My car went dead and I called them to come and jump it as my car has been jumped before and I have been told before that the problem was my battery. I called them to come out to me mind you they were only 10 minutes away from me the guy gets there to jump the car it doesn’t work I say I’m going to give you something since you came out he wanted $75 for nothing do not work with this company believe the bad reviews they are just money hungry and are not trying to help you at all!!!! And at that they wanted me to pay extra to get it towed to their shop and pay even more to get it fixed none of the money going towards fixing the issue do not work with them PERIOD

I’ve had multiple instances with this company and then it not showing. Most recently they called to say they were 30 minutes out, and then just cancel after a hour and not answer phone calls. I refuse to use them, they are a AAA listed towing company so they get auto dispatched. I will cancel my AAA if the ever send until towing company out to me again.

This is actually a zero star review but Google will not let you give zero stars. DO NOT USE THIS company. They are unprofessional and incredibly sketchy. When United was dispatched to tow my van by AAA, the driver was incredibly late. Once he arrived he requested cash payment of mileage overage before even towing the vehicle. When I asked for a receipt the driver said he could not give me a receipt for cash payments. I indicated that I had paid for overage over the phone with a card weeks ago when they had been dispatched by AAA to tow a different car and sent a receipt via text so I’d prefer to pay that way again. The driver said that they could not take a card. When I called the company I was told I would have to send them a photo of my credit card to complete the transaction because “their policy” changed and they could not just take the information over the phone. This is deeply concerning and seems like a fraudulent scam. While trying to pay over the phone, the driver took my van off the truck and left. After speaking with a manager about the situation he hung up on me. If you like terrible customer service and company’s that try to scam hardworking customers this is the company for you. They also have current alerts by the Better Business Bureau about their company. They are scammers and don’t deserve anyone’s business. Be cautious with doing business with them.

The driver was exceeding the speed limit - ran TWO 2 stop signs. Turned the corner so fast the truck and cargo tipped on 2 wheels. After entering I75 North proceeded to go over 120 miles an hour.

Driver backed into my gate dropped vehicle and drove off. On camera. Dispatch told us to call police and provide video. Detroit PD has proof of video surveillance. 10k in damages Police involved and lawsuit to follow

I’ve been waiting since 2pm for a 4:30 tow that somehow got extended to 7:05pm. Each hour another hour was added on. I called them at 5pm and they told me that I had one tow before me and that the driver would be contacting me shortly. Then they called me at 6pm to confirm I was still here and said the same thing. I then called AAA and had them dispatch another truck from somewhere else because this is by far the worst experience I’ve ever had in regards to towing I’ve ever had! I rarely leave reviews on anything but this is horrible! AAA should for sure get rid of these guys off vendors list asap!!

This was the worst towing company I ever used in my life. They lost my key to my car that’s for starters then they went back-and-forth on who was going to make a key for my car and then kept sending me to voicemail when I try to find out for three days straight how I was going to get my key they told me that the supervisor was supposed to take care of it no one called me and let me know whether or not they got my key. Please be careful pay attention. Don’t just let these people tell your car.

I had to call AAA due to a flat tire. The driver (United Towing - Dontae) was exceptional. I haven't had service of this caliber in ages. He arrived in a timely manner, and had me back on the road in no time. It's good to know good quality service, with a smile, still exist. I give this service call five stars. Thank you!

I called asking for a new battery and saying that I had one under warranty. Ahmed came and spoke mostly to my contractor working on the house about having him come work on his house. I asked him to test my battery but he just started jumping it. I asked him if he would be able to tell if the battery was bad and showed him my warranty. He said my warranty would be useful if the battery was bad but continued talking to my contractor, then eventually left and told me to try turning it on in half an hour. I left it running for longer than half an hour and it still wouldn’t start and I knew it was the battery… Called AAA back and they sent him back but this time I couldn’t be there (I’d already wasted multiple hours). I asked if my partner could handle the warranty exchange and was told yes. Ahmed came back and didn’t reveal he was the same guy who was sent until he became extremely aggressive with my partner of which I could hear it all over the phone. He was getting defensive and very angry over not doing the job the first time and refusing to take my warranty. He claimed I never asked for a new battery although in both of my call request - that is what I requested, not a jump. Given AAA only works with United Towing in Detroit area, I canceled my AAA and will be reporting to BBA as well as Attorney General. I ended up buying a battery from autozone.

AAA need's to drop their contract with this company. I waited 5 hours for a battery boost which I never received They kept changing the eta approximately 4 times. Then call shows up as completed after I watched driver sit in one spot for over 30 minutes on the mobile app. Called AAA and get another eta for another hour and 45 minutes. Finally I told AAA cancel the call don't want to deal with them and told then to read the reviews. Now 6 hours later Im waiting on a back up tow company. So basically this company is in way over their head. Do not recommend

This place operates like the 1800s…. Not to mention the quite rude males they send out towards females.They claim they have no records on the batteries they sell under warranty …. It’s 2022 and you don’t have a electronic method of keeping sales???? Then they don’t tell you at the time of purchase that you have to hold on to your Receipt for the three-year duration of the warranty or else you won’t be able to replace your battery???? That’s just a scam move. Even a little eBay store lets you keep track of all sales and purchases. No one has any records of the sale yet there’s a AAA battery under my hood. I guess I bought it at kroger. Scammers

This Company is very unprofessional. THEY DESERVE ZERO STARS!!! If you have AAA make sure you tell them not to use this company. He lied about AAA rules. The driver was rude with a bad attitude and looked shady. He stated that I could be a theft even though my address and name matched the AAA call. Who would have a broke down car towed to a dealership too steal it. Unprofessional!!!

Hello my name Brandon Smith I drive Tow Truck M-25 I will like to ask that you good people to give us at United Towing a chance to service you, I've been working for the company for two months, I do understand that their are bad apples, but that is why we have took this matter very serious and released a lot of old Operators, and with myself new Operators let us show you the New United Towing, Thank you and have a great day.

I've used United Towing (via AAA) at least 30 times in the past 5 years or so. Why? I keep buying project cars. The last 5-10 times, service has been exemplary. Each tow tech has taken great care of my vehicles even when the cars were a POS. When I suggested alternate routes or any deviations from the norm, there weren't any issues. They've helped me push cars in backyards, diagnose issues, etc... I don't think that I've ever had ONE issue with a driver. Now dispatch, that's another thing. For the most part, they do their jobs well. Straight to the point. But when they want that rating, YIKES. They called me non-stop for 5+ hours, with at least 7 different phone numbers just so that I can leave feedback. I was AT WORK. I ended up blocking their number(s) over the next two days. Absolutely absurd.

I would never choose this company as a provider if I was ever in need. This driver cut me off on eastbound Ford Road and when I finally got up next to him this is what he does is give me the finger great business you have they’re not

STOP, DONT, REFUSE SERVICE. My experience with United Towing is just as bad or the same if not worse. The previous reviews are a true and accurate account of events. It mirrors my experience with United Towing. I have roadside service membership and less than a year ago I purchased this battery under my roadside service company. United Towing works under the protocols of the roadside service company and refused to replace my battery that they installed without the written paper receipt from 2021. So, if you have a electronic receipt, a picture of the receipt or a bank Statement as proof of purchase and service UNITED TOWING WILL NOT HONOR THE SERVICE WARRANTY. PLEASE DON'T EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER support this business. Save yourself time,.money and stress. Report your complaints to your roadside service company, send proof and receive your money back in its ENTIRETY. Support a business that supports and appreciates you. Please report your experience and complaints to the Better Business Bureau and the Governor Office in Lansing. REMEMBER TO ALWAYS READ AND POST REVIEWS.

This company was sent out by AAA. My husband's truck wouldn't start. They did a diagnostic test on the truck and said it was the battery. Although our battery was under warranty, we went ahead and purchased because he had extremely important things to handle this day. They installed the battery and the car still wouldn't start. My husband had them run another diagnosis and then said it's the alternator. So we called and asked for a refund and they (manager) said there's no refund on a used battery. We told them it wasn't used unless they just put in a used one. We told them the tech literally just left. So then the Manager said ,well we still don't do refunds. We told them they told us it was the battery and they lied so we could purchase one just to tell is it's the alternator. Of course we never used the battery because the car still wouldn't start. Still wouldn't issue a refund. I asked for the owners name and he refused to give it to me. The manager was extremely rude and dismissive. I asked to leave my info for the owner of course I never received a call. Not to mention a young lady with the company called back and said they would issue a refund before I spoke to the manager. I waited a couple of days to see if I would receive the check in the mail. The manager said, the women here don't know what they're talking about, they're women. Of course I never heard from the owner and never received a refund.

My experience was horrible A guy came and towed my car and did a horrible job he broke even more things that were actually broken . He told me it was his first day he had never did it before . It took him 30 minutes to get my car off of his tow truck ! And then he just pulled off with parts of the tow truck still attached I called and told them what had happen and there response was they have nothing to do with that ‼️‼️ Horrible I do not recommend look how he just left it in the drive way ??‍♀️??‍♀️

This company refused to take our tow even though they are a AAA provider and AAA called them. They still denied it. They said they told AAa they were to busy...but told me they had shorter runs that they could take. They didn't want to drive the 83 miles that was needed. I think it is poor customer service for a company to sign a contract with AAA and then not honor that contract because of easier runs. I do not recommend them and hope to never have to use them.

Waited all day just for them to cancel on me. I was actually told they dispatched a driver and he would be there within 90 minutes. After a no show in 90 minutes I called twice and got no answer. 15 minutes later I was called back and told they no longer had a truck to come to me. This was set up through Triple A. I 100 percent do not recommend this company. I was told repeatedly that they would get my car towed today and they failed. Since it was a claim I’m sure they chose to cancel my tow and go with the highest bidder. Companies like this will never be trustworthy. Wasted my entire day and took off work. If you don’t have time to waste do yourself a favor and go with another company. Dispatchers were very unprofessional and didn’t care at all about my situation.

I called AAA and they were sending this company out. They said they would be there in 20 min. I watched the map of the driver and he went back and forth and stopped multiple times and then said he arrived. He never showed up. I called him and he never answered. After 45 min he called and said that because I, the AAA cardholder, was not with the vehicle, he would not pick me up even though I had given the name of the first responder who would stay in my vehicle as it wasn’t safe for 2 women on the side of I-75. They continued to refuse to pick up my vehicle. They told me to call AAA. They wouldn’t call to verify. I have been waiting for 7.5 hours for a tow. This is poor service. She was told by AAA this was a priority call as the police needed the vehicle off the road. She didn’t care. This is no kind of service. When I challenged her, she hung up on me. Update: dispatcher lied to me. Driver told my first responder that she told him that he didn’t have to pick up the car until morning because I wasn’t with the car. She said she had no knowledge of me not being with the car, that’s why I needed to call AAA. I guess you should tell your lie to your driver to cover for you if you don’t want to get found out.

Absolutely wonderful experience! My driver was maybe the sweetest person I've ever met in my life! She was bubbly and pleasant and extremely reassuring! AAA said I originally had an estimated wait time of 2.5 hours. The dispatcher called a few minutes after I received the text that they were the company signed to the job, and the dispatcher was very empathetic and positive! She said that this was the quoted potential time, but that they would do everything they could to not take 2.5 hours. Although, I really made sure to let them know that I was fine with whatever they needed to do. I am safe and warm in my own home. But they definitely followed through! It was only about an hour! The level of urgency, empathy, and compassion portrayed this evening was refreshing and just what I needed in a stressful and exhausting situation. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Oh! I suppose I should share about the actual quality of her work, lol. She was able to get my car out of an apartment complex parking lot with no problems. Very obvious that she was highly skilled and experienced! She is exactly who I would want to handle my vehicle in any future situations.

Had to call AAA when my tire blew out on the freeway. They dispatched United and within 15 minutes Carlos arrived to my location. Most friendly and helpful tow truck operator I have ever had the pleasure of encountering!! He had my tire changed out in under 10 minutes AND as we were going our separate ways I witnessed him help out a man down on his luck on the corner of 94 and van dyke. Super awesome human being—thank you Carlos!

THEY WILL DAMAGE YOUR CAR! CALL ELSEWHERE. PLEASE READ. The driver arrived at my house about 30-45 minutes beyond scheduled arrival time. Tow truck driver was surprised that my wheel was off even though I let them know beforehand and he was hesitant towing it but reassured me that everything would be okay and stated that he has been in the business for "20 years and knew what he was doing". Tow truck driver began to unsuccessfully tow car using a jack on the front side while pulling it on the bed of the truck simultaneously. At this point the car had no ground clearance and the bottom of the car was being dragged on the driveway while I was observing that parts were being shifted and breaking. These parts included the sway bar links that bent in half, left front axle shifted and bent, left lower control arm and ball joint were tweaked and the left front backing plate was damaged the transmission oil pan was also damaged and dented. At this point - I asked the driver to stop and call for help because I was not confident in his work and he responded with an insult asking me how old I was and told me that I am "a girl and did not know how cars work". After 2 hours of struggling to get the car on the bed of the tow truck the driver would not let me drive with him to the auto shop and told me that I needed to get a ride there even though I did not have one and I reminded him that when I called for service I requested I would be riding with the driver to the auto shop. After 10 minutes pleading to the driver to allow me drive with him as originally requested and agreed upon he finally agreed but failed to let me know that we would be making a stop and then took me on another service call with him in Pontiac for a different customer. After a 20 minute detour we were finally on our way to the Auto Shop but as a result of the time it took for my vehicle to be put on the truck and the detour we arrived late and the auto shop was closed. I let the driver know that the owner of the shop requested that we put the vehicle in the back of the shop, however, the driver felt that he would be blocking the garages and made his own decision to leave it in the front blocking the entrance of the shop and some gas pumps. We asked him to leave it there and get the job done right but he did not oblige. The driver pulled up to the front of the shop and again struggled to get the car out of the bed of the truck causing more damage to the vehicle as he was loading it off. (SEE ATTACHED BEFORE AND AFTER PHOTOS; UNABLE TO UPLOAD THE VIDEO I HAVE RECORDED ON GOOGLE) The next morning I received a phone call from the owner of the shop asking to re-tow the vehicle to the back. I called the towing facility and requested that they send someone out again to place the car in the correct position The tow company refused to go back and finish there work but left me with thousands of dollars worth of additional damages that initially did not need repaired but were caused by the incompetent driver. I HAVE PLEADED WITH AAA TO TAKE ACTION AGAINST THIS FACILITY AND I WILL CONTINUE TO FIGHT FOR THE DAMAGES CAUSED. I WILL PUSH FORTH A LAW SUIT IF I DO NOT HEAR BACK. PLEASE SAVE YOURSELF MONEY AND TIME. TO THIS DAY I HAVE NOT RECEIVED ANY COMPENSATION OR APOLOGY FROM THE OWNER BUT INSTEAD HAVE BEEN LEFT WITH A HUGE BILL TO PAY. THIS COMPANY SHOULD NOT EXIST AND NEEDS TO BE SHUT DOWN.

Terrible experience with this company on multiple fronts. AAA dispatched for battery service and a tow. Battery service came out, correctly assessed that the battery, connectors, and alternator were faulty. Issue was, they replaced the battery with one that looked like it had been in use for several years. Guy didn't even test it before leaving and I myself didn't see it until my mechanic pointed it out. Luckily, AAA had a warranty to cover it and another company came out and replaced it. The real kicker though is the texts and phone calls I've received approximately every two hours in the two days since I received their services regarding rating their services. Seems a bit counter-intuitive to badger people with phone calls for a good review? Reported to AAA regarding both matters. Only reason they're getting two stars is our tower (Brian I think; different guy than battery service). Was nice enough to drop off the car then drive me and my friend back to my place. And the result was his dispatch calling him up and chewing him out. You deserve better, man.

Yesterday was a crazy day. Including me locking my keys in my car. They came out and took care of it. Did not like the long wait but the driver was cool.

I had a good experience. I put in a claim with AAA for flat tire service. I tracked the call on the AAA website and saw that a truck was dispatched within minutes. They were on route within 15-20 minutes and reached me about 35 minutes after I entered the request. The employee was courteous and professional. I haven't driven on the spare he installed, but barring it popping off on my way to the repair shop, I'd say the guy did a great job.
