The staff is courteous and friendly but the unexpected and unexplained fees are crazy on a $1000 vehicle expect fees from $900-1100 so double the price of the vehicle and then all the costs in making the vehicle safe to drive. Good luck! Their run and drive label only means that eventually the car will start and go into gear and that’s it. Not an accurate description.

Just mark everything as Junked. If a vehicle is "Sold As Is." then how is there a value on it? I purchased a vehicle for around $4,000. It said that the vehicle "Runs and Drives." The vehicle started and drove, but you couldn't accelerate. I expected a vehicle that needed work, but you could tell by all the spare parts located in the rear floor compartment that someone tried to fix a dead engine and gave up. The CarFax, Experian, and Dealership records were immaculate. Maybe take 5 minutes and pull the codes with an OBD scanner? Might save thousands of people a major headache. I guess I don't understand the business model of trying to hand off junk from one person to another. On top of everything you get around a thousand dollars in Bonus Fees! I don't know, its a shady operation. Explains the Lawsuits.......

Extremely angry with what has happened with my purchase through Copart. I needed a vehicle to drive temporarily and I thought this would be a perfect opportunity to get a cheap running and driving car. IF THE LISTING SAYS RUNS AND DRIVES, do not belive it! I just wasted 2 grand on a car that pisses oil and had a bad transmission. Also worth noting that the car has no brakes and smells like something died on the interior. The only damage listed was “minor scratches and dents” which is extremely far fetched. Obviously there is nothing I can do because all sales are final. I will never do business with this place ever again.

About a year ago I was selling a boat and the gals in the office informed me the title # was wrong so. I took it to the dmv to get it fixed. It took 4+ months for me to get the title mailed back to me. Someone tried to auction my boat w/o a clear title. These 2 gals called corporate and fought tooth and nail for me. Then corporate tried billing me storage of $465 again these same 2 gals got shit straightened out and got that charge canceled. They went WAY ABOVE FOR ME None of this was my fault I was there the same day they called me about the title being wrong and immediately took it to the dmv

All of the ladies at the front counter here are amazing. I just bought my first car here today and clearly didn't have a clue what I was doing yet they where very patient with me, walking me through everything even know they had other things going on. Even the loader driver was extremely patient and helpful with the process when we came to preview the car and didn't rush us. From start to finish here its been really amazing.

Beware of Blaine location and the shady general manager Christine Ward. Location wouldn't take my money order for vehicle payment after a 4 hour round trip and said they no longer take money orders and had stopped over a year prior but took my money order payment a few months prior. Doing a google search Copart site says they take money orders at all locations. Copart Blaine relisted the vehicle and are trying to charge me $600. Poorly run location and have always had issues at this location. Other locations in the state have been great to deal with. Was told by upper management that this location was under a watch because of so many complaints and they asked for all my documents to review.

I am writing this review on behalf of my mom. My grandfather was in an accident where he lost his life. The one thing we asked was for his license plate off the bike. His bike was sold to this company and we have contacted multiple times trying to get his license plate. There is a FedEx tracking number but shows it’s still there. This has been a really difficult time for our family and really unfortunate that the company has handled it this way.

This review isn't going to get me anywhere because copart could careless about their reviews. Be careful this location doesn't follow there policy. I was bidding on a car and it was sold all the sudden to the last non paying bidder more than 10 days after the allowed time by coparts policy. Completely unfair when I spend my time to come look at a vehicle that isn't even available. If it's not available or possibly sold don't put it up yet. Management can do better, it's not rocket science. I pay for a premier membership for a reason. You can at least follow your own policy.

Either being lied to or website is outdated. Not a member, but according to the website, non members can preview cars for $25 per person but this location won't let you view cars as a non member unless you bring a member with you. Makes no sense.

I recently purchased an older car with very minor damage from Copart, and while I didn't expect it to be in perfect condition, I did expect it to match the description provided. The car was listed as "running and driving," but this couldn't have been further from the truth. When I went to pick up the vehicle, it was missing the crankshaft sensor and serpentine belt. To make matters worse, the water pump had completely failed, and when we attempted to start the car, all the oil poured out of the hole where the crankshaft sensor should have been, forcing us to tow it home. It's clear that Copart never even attempted to start this car before listing it as "running and driving." This feels like a blatant misrepresentation, and I honestly feel scammed. I trusted the listing information and ended up with a vehicle that needed significant repairs just to be operational. Additionally, because Copart essentially has no competition, their fees are ridiculously high, and the amount of hoops you have to jump through just to check in and get into the building is downright obnoxious. The entire experience was frustrating from start to finish. If you're considering purchasing from Copart, be extremely cautious and prepare for a lot of extra costs, hassle, and the possibility that the vehicle you receive may not match the description. Update: This cars physical damage was not the reason it made its way to copart, the damage had significant rust and had been there for a while. Digging into the car it is now very obvious the previous owner was chasing an engine problem, found that the engine needed to be replaced and sent it to copart. The damage to the motor was significant enough to prove that they never started it.

these people are the most disrespectful people they are right next to us. make more noise then any business that has ever been in place of crashed toys we thought we got rid of the noise when crash toys left. cant even watch tv cause all they do is play thier music loud and drive all the toys they fix like a bunch of maniac. ripping around not giving us much of peace. it obvious the owner lets then do what ever they want. contact your local city and complain so we can stop these people and thier ways.

Fair warning to anyone who wants to try to auction their vehicle, they do not care about doing damage to your vehicle and not take responsibility, first picture is before and second is after when I took it back. They forced the door open causing significant damage to the fender and door. This is about $1200 in damage due to how new my vehicle is.

Went to visit to look at a car, website clearly states that Nonmembers are welcome to preview vehicles too, but they will be charged a $20 visitor fee for each visit. Nobody seemed to think this was a real thing and I showed them this directly from the copart website. I created a guest account and still they couldn't figure out how to let me in. Called customer service and they said the non-member clause is basically for a member bringing a guest who is a non-member which is very misleading.

Came to look at the car, lady in front tells me to buy a vest or she is not going to let me in, and they didn't have any on hand. I went bought the vest, then she tells me they are closed since its auction day. Won a vehicle, description specified side and front damage, picture taken had a blurred image, vehicle is a rollover with a roof damage. Two weeks later after paying for delivery and vehicle they kept adding fees without any explanation what it's for and not returning my calls. They also double charged me on sales tax and title transfer fees. Great customer service example of falling integrity and impunity.

So i was told an offer for a car and i accepted, they said there tow guy would call me.. i called the tow truck people right after so i could figure out when they could come grab the car but they didnt answer phone… then todoy i go to my gmail account and copart said my offer was canceled. No explanation why, no phone call. What a complete waste of time. I would have waited here probably another day or two if i haddent logged into my gmail account today.. TERRIBLE business to deal with

A real live headache and robbery. The process to lnspect cars is a headache. If you buy a car that hasnt been registered in 5 years they will make you pay for those 5 years. Buy a $500. It will be $800 in fees. I ran a car in their auction and they charged me for washing and detailing A already waxed and detailed car. On the picture u can see they spayed it with water. Be careful.. be very careful

Super disappointed with their process and their customer service. Had a friend make a purchase for me yesterday for a vehicle that I was in dire need of obtained bill of sale showed up to actually pick up the vehicle and they couldn't find it and that was what he was told. The following morning they show that it's been sold they show exactly where it is on the lot row and what yard number but when we call we're told that the sale is being reversed with really no explanation other than they can't find the vehicle! Through all this I lost a friend a car and potentially my job because that's how I make my money called customer service and spoke to someone who told me they were reaching out to the manager and have yet to hear back I'll update if that changes otherwise be careful on how much money and time you invest.

I totaled my vehicle dec 17th and it is now jan 9th and they still haven't went and picked up my vehicle so that I can get my insurance check to purchase a new vehicle. They were suppose to get it 2 days ago and I was told they said the weather was to bad to retrieve my vehicle. That's nothing but lies and we haven't had snow in over a week. Very unprofessional!

Writing this review as I'm waiting in line to see a car. After checking in it's been 40 minutes and the car has not been brought out yet. While waiting I heard them argue with another buyer in front of me whom they overcharged. They keep telling this lady to go to the other location to get the money back and other location sent them here. Needless to say if you care about your time avoid this place. The one star is for the lady that checked me in. She is very pleasant so I guess that helps.

The ladies at the front of Copart are very nice and helpful and always willing to help. I have had few bad experiences in any of my transport pick ups there. I recommend them for the purposes of a vehicle transport location. They are a reliable location to get loads going to various places across the US.

Buyers be aware. I have purchased 3 total cars and I can say quality has gone done and prices are up. I only got a good deal on the first car, the last two were disasters. This company doesn't check what sellers say. They don't do an OBD check, don't take enough photos, or hold sellers accountable for lying about the situation of the cars. They also charge very high fees and offer no guarantee what so ever. I believe there are better auctions to deal with. Other companies offer a lot more detailed reports, photos and even guarantees on the cars they sell. My last advice is never buy a car that says the only damage is normal wear and tear it's an absolute trap.

I have purchased multiple cars from Copart, and never before have I had a bad experience. This all changed when I went to pick up a car from Minneapolis Copart. As I walked into the facility, there was nobody waiting on me. I patiently stood at the counter for about 3 minutes before a woman named Christine walked up to me. Apparently I had not signed in correctly, which didn't seem like too big of a deal to me, but to her, this was some sort of grave violation. I told her that I did not see the sign, and I was just there to pick up my car and get the title. She constantly accused me of arguing, and after I told her that the only sign that I could see was in SPANISH, she told me that if I kept "arguing" with her, she would "CANCEL MY ACCOUNT", even though she was the only one who was arguing, obviously she missed Retail 101, where the customer is always right. To be honest, that woman should be fired or given a stern talking to. Customers should not be yelled at for making a simple mistake, and definitely not be threatened with the cancellation of their account, especially when they have given significant business to the company.

Your first time?? Great idea for a business. Have to check in online. The staff treats you like you already know everything so I recommend starting with "This is my first time here, how does this work?" Also, if you don't personally pay for the membership, you cannot go on the lot. They do provide a map, but it's a little difficult to read lol. Definitely bring a jump starter pack of you're trying to accomplish anything!

I came to say goodbye to my car. I was rear-ended by a distracted driver and she totalled out my car. It ended up here. They were very helpful and friendly in helping me get stuff out of my car.

The agreement that was made for the purchase of my vehicle was unfulfilled. My car was picked up from a service center without my knowledge, without receiving the title, and without giving me a check. I have sent emails and made phone calls, with no response. I will say the employees at the Fridley office were very kind and helpful.

I bought a cbr, i called copart customer service if i come to pickup after 3 days how much is storage charges, they said 5$/day, so i pickup after 10 days buy they charged me 250$! Copart said its related to crashedtoys, crashedtoys said no! ....

This is not a junk yard. They have good stuff. I found the staff to be very nice polite, patient and helpful. I adopted Clifford the BigRedDodge there. I love him!!!!

Not a bad place. Very limited parking and loading space, I was very surprised how small the parking lot is. Ham Lake is a bit nicer and spacier. The customer service I got was pretty exceptional, I'm use to mopey/rude service but my visit on Wednesday was quite comfortable when I had to fill out my title form. Not sure who the guy was I talked to on the phone but he was great, helped me right away. Thanks to Susie for holding my title. Thanks to other girl that helped me fill out the title forms since it was my first time after finding out I had to drive 35 miles to get the title filled out after waiting 6 weeks, guy at the sublot said the title would just arrive in the mail with the paperwork lol. Lesson learned, beginner's luck. Only thing that sucks is my title won't arrive apparently for 3-4 months. That's a big bummer to me. Only other complaint that's more my fault is when they rinse cars out before pictures and placing on the lot my car must have not got an undercarriage wash, picked it up and the rockers have all but rotted away entirely. Again, my fault for not checking it out before buying.
