We recently hired Lumpy’s Bar for our bar service at our wedding. Overall, I would not recommend Lumpy’s for special event services based on my experience. I got a call the day before my wedding stating that a wine I had requested was unavailable and no alternative solutions were given to me. It was left in my hands to fix this issue. To clarify: I was asked by the owner to supply a list of preferred liquor (wine, beer and bar liquor for the event) Communication between me, the owner and the bar manager was very poor. The owner communicated one drink price to me and a cost for any leftover wine and the day of my wedding, the bar service manager told me something completely different. After discussing this with the bar manager at my wedding, she told me drinks would be sold at the price originally discussed with the owner. I found out after my wedding was over that guests were being charged a different amount than what was discussed. There was other feedback from my guests expressing their displeasure with the staff serving for our event, but I have no direct experience with that so I do not want to provide details. Again, this review was made about their special events services and I do not have any experience with visiting their establishment directly.
We had a great time at Lumpy’s tonight. Wonderful friendly waitress. Good drinks and popcorn. We had fun pulling pull tabs and getting in on the meat raffle. Enjoyed delicious perfectly done steaks from Budger’s with their hash browns that are fantastic. Way to work together to deal with the Covid situation. We will be back!
I can't wait to go over and see the new outside patio they built on the west side of their building. I stopped in twice while the build was in progress It is so cool and the builders did an amazing job.
The new patio is five stars in my book.
