Bought a truck here at the end of last year, within the first few months had to spend probably $2,000 - $3,000 in different repairs. Idler pulley, ball joints, control arms, alignment, bed cover stitching was ripped and whole cover broke while driving, taillight bulb was out, odometer light goes from bright to not even being on, front rotors were warped, front brake pads, coil and plug have needed changed twice because of reoccurring water in the well causing cylinder misfires, weather seal in door jam leaks water in, and back windshield has water drip in. Have had the truck for 7 months now and probably half of that it’s been undriveable or in the shop
Was able to bring my car in for a repair, went very well and quick. Didn't have to wait weeks for service. And its local. Would 100% recommend this location to anyone seeking repairs.

Bought a Ford explorer here. Engine was shot. In only a month of use. They’re either incompetent mechanics or just trash. Maybe both. Roll the dice if you’re a gambler and find out yourself. Wouldn’t recommend them.
I purchased a 2014 F150 from Bill at Midstate. The whole transaction was fast, easy, and with absolutely no pressure. What I saw was what I got, and what I got was a truck that needed a few minor cosmetic repairs, but over all is safe and reliable for a great price.
We had a good experience working with Bill on the purchase of our 2013 Ford pickup. He is a "good ole Joe" who is easy to talk and work with. We walked in there telling him which truck we were interested in and showed him what we had for a trade in, gave us a fair price for our "old rusty Ford", helped us with the paper work online, chatted about cars and other stuff just like we knew each other before hand. His prices on the vehicles are descent, they were clean and in great condition. He is a small car dealer in a small town, not a stuffy businessman in a big dealership. He was helpful after the purchase when we had some questions. Thanks Bills for all your help and knowledge.
Last July I bought a 2013 Caprice PPV from Bill. It's a rare find here in Central Minnesota, and I had to have it. After buying it "as is " it started having a wheel bearing issue. I called Bill and he was nice enough to do the work for cost. Have had this car for 9 months and very happy I found it.
Bill had great communication unfortunately ended up selling the item I was interested in; even though we lined up logistics so I could come purchase it. Disappointed that common decency was thrown out the window when the almighty dollar was on the line
This is always my first stop there is know one who has a better more laid back down to earth fair honest guy to buy a car from i love how he will tell all about a car on his lot even if that looses you you can tell you are getting what you need his love for his business and getting people in good cars at fair prices check them first thats ehat i do
They are so kind and got me into my dream vehicle in January 2020. The second one I’ve owned, I had been looking for another one that’s the same as my first car 11 years ago. He had one and it was such an easy process. amazing customer service and so helpful.
I would absolutely give zero stars if possible. We purchased a 2015 Ford Explorer in December, which sat for an entire month of the 3 months we've owned it, while we were out of town. Approximately 3,000 miles driven since purchase. It broke down, and long story short, we find out the motor is junk, and that it's not possible that the problems with the motor are recent.
Midstate offered no apology, made it evident they didn't care in conversation, and their "remedy" is to have someone they know replace the motor.... entirely at our expense of course. His friend's price with warranty is higher than the reputable shop we chose to complete the engine replacement.
I understand the "as is" of purchasing a used vehicle, but this is outrageously unethical. I honestly don't know how you sleep at night.
I absolutely will not recommend Midstate Sales to anyone, and will warn family, friends, coworkers, and anyone I hear of looking for a vehicle to stay away from this place.
I really don't like leaving negative reviews. It's unfortunate Midstate Sales chose to not do right by their customers.
I'm sure like most people I dread stepping foot on a used car lot. Not at midstate Auto. Their staff are courteous respond promptly via phone and email and never once did I feel like they were trying to sell me anything. they genuinely asked questions about what my needs were and informed me about each vehicle and how it would and would not meet my needs and left the decision to me. I have an amazing Ford F-150 now thanks to Midstate Auto. You can bet your bottom dollar I'll be purchasing there again. Thanks midstate Auto!!
I bought a super clean, very well taken care of, black 2004 Ford F150 from these guys. So far so good, no problems as of yet! Very helpful, decent people to work with, I stopped one day on my through from St.Cloud to Wisconsin to test drive the truck, came back and picked it up 2 days later, they also give out the piece of mind of a 30/1000 warranty. We will be looking for a vehicle for my wife soon and ill be considering these guys first on my list when we start looking! Knowledgeable staff, thank you Mike Rich for dealing with me on this truck.
Bought a 2000 Honda Accord Coupe from them almost 2 years ago as a first car for our daughter after she just received her license and it is still running strong, zero issues what so ever. Good car, good people! I would buy from them again.
