What clients say about Taylor Auto Salvage in Taylor (MI)

As a Local Guide, I always appreciate businesses that go above and beyond — and Taylor Auto Salvage in Taylor, MI definitely does! My husband comes here all the time and always has a great experience. The owners are super friendly and helpful, and they even offer wheelbarrows to make it easier to haul your parts. Everything is well organized by make, the prices are fair, and the yard is kept clean and easy to navigate. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for quality parts and honest people!

this place is OK. Little rustic with pretty disorganized vehicle layout. But I did find a few parts I was looking for.

Been a customer over 20 year's absolutely Wonderful employees and very best prices anywhere. I visit just a few times each year and always find what I need on the super cheap. No entrance fee price less than half of others I look at online to compare. Needed a rear leather half of seat Buick Rendevous. All other places $75 to $100 got it $25 WOW fantastic. Last year got a Hood, Grill, Fender and Headlight for $77 damn good deal, other places wanted a hundred bucks just for the hood. That was for a Dodge Dakota even got the same color how cool. Be sure to like the Facebook page for updates. My favorite Bone Yard you should visit.

Even if they don't have the part I need sometimes it's just fun walking around there. A little bit of shopping for everybody especially in the front office you never know what you're going to find I need to use junk tables. Staff is always helpful an entirely friendly. Probably best deal on used tires you're going to find you pick them yourself.

Maybe other people are not being truthful with me, but I am looking to purchase a GM Atlas 4200 inline 06 to 09 motor. I do not need the wiring harness, intake or exhaust manifold I just need the longblock. However, when I went to purchase the motor, I was told it would cost $750 and that is pulling it myself. Every other person I have talked to tells me that they picked up the same motor for between $250 to $400. Why is the price so much higher for motors here, especially when there is no gaurantee that motor is any good whatsoever and may require a full rebuild or worse yet the block may have to go to a machine shop which is about $1200. Even when I asked about an 03 shortly block out a of Trailbrazer, which did not have heads, valve cover was missing and the oil pan was had been taken, the price was still $750. I do not understand the exorbitant prices. Another case in point, there are lots and lots of 3800 Series II/III GM v6 motors just setting. In NA and supercharged form. These motors are so plentyful I have had two given to me, but still yet to pull a 3800 series II/III yourself and buy still runs $750. Finally I was looking at a 1.4L Chevy Cruze motor, the turbo and exhaust manifold were missing. The intake, coil pack and no wiring harness. I was looking to see of the block might be good for a rebuild and I was expecting to pay about $150 to $200, nope $750. Oh, the head had been removed as well. If the prices reflected at Taylor Auto Salvage are the norm across the US, then I guess if I want a motor I will have to pay the $750, but according to many of the people I have talked to on the 4200 forum on FB are kind of stunned when I tell them how Taylor Auto Salvage is asking for motors in most cases that are not even complete. I did call Taylor Auto Salvage to confirm prices and I was told yes $750. I said wow that's a bit expensive and the person I was talking to told me, well you do not have to buy anything from us. Good Bye and they hung up.

I was looking for some intake manifold bolts for my Dodge Ram 1500. For the life of me I could not find them anywhere, no clue why these bolts are not available on the market. Had to get them from junkyard. Found these guys down the road from me. They had them available. Went over there right away, had to remove them myself. Amazing auto salvage yard!

This is the best junk yard you can find because of the people that work there. There are a lot of yards that I visited. Atleast 11 just in Michigan, this is the only one I feel like coming home. People there amazing and you feel it. Not to mention prices!

Best salvage yard in the World, dude in there hooked me up with seats for my C10, I built my c10 with many good parts from there, I got me a new alternator from there. The owners are good Folks. I am in there at least once a month checking out inventory of wats good.

This place is slowly becoming one of my favorite yards! For its size the inventory flows in and out pretty quickly which is a plus in most circumstances! The lady at the counter is extremely nice everytime I've ever been!

Been coming here since I was a teen to fix my mistakes and to get bits and pieces to upgrade my vehicles. The flat rate pricing is my favorite part, its impossible to not love this place as a person who loves to work with his hands. My only wish is that they could some how get more land and expand, so there could be even more to pick through!

Extremely helpful workers and a laid back atmosphere. Very reasonable prices. Best pick your part yard I've found since moving downriver from Warren. Highly recommend over Farts Galore.

The easiest process of selling a car ever! I called in and the lady who answered was SO NICE and helpful! They were available to come pick up our car the same day, and it was all just such an easy process. They also paid an extremely fair price for our car. So I HIGHLY recommend this place.

They have a great friendly staff and the best prices around. Exceeded my expectations by far. They are an honest shop doing fair business which is hard to find these days in the auto market. Plus the lot is huge but organized. So you don’t have to waste an hour and walk a mile to find a car with the part you need. I will absolutely be back and I’d recommend it to any friend asking. Do yourself a favor and check it out.

Great place if you've never been. Seems to be expanding everytime I go there, at least once a month. Very well organized, constant rotation of cars( for those parts you don't need RIGHT now), helpful and friendly employees. Good amount of old schools also. Some shockers sometimes. Oh yeah, best part is they are now OPEN SUNDAYS. Happy hunting.
