My car was towed illegally by Chiefs. I was parked in a no park zone for a little bit, was issued parking warnings, I moved my car to an authorized parking spot, and my car was still towed even though my car had been moved.
I was stuck on Crosstown during morning rush hour and it was raining heavily. My insurance company sent a truck and a wait time of ninety minutes and started calling looking for a quicker option and called eight companies most of them wanting about $300.
I called Chief and quoted me a much lower price and were like Dominoes , there in thirty minutes with a nice friendly and most importantly very knowledgeable. We got the SUV to the repair shop unloaded and my bill was less than quoted . When does that happen?
In short I can't imagine a better company. The kicker was they are one of a couple locally owned towing companies.

Chief's towing has been a very important partner with the jobs I have worked throughout my career. I have never had a bad interaction with any of the employees at chief's , always professional and polite. I have never had anything damaged , everything has always been well taken care of! Alex was amazing, I couldn’t have asked for a better driver. Gave a lot of tips on what to do for my car after tow so that I wouldn’t be taken advantage of.
The most scandalous tow yard around charge 2 times as much as anyone else dropped my car off the back with no compensation once vehicles in the yard they turn your lights on and then charge you to get jump started 75 dollars good thing the Bloomington police use them or they would be out on the street call another tow company you will get treated with respect call Dicks or reliable towing.
Damaged my vehicle when it was towed off. Got an estimate was told that the damage was caused by the tow truck not the road. Went to make a dispute was told that they didn't do it, and they are not gonna pay for the damage. Due to the fact that I said it looked fine after paid cash to get the car out. The next day I was able to take a good look at the car and found that they damaged the front lip of the car. Fine I'll let you have that one. As far as picking up the vehicle. I had to make a payment amount in cash. They don't take debit or credit cards. That seems shady. You know very well you guys damaged my car don't give me the bs
Got a flat tire while I was out driving, so I called up Chief's and the dispatch coordinator had a driver out right away. Driver and dispatch were both quick, friendly, and professional. Thanks Chief's Towing!
The worst, i don’t recommend. like to take only cash, by overcharging 100% extra. They charge me 430$ for 1.5 miles. I hope city of Bloomington look at this. Almost 80$ per night.
Initially called for a jump start so I could head back home to Milw., WI. The driver that came to provide jump start was professional, friendly, and extremely helpful! He was there within 35 mins. Jump start did not solve my issue, the driver recommended Hake's auto where those guys were also helpful and professional. Chief's also towed me to the shop. All around, great service. Thank you guys for assisting in my return trip home!
I'm wheelchair bound and my wife just had surgery. My vans ramp opens up at my side walk in front of my house. The plows came out and plowed around my van without towing me. A whole day went by and I had left to town and a Dr's vist,came home. Mind you the street "HAS" been plowed curb to curb and my neighbors were all parking in the street. I went to walgreens 8:00pm same night. Parked my the "ONLY' place i can to get in and out of my house. Richfield community service knows my position as does the P.D. after all this CHIEFS towing came in the middle of the night. (After plowing curb to curb %100) and towed my van. I had to be at North memorial at 8:00am for surgery, is am partially paralysis. And need my power Wheelchair. TRE ROADS WERE CLEARED! CHIEFS TOWING ARE AMBULANCE CHASERS! PLEASE DON'T USE A COMPANY LIKE THIS! THEY OWNERS DON'T CARE AND DO NOT HAVE A HEART. (this is not about the drivers)

I had an attitude when I walked in, because of the situation that actually brought me to Chief's. I was not being respectful and the gentleman behind the counter remained professional. I want to apologize to him again and appreciate his patience with me and my juvenile actions.
I was having a hard time with triple a road side assistance. I was stranded on the side of the road for 4 hours. Eventually my step dad called chiefs towing, who showed up in 35 minutes. I didn’t mind waiting. As i was already sitting there for 3.5 hours. The man was super apologetic about having me wait, asked what happened and was empathic about my car. Overall just really nice about the situation. It made me felt comfortable giving him my car, and had no worries after what happened to me.
After waiting an hour and a half for tow service from my insurance company, I googled and found chiefs towing. I called their 24 hour number and he showed up within 20 minutes. He dropped me off at home a few miles away where I grabbed a different car and I follow him to the garage where he dropped my car. And he left. 10 minutes later after opening time I realized after calling the number that the local Garage was on vacation that week. I called chiefs back again and they came and picked up my car and I followed them to the dealership. Despite All the screwing around they only charged me one hook up, and the added mileage. Instead of the last call, they will always be my first call.
Freezing Cold, windy, I had places to be and my truck said nope not going to start . They showed up, jumped me and got me on my way. Answered the phone immediately when I called, showed up within 20 minutes of getting off the phone with them. Basic service they provided for me in a professional and very timely fashion. Great service and hassle free to work with.
After the police were unable to get my rental car unlocked with my toddler inside...at night....in December...they called Chief's for assistance. The man who came was extremely polite, personable, and best of all, great at his job as he was able to try a different door and get the car opened. He didn't shame us for having our toddler hold onto the car keys or make us feel worse in any way. His calming presence and expertise were beyond appreciated. I was more than happy to pay the $75 lock out fee because it meant not breaking the window of our rental and, most importantly, our child was able to get out safely. THANK YOU!!
Yogi and the rest of the staff were very very helpful. They were knowledgeable and they assisted me. They could have made a few more dollars but they instead wanted to make a good customer happy well a customer.
Had a great experience! Was able to drive us closer to home! We were 2 hours away! Had our truck dropped only being 1 hour away from home! We were worried on how we were going to get home! But they were able to help!
Nearly 900 for 8 days of having my vehicle. Should of been about half of that. Charged me for extra towing fee because they had to move it to their other yard down the street. Obviously they just want to do all in their power to keep your car and what ever is in it to resell it. Minneapolis impound is around 500 a MONTH
My teen daughter broke down 30 miles from home on the freeway. I called Chief's towing and they were there in no time. Kind and pleasant on the phone and Bobby was also very pleasant to my daughter when he arrived. Excellent service! Keep up the great work! Thank you so very much!
My car abruptly died while I was driving 65mph on 494. What would have been an awful situation was saved by this towing company. I was referred to them by my mechanic. When I first called, they said someone would be with me in 35 minutes. It took less than 5. As a lone woman stranded on the side of a busy highway, I felt extremely vulnerable, anxious, and stressed. Jim was AMAZING!! Dude made me feel so safe. Super professional, friendly, funny, and managed to turn my worst driving nightmare into a positive experience. So grateful to this company and Jim for saving my day!
I don't know the drivers name but he was polite and respectful, honestly far more than he should've been for a college students stupidity when being called about it at 2 am.
Would definitely recommend being used and I know a job like this definitely sucks sometimes and glad it was quick and easy. Good/clear communication, nice driver who helped me out in a rough spot.

They have towed my car 3 times in the past yr, due to break downs. Wes, the tow truck driver, is always professional and makes it a smooth process. Totally trust the company and it's employees. There was one other employee that helped Wes. Don't remember his name but he was awesome, as well.
Staff was absolutely incredible! The guy who towed my car was super sweet, and I’m not sure if it was intentional, but it seemed that every time I started to cry again he would talk and it seemed like he was trying to help keep me distracted and calm. I had just totaled my car and was a total mess and everyone was super sweet, and caring, and in the end they gave us a great deal for the tow and scrapping the car.
Edit: after looking at other reviews I just want to say that just because you got your car towed and had to pay for it doesn’t make them a bad company. I’ve had my car towed before and so have other family members and this company did not charge any more than any other company. If you don’t want to pay for a tow don’t get your car towed. Simple as that. This company is wonderful, the prices are fair, and the staff is wonderful. Period.
Worked with my insurance company very quickly to move the vehicle to a collision center. The driver who picked me and my car up, Tyler, was very nice and patient. I wasn't worried about my car being in their possession. I would not like to work with them again obviously, but overall handled my needs and questions very well.
