Disappointing experience. I specifically took it here because they are a “small, family owned business” and the reviews were looking good. I had 2 problems that I had to get diagnosed for my car. There was a clunking noise in the front drivers side and the back passenger side. The back passenger side clunking noise was super prominent and you could hear it over every little bump and pot hole. They diagnosed the front saying I needed new shocks/struts- cool, whatever, not a big deal (they showed me pics) HOWEVER- they quoted me at $2100 just for the front!?! Literally insane. I called around to other places and got quoted $1300-1600 lmao. So that leaves the back clunking diagnoses- they said it was something hanging in the middle back and they just pinned it up into the car so it would stop flapping. They did fix this for free BUT when I started to drive off I could hear the metal thumps, clunking so they clearly didn’t figure out what was going on in the back. Mind you I had to pay a $100 diagnostic fee and they didn’t even diagnose my original problem- talking about I have to come back in because they missed something? I do not want to pay ANOTHER diagnostic fee. Like come on. Do your job. Taking my car somewhere else so they can figure it out.
My 2015 Tahoe had some pretty significant computer issues that had a snowball affect with other systems. Team was wonderful with communication and made every effort to make it right. Stellar service!
My work van broke down in the morning, Autopia got me in within 10 minutes, then sent me an estimate after diagnosing within only a few hours. They had the van back up and running with a new front wheel hub and 2 serpentine belt replacements on the SAME DAY and also gave me a free shuttle ride to and from my house. Everyone was friendly and helpful, needless to say I am impressed and will plan to use this auto shop from here forward!
I took my 20 year old SUV into the shop and was treated to many friendly faces. They did a great job breaking down what was needed and even took the time to think through a repair plan that worked with my budget. My car is working well better now, and I will go back as I can afford it. They also had a shuttle service that took me back home and picked me up when it was done, really nice addition. thanks team!

This was my first time at Autopia and I had a wonderful experience. They were very kind, professional, and efficient. They gave me a thorough inspection report and were able to pinpoint the issue with my car. I also appreciated their excellent communication. The shuttle service was so helpful and the driver was friendly. Overall, a great experience!
Rachel was very helpful in getting our car in for a wheel alignment. Frank was very polite and personable as he provided transport to and from our home while the care was being worked on. We were pleasantly surprised our car was washed after the alignment which was beyond our expectations. So far the alignment seems to be working great.
Off the bat, the free shuttle service was awesome! And my driver was wonderful, best wishes to you! Autopia gave a great inspection report with pictures of my car parts which also pointed out other issues. Nothing was pushed onto me though! I dealt with everything on mobile, scheduling my appointment, they sent the inspection and quote to my phone and it was very easy to look at, and to accept or decline services.
I needed a splash shield put on. I’ll be honest, I bought the part, a piece of crap replacement from Walmart and brought it in. They got it on but gave a very fair warning that it’s not premium and not made to fit so it might not stay. I appreciate the honesty. It was also a very fair price to me.

I brought my 07 Volvo in for an overdue oil change. They gave me a ride home and then picked me up when my car was completed. They cleaned my car. Also gave me a itemized list of future work needed.
Had a Tesla that needed suspension work, and its difficult to get anyone that works on these vehicles other than the dealer. Gave a shout to Autopia, talked to Rachel, and she let me know they are Tesla certified. Dropped it off with no appointment and got it back within a day and a half. Rachel was super nice to work with, kept me in the loop, etc. Very satisfiede.
I am a new customer at Autopia Bloomington and had winter tire change last week. I was treated with curtousy and respect. The leady who help me is very professional ,knowledgeable. It is a great relief to know that there are, indeed, honest automotive establishments. I will and do highly recommend this company.
Great service, transparent about what work is urgent and what work can wait. They’re reasonably priced, and do a great job of keeping you updated throughout the process. I can’t recommend them enough!

Had an issue with the backup camera, radio, control center. Replacement of new unit was not worth the price on my 2007 Mercedes ML350. The mechanic and owner went above and beyond and eventually got the unit to work and did not charge more than estimate even though they put in extra time. Communication is excellent and appreciate how they do not pressure the customer to have work done from the list of items that they find when looking over the vehicle. Go to place for my Mercedes.
WARNING!!! A month and a half ago my finance brought vehicle to this shop. Originally brought it in because the battery kept dieing. They replaced the battery charged us 500$ for a battery that costed 150$ that I knew wasn’t the issue and I tried explaining that to them. Brought it back they fixed that issue. Our car was also over heating they fixed that as well. But we got the car back and the AC wasn’t working. We could not afford to get it looked at again we spent $2,000 with them. During all of this we where lied to and I felt like we where getting robbed. Now our serpentine belt is broken and our water pump is damaged. Stranded on the side of the road. We tried reporting them to the BBB a month ago but they are not apart of the BBB. Hoping to get some kind of help or our money back. I’ve heard from other people that they have had the same issues with them. Even people from our church. Only way I will take this post down is if they make it right. This is extremely unacceptable. I just hope posting this will at least stead people away from this shop.
Autopia is awesome. They repair my vehicle that needed a new alternator and a leaky vacuum hose within the same day, I dropped it off at 8am and it was ready by 2:45pm. This place has always been great at what they do.
Very friendly staff, and super helpful. I needed some urgent work done and they got my car back on the road in no time. I will definitely be bringing my other cars here. Highly recommend.
Autopia has always gone above and beyond for me. They offer loaner cars or shuttle services for when your car is in for a longer repair and you still have places to be. I had my heat fixed last winter because the tech was so tenacious about getting the fan to work. It looked like it would be a much bigger job, but they were able to get it done efficiently—leaving me and my wallet very happy.
Worked me in on no notice to address a flat tire. Replaced all four tires by the next day. Free loaner car allowed me to keep my appointments. Friendly and expert service.

Reached out to the shop after my car broke down on the way home from the store, managed to make it all the way home to discover my water pump went out. Had my box towed over and they promptly took a look at her, and confirmed it was the water pump as well as a few other things. Was able to pick my car up a few days later, no issues. Very pleased with the services I received and how kindly they worked with me given I couldnt take off work to come up there. Will absolutely take my car back here again.
I have a 97 Chevy with ignition issues which meant it would not start. After having it towed to a main dealer, who told me they don't work on old vehicles I finally got lucky! An employee recommended me to Autopia and told me he takes an old car there and got great service. He had called Autopia for me and arranged for them to work on my truck. It only to them a short time to figure out the ignition problems and fix them for me. They also checked the entire truck and sent a list of items that may need attention. I had superb service from Autopia, who gave me clear, comprehensive answers,and were friendly throughout. I have now found. the quality repair shop I have been looking for for. many years and will have them take care of all my trucks needs. I can absolutely recommend them with no hesitation!
They were great! I have a used 2019 Mazda CX-+5 that needed The 50,000 scheduled service I couldn't get an appointment at a Mazda dealer before I had to take a 3,000 mile trip. I was worried I was going to get taken advantage of.
Autopia was awesome! No pressure to accept all the services and even went the extra step of working with me on the total cost. I didn't expect that level of respect from a non dealer shop.

They offer loaner cars which is what all repair shops should do. Their portal gave a full breakdown on what they found wrong and the estimate before continuing with the repair. Their service is top notch since they dont just call they also text you and I appreciate that very much. The whole staff is friendly and sincere. I highly recommend them for auto service needs.

My Tesla's controller arm broke last week and I managed to pull the car into a parking lot next door to Autopia in Bloomington. It was one of the hottest days of the summer, and, while I waited for a tow truck and dealt with the day's messy challenges, Will at Autopia was very gracious to let me handle everything from within their air conditioned office. Even though I didn't use Autopia for the repair (it was still under my Tesla warranty - thus, I was obligated to use the dealer), I have to say that once my warranty expires, I will definitely take my car to Autopia for regular maintenance. The example they showed in my hour of need, told me exactly what kind of people they are. I recommend them highly simply based on the way they treated me. I never forget a kindness. Will's friendly and knowledgeable demeanor made the initial contact very smooth, and we appreciated his willingness to chat about our detailing services. Nick's communication was excellent – he promptly followed up after our conversation and scheduled a detailing service for a Volkswagen EOS.
The VW itself was in mildly soiled condition, as expected for a car getting prepped for sale. It was actually exciting to see it on their lot the very next day, listed for sale! We especially enjoyed the challenge of transforming the back seat – a common area that often needs some TLC.
