+ (maybe 30+) years. Highly recommend
So happy to have been recommend Steves! Once they were able to get to my vehicle the repairs were quick! They explained things in a way I could understand and even showed me the faulty part and explained why it wasn't working upon pickup. Staff was very pleasant both on the phone and in the shop. The price they gave me for the repairs was super reasonable, compared to the extra $700 I was charged at a different shop for the same fix (come to find out that other shop didn't even fix what they said they did)
Steves even helped fix my key when it fell apart walking to my car to take it home

One of my tires was leaking air for a few days. I decided to give Steve's a call to see if they had any availability. During the phone call, I let the man on the phone know that I was headed to St. Cloud to visit my sister and my brother in law that same day. The man on the phone was very kind, listened and acknowledged my urgency. He let me know that I could stop by and that he would try his best to squeeze me in, if someone missed their appointment that day. I arrived To the shop about 10 minutes after the phone call and was greeted by him as I walked into the lobby. He let me know that it would be an hour wait. I sat down and to my surprise, 45 minutes later my tire was fixed and i was on the road to my sisters place.

I rolled into this car shop shaking because I thought my tire was going to fall off. I just had a new tire put on the day prior from a different place and my car was shaking bad. They looked busy but it was the first place I saw. Immediately they checked out my car, made sure all tires were tight, and drove around the block to make sure. Even though they were clearly busy, they took the time to make sure my car was safe for me. They were all so friendly, I didn’t feel like an inconvenience, they were honest, and despite all they did and the time, they refused my offer to pay them for their time. Turns out there WAS something wrong with my car and I called them to see when they could get me in (check engine light on). There’s SO MANY things Jeff and the others did that it’s too long to list. I would 100% give them my business all the time and would recommend them to everyone. They’re the best!!
Quick, courteous, accommodating, and honest. Our go to for oil changes, we've been going to them for several years now and have always had a good experience. I always feel like I'm being treated fairly and not taken advantage of, which is not the case with a lot of auto shops.
I've been going here for quite a while and they are always courteous and are upfront on pricing. I recently brought a used car in and they tried a few different parts and the problem ended up being a specialized one for a dealership so they didn't charge me anything for the work they did to date which I thought was fair and really appreciated.
I had a blinker bulb replaced, and I never had such good, quick service. Jeff was friendly and professional, and my whole bill was only $10.79. This is why I've been a loyal customer for over 20 years. I won't go anywhere else!
I am a fan of this shop and typically get reasonable quotes from them. I took my truck in to be inspected, oil change, tire rotation. They determined it was time for brakes and battery.
The quote for battery I received was reasonable, but the quotes for brake rotors and pads on front and rear was astronomical. When questioned, their direct quote was, "since it is a ford it was very difficult to find the right parts and I had to go through different avenues for sourcing". Excuse me? Pretty sure it's the most common truck built in America.
Quote for parts on brake pads and rotors for front and rear on a F-150 was close to 1200 bucks. Was able to source the parts online (which existed in abundance) for 300.

I have an old car, so it’s easy to just pile on what is *wrong* with my car. They did a really good job at making me feel like my car was in good hands. I have one thing to keep tabs on, but they’ll check on it next time I stop by. I appreciated that.

This place came highly recommended by a close friend. They somehow squeezed my car in same day between appointments, even though they seemed extremely busy. I thought understandably there's no way they'll be able to get my car done in the same day, but they did! I felt like they were completely up front & honest with me in telling me what needed to be repaired & what could wait. They didn't shame me for being VERY overdue for an oil change, or try to upsell me (which is always the worry for me as I don't know anything about cars). When I picked up my vehicle, I had some questions & I appreciate the time & thoroughness in their explanations! Fair prices, great service, I'll definitely be going out of the way to bring my car here in the future.
The catalytic converter was cut out of my car on a Tuesday morning. By Wednesday, Steve's had coordinated with my insurance company (after working with Triple A on my tow) to document repairs needed and get the claim process in motion. They had great communication, answered all of my questions, and finished my repairs two days ahead of their expected schedule. They were so helpful during what was an incredibly frustrating experience and I really appreciate their work.
Steve's auto saved me this week! My clutch stopped working at night and I had my car towed here, mainly because it was a AAA approved service location and I didn't know what else to do. When I called in the morning, they quickly let me know what was wrong with the car and got me a quote. Getting a clutch replaced is no cheap thing - so while it was not a price I was excited about, I called around a few other places and realized it was a full $1000 less than I was going to get anywhere else I could find. They fixed my car knowing I was leaving town in the next few days, and the technician even came in on a Saturday to finish the job. I really appreciated how quick and attentive they were. Cannot thank you guys enough! I legit did not know my clutch could feel so easy to use, it's actually better than I ever remember.
Don was so helpful to me! I'm new to the area and needed help with small things. There is a concern for women who don't know much about cars about being taken advantage of. Don does not! He took the time to explain what I needed and where to get it. He didn't try to sell me on new tires, he said mine are fine for winter here. I trust him and will be back for all of my car needs. Called and booked an appointment in under a minute. I needed an oil change and I had an odd noise the my car was making. They completed all within a few hours as I needed the car that evening. Very professional and communicative throughout. Highly recommend!
Me and my family use and recommend this place all the time. These guys a super honest and very respectful. Went in to get my brakes checked because they were squeaking. They told me I had a glaze on one of the pads from heat but that my breaks are in good condition. Very please with the honesty and degree of communication. I will always go here and recommend it.
I was really pleased with the service at Steve's Tire and Auto. They were pleasant and efficient and reasonably priced. The best part of my experience was that they did exactly what I asked for and did not try to sell me in something I didn't need. This was a second opinion and told me I needed less than the first confirming what I thought and at a better price. I would like to give these guy a 5 star. They have great customer service average pricing and from what I can tell reliable services. With that being said however my 1st experience with them was an excellent one they fix the struts on my Mazda 5 and my car has been running great ever since. However the last time I went in for a check engine light they wanted to charge me a $100 for something that Auto Zone does for free. I desperately wanted these guys to be my new mechanic but now I am having 2nd thoughts. I have no doubt that these guys do great work however honest is big issue when it comes to the maintenance of my car.
I can't say enough positives about Steve's Tire and Auto. Honest mechanic is an oxymoron in most every case but not here!
These guys are SO helpful and down to earth. Their service is excellent from the time you come in the door to when you walk out with your fixed car. They don't make you feel like you are just an invoice? They explain what they are doing and why.
I've had plenty of experience as a woman walking into the auto repair shop and knowing immediately they are gonna try to take me to the cleaners. I've never had this experience with Steve's Auto and Tires? Before, I was a loyal customer I called them on more than one occasion asking for advice or for a comparison on what they would charge. They always were straight forward and happy to help. It kind of felt like I was talking to my older brothers.
I have had oil changes and repairs on my car. The process runs like an oiled machine. The check in is efficient and friendly. They will drop you back off at work and pick you up when you car is ready. Prices are very reasonable. I feel very lucky to have found an honest mechanic. ;-)
I had a flat tire and I pulled in without an appointment. I noticed their lot was full and they were clearly busy which I feel is a good sign for auto repair shops. They replaced an odd sized tire while I waited. It was done in an hour and cheaper than what I was initially quoted. Friendly and fast. Highly recommended. Will be back.
I came in with a blown tire and was in a huge hurry! The team at Steve’s we’re incredibly fast and friendly! Helped me pick out the best tire for the best price and made me aware of how long it would take! The key there was that they were accurate with the time frame as I needed my appointment to know when I would get there since I had a delay! They went as fast as they could and got me back out on the road quicker than I expected. Even though I live in the burbs, I will be coming back to have my car serviced here! After years of using dealership services and trying out Firestone, I decided to try Steve's Tire & Auto, and I'm so pleased that I did. Their staff were professional, honest, and efficient. In fact, I was able to get all new tires, new brakes, an oil change, and a high beam replaced in under 2 hours! I never have had such friendly and efficient service for maintenance or repair of a vehicle. Their fees are fair and I never felt like someone was trying to pressure me into a service that was unnecessary or more expensive than the going market rate. Needless to say, I've found a new mechanic and am quite satisfied with the switch.

The team called to approve and confirm pricing on the service required to resolve the light and were very friendly. The cost for parts and service were within the average range when I googled it.
It is great to have a neighborhood auto shop that you can trust in the neighborhood. Staff was great, service was quick and done well.
I used this place once and was happy with them. Today I called to schedule some routine stuff and use one of their online coupon. I asked about dropping my car off and getting a ride to work, as I did the other time. He asked what time. When I told him I start at 7:30 a.m. I was told, "Not an option unless I want to go into work late. We can get you there by 8:00." So...I asked for an evening appointment (they list their hours and 7-7) and was told that 3:30 was the latest appointment if I wanted to have the service done the coupon was for. "We have no technicians available in the evening. We only do things like tire changes and oil changes no real work you need a technician for." I have only lived in the area a short time and go past their shop to and from work. After telling my coworkers about being happy with them. I was cautioned about their lack of customer service by coworkers who said it all depends on who you talk to. I was told they used to be great to work with but the past 6 months not so much. My coworkers all go elsewhere because of the poor customer service. So very disappointed! I too will now be going elsewhere.
