Not as advertised Mark canceled my check after his employees off loaded and paid me 100% do not recommend. Definitely go elsewhere. He will probably cancel your check as well. Also would like to add that his employees confirmed with us before delivery and inspected our materials before accepting them upon arrival. definitely should have checked the other reviews first.
Isaac seems like a nice old man but he's going to rip you off. He's a shady liar. There's no other scrap yard around that doesnt let you see the weights on the scale. Go to JRs, better prices. Or alter in Anoka.
The guy who worked with me, Ronnie, is a champ. I had to take something off my canoe and he loaned me the tools to do so.
Then, not only did some big shot, Mark, tells me to do it outside, I get it, insurance and stuff. But, when I finished the job, and returned the tools, I got another lecture from Mark about not loaning out tools or doing the work in the shop. And he said Ronnie was in trouble.
Little guy from the office is a jerk ,and a crook ! was told a bunch of different prices on a phone call the day previous then was told that he takes all the phone calls that he didn't talk to me and he didn't give me those prices ! refused to honor any of them. I wouldn't recommend selling your scrap to these people. although the workers are nice, the guy who runs the joint is a complete jerk, your business would be more appreciated elsewhere. Oh and I had a bunch of metal in the back of my pickup but it wasn't 500 lb and then he tried to charge me $5 for weighing it to see if it was 500 lb cuz they won't even pay you if you have less than that. Garbage place go elsewhere
I like this place because they have fair prices for brass and copper scrap. The workers have always been quick and professional, which is all you need out of scrap recycling.
It's almost a blessing to the potential customers of leder Bro's. that the posted hours are inaccurate so you don't have to deal with the incredibly rude employees or get shafted out of $ when they put your scrap into a lower category.
Very competitive pricing. If not, he'll often match the competition. Fair, honest, & clean. FYI tho despite the google info they are NOT open on Saturday.
Over the last 20 years, I have been gathering negative experiences at this place. I once brought a trailer full of engine blocks with an old dryer stacked on top… they didn’t even look at what I had, just said “we don’t want that shit”. That was 2003. Came back 18 years later, still rude. The hours posted here says they are open Saturday, they’re not. I wasted another hour and fuel driving here. They’re closed, it’s 8:42 am Saturday
Don't believe they're hours they're not opened up Saturdays and they close at 4 o'clock not 4:15. And when you call and talk to somebody they don't give you any answers I'm not impressed don't waste your time go anywhere else
Great folks and fairest deals in town. Most honest people to work with in the scrap business. Over 45 years of doing business with them. They truly care about their customers.
Hello everyone.
All customers who sell scrap as a requirement of the laws of the State of Minnesota have an official I.D. card scanned and retained by a licensed scrap recycling operation.
That being said... the people who are making the claims of mistreatment (Ron Hiller and others) have no such record of scrap transactions with Leder Brothers. These are people trying to negatively impact our business.

I drove 2 and a half hours and called 1st to get current scrap prices and when I arrived they unloaded over 550 pounds of copper. I weighed it before I left home, so I had no reason to pay attention to the scale as they unloaded and weighed it in. Afterwards they gave me a total low-ball price different from the so called set price they told me on the phone. To top it off they shorted me 175 lbs. Which I weighed it 3 times myself. They ripped me off around 800.00 They were also very rude. These guys are a bunch of crooks. I'll never go back .
Very crappy customer service not only to me but to others I saw bringing in scrap. They like to short change people as well giving the lowest price possible if they assume you are bringing in something they don't like.
I was bringing a load from a couple hours away because of the hours of operation. I called a few minutes before 11:00 on a Saturday to let them know I was coming and would be there in 10 mins. The sign says they are open until 11:15. They refused to help me and we're very rude. They locked the door as I was approaching the building and refused to dicuss this matter. I called to speak with the manager and he said they close at 11:00. This would not be an issue normally,but after some unfortunate events and needed some quick cash for my family (not there fault, i know). I decided to turn in some of my scrap metal and nothing in my area was open, so drove from a few hours away just to be treated poorly and disrespected. I have never had people in customer service act like that to me. I would never recommend this company to anyone.
