I have been coming here for years and it is a very well run place. However, this morning around 12:15 I encountered a grumpy old man working in the back who chastised me for asking where something should be placed. This curmudgeon either needs a vacation or a new job.
I go here a few times throughout the year. Always helpful and friendly staff. They even helped my son source from needed items for a school project. It is nice to see the organics added this past year.
Such a helpful place to have close to home. We have a recycle bin that gets picked up twice a month but this place comes in so handy for disposing of larger cardboard, paint, batteries or just the overfill of the two weeks.
I happened to stop in a few weeks ago to the facility and was met by wonderful staff and with the exception of the staff in the back end of the building. They sat there looking on as residents piled in, both on thier cellphones. I asked a simple question about what they accepted only to be met by an awful attitude as if they were bothered that I asked. The older gentleman a previous time had stopped me from throwing in an un accepted into the recycling compactor. It was my mistake honest mistake but all he kept muttering is “you see the sign?? You see the sign?” In a most belittling manner. I had never been talked at like that have being there previously. The 4.8 rating on Google is very inaccurate. Needless to say the younger gentleman in the front or younger staff I might say are more polite. I’ll be taking myself elsewhere and I will let anyone I know who asks about my experience at this place.
Helpful staff. They recycle metals, organics, cardboard, cans, mattresses , plastics. Prices clearly marked for costs to recycle specific items like refrigerators, monitors, etc. Don't fill our landfills, especially with items which would poison the earth.
I'm grateful for the service. The hours are not sufficient to meet the demand. Staff was clearly frustrated with a long line on Saturday and were commenting on how people wait until the last minute to drop off. Sorry. I have commitments and I work full time. Please don't gripe at me when I drop off during the short window of time I have available during your minimal hours.
I been to the environmental center many times over the past 2 years. I have always had a positive experience. They have always been able to help me with my disposal of items. It is a bit strange driving in and leaving (you drive in on the left side of the road) but it works for them. They have always been professional and courteous to me.
Love this place because of the people who work there are also nice and helpful. Plus the reuse room is fun to find things that I may have bought at HD down the road, especially chemicals and no picky paint.
