I waltzed into the transfer station, expecting choo-choos and train whistles, but, plot twist, it’s just a fancy dump for trash! No locomotives, just garbage. I was miffed, but the guy at the gate saved the day, eyeing my biceps and declaring, “You’re strong!” Then he gushed over my sunglasses like I was a runway model. His enthusiasm for my shades and supposed strength turned this trashy mix-up into a bizarre ego boost. I’ll return, if only to flaunt my specs and flex for the gate guy’s applause. Five stars for absurdity!
Charged me $100 for a mattress and box spring. Wanted another $30 for small pile of scrap wood. Found out later that Cloquet transfer only charges $20 for a mattress or box spring. Rip off artist.
Note that hours are incorrectly listed. Closes consistently around 1pm. Seems spendy except for cardboard recycling which is free. WILL NOT TAKE ANY ELECTRONICS. Minnesota Nice means not very friendly service.
