This dude named Paul tried to charge me $75.99 to put a SPARE on my car. I asked why so much. “Well half hour labor, I got take the tire off, throw the tire away, mount the tire” what?????

Took my 17 Jeep Renegade to Belle Tire because I went out to go to work one morning and when I went to start the vehicle every light on my dash came on and when I hooked up my scan tool there were codes in every module pointing to a bad right front speed sensor and I thought maybe I had a bad wheel bearing. About two hours after I dropped it off they call saying they can’t work on it, that there was an issue with the module itself and they recommended I take it to the Jeep dealer across the street. Well my family and me in particular have had terrible experiences having vehicles serviced at dealerships and for about the past 15 years I will bring my car to Stan’s and talk to Paul at the front desk about what’s going on with the vehicle and they are always honest and do a great job and while I’m not going to say it’s cheap (it never is having a car worked on anymore) compared to what the dealership would charge throwing parts at it they are a bargain. Anyways, it did take them a day to get the car done but it ended up being being the speed sensor which is a cheap and easy fix compared to needing a new module and they checked the wheel bearing and said it was still good and I can tell they even checked the rest of the suspension to make sure everything was tight because it drives so much better and the price was fair. Thank you Paul and everyone at Stan’s for saving me from a day under the car in the snow and freezing cold!

I tried and thought a lot before posting this review. Stan's Garage is old in the years but not in the knowledge or workers. If I dont speak what happened with me I be lying to myself, and hiding the truth. I brought in the van and it had a coolant drip. There was no sounds whatsoever. It stayed there 20 days. The coolant leak is fixed but the whole van is damaged. I came back twice. And i paid lots of money and no result. Lots of sounds showed up in the engine and they are not going away. What's the reason if one part is damaged, and gets fixed then everything else gets damaged along with it , the engine gets ruined, and starts making noises?.. I hope someone can tell us. This thing bothers me very very much. I lost $1500 here and I lost my van. If anybody wants to wreck their home and work they come and see Stan's Garage.

i have been bringing my vehicles to stans garage for years !they are honest, dependable ,and do great work, and they do the work very fast ! you can be sure you are getting the best work for your money here !! They keep my van going with over 300000 miles on it !! i highly recommend stans garage to everyone !

I took the van in because the air conditioning was not working they had trouble finding the leak. When the leak was finally located they explained my options and cost and the least expensive option was the best option. The brake light was on and they said that was something they could fix.
They never tried to push any unnecessary service and were very open and honest about everything.

Fast service, great value, and friendly people. We had our car back quickly and they even called a few days later to make sure we were happy! I highly recommend them!

They did an excellent job replacing the exhaust on my Ford E-350 Club Wagon. It's way quieter than it's been in years. They also tightened up the front end, so it handles way better than it used to. I would definitely recommend their services.

My experience was the very best experience as always. My family have been going to Stan’s Garage for many years and won’t ever go anywhere else. The owner is very professional, knowledgeable and trustworthy. The staff is very helpful and always do their best to help you get your needs taken care of. Everyone there is top notch and friendly.

I had heard about Stan's Garage for years...that they were honest, respectable, and took good care of their customers. I had actually sent people to them when asked if I knew of a good service garage. Just the week before my visit, I sent a young man from my company who had problems with the tires on his truck. On his way to Stan's, the truck broke down and had to be towed there. He came back to work just elated at how he had been treated and the lower than expected cost of the repair. I called and spoke with Jenny, to whom I had an instant liking. She set up a morning for me to drop my car off. Unfortunately, she had to call me back later in the day to say that they were unable to look at my car for tire and brake inspection because of a back-up of service to other vehicles. I decided to let them keep my car over night and hoped they would inspect it the next morning. I received a call that morning stating that my car did need repair and the cost. I asked if it could be done same day, since I had to work the following day. They assured me that they could do this...and, they did! Not only was my car in good working order, but it had been washed as well! I am very pleased and will continue to give my business to this great establishment

I have been back to Stan's Garage a couple of times since posting the above. The last time was a couple of days ago. I had a tire leak and it was fixed quickly. As always, the people there were very nice and professional. I will continue to visit this great establishment for my casr maintenance.

Scott was fast and efficient with getting my vehicle back in great timely manner. My vehicle was cleaned and running great after I picked it up. After having issues with dealerships that gave me the run-around. I think I have a auto center for all my vehicles.

If you are searching for a trustworthy shop to work on your vehicle I highly recommend you stop here. After failed attempts and wasted time and money at other shops I began searching around and reading reviews this shop stood out from the rest and after deciding to do business with them I see why. There's no weird shady business vibes when you come in it's just a straight up welcoming environment due to the great customer service and respect you receive when entering. I didn't feel like I annoyed the rep when I was asking questions and letting him know what was wrong with my car with my very basic knowledge of cars and how they work. I brought my car to them in the morning when they opened and by noon it was looked at and the problem was identified I was given several scenarios of what I might have to pay before they proceeded to work which I appreciated and then once I ok'd it they had my car ready the next morning. I expected to pay a much larger bill than I received because I was told they may need to replace a part in one of the scearnios I was given, but it turns out I didn't need it and just knowing that they could've just scammed me by saying that they did need the part gives them major respect in my book and also my car drives great now. Check them out you won't be disappointed. **Update** I also received a text a few days after the service to make sure everything was fine, you really don't get that service and respect anymore.

I've been taking my vehicles here for over 10 years. The service has always been great and the office staff is super friendly and funny. I've even moved away from the area but still drive 45 minutes to this repair shop as they seem to be the only mechanics in the business that truly care about their customers and telling them what's really wrong with their vehicles. They also work with you if you can't afford all the repairs at once and will let you know what needs repaired immediatly and what can wait. I've even recommended friends and family who live in the area up to 1.5 hours away from the area. They all have been happy with the service, honesty and prices of repairs. Glad I found this shop as dealerships can't touch the quality of repairs Stans provides and the customer satisfaction I always receive.

Went in to diagnose a grinding noise with my vehicle, they listened to me fail at my attempt to make the noises my car was making (insert facepalm here). They drove me home so I could wait there while they looked at things, get a call an hour later after finding the problem and ended up picking my car up same day. Excellent customer service and now my car rides buttery smooth. This will be the only place I take my vehicle from now on, reasonably priced and fixed first try, not much else you can ask for.

They charged me $230+ for a new battery. Which did not get rid of my problem. Turns out it was the alternator. So I let you judge whether they screwed me over willingly or they are just incompetent. Their marketing team on the other hand is the best I’ve ever seen for a car shop. They still send me very friendly texts months after my visit. Awesome service.!!! I've never had more confidence in my vehicles being serviced than at Stan's Garage. A lot of places in the past, the work was done with the mentality of " that's good enough "... But not at Stan's Garage.!!! The work is done RIGHT, as if the mechanic's own child would be driving the vehicle he is repairing.!!! This was my experience with their mechanic Dan Owens. This young man knows his stuff.!!! I've never had such confidence in a mechanic as I do with him.!!!

No matter what problem you have with your vehicle. When you take it to Stands GARAGE it gets fixed right the first time. And if you drive a way and have a problem with your vehicle it sure is not what they fix. I have been a customer since I believe 1998. And never once was let down. My experience with Stan's Garage has been nothing short of excellent. They have competitive pricing and knowledgeable ASE certified employees. Very cordial and professional staff members. Stan's Garage is a cost effective alternative to OE dealer service.

Just took my car there twice in a week as I was in a pinch since the previous auto shop I had gone to closed down. A bit pricy as I was surprised to see they charge to diagnose the problem as my previous place did not. Both visits they promptly fixed my car and Larry was really helpful and friendly. I will admit the man at the desk was a bit unfriendly and a bit rude overall about when my car would be ready even though was told otherwise by Larry. Was kind of rude in general. Was happy to see they washed my car. Overall was pleased and would probably come back for further service.

I found Stan's Garage by searching for BG products distributors near me. I'm new to Dearborn Heights, having moved about a year ago from West Michigan. A trusted and competent mechanic had served me there for over 10 years. My first-time experience with Stan's Garage was very positive. The price for the oil change was fair, they didn't try to sell me anything I didn't need. But the icing on the cake happened when I went to get into my car, and discovered they had washed it! That's over-the-top customer service and earned my 5-star rating.

I took my car in today for a break inspection and some other stuff. They took my car in right away and gave an estimate of the charges within an hour. Everybody was very courteous. Offered me coffee while I was waiting. The atmosphere there was very friendly. I decided to go with them to fix my car. Mr. Larry, the owner himself offered to drop me to work which was some 5 miles away.We were almost there when I realized I left my laptop and lunch in the car at the garage . Mr. Larry turned the car right around with a smile on his face. He got my stuff out from the car including my lunch. Such hospitality is not seen these days . I was really really impressed by his gesture. After they fixed my car, Mr. Larry came to pick me at work and my car was washed and ready in their driveway waiting for me . I will recommend Stan's Garage to anybody and everybody. People with good hearts will always do a good job. I am sure my car was fixed with the best parts and I will have no troubles for a long time. I was having some car trouble and didn't know where I should take it. I was a single parent of three and desperately needed my car fixed. It's hard to believe this is a standalone shop. You would think that the way it is run, it would be a nationwide chain....it's THAT good.

I have lost count on how many automobiles I have owned and had service completed at local, national and dealerships, so I know what I am talking about.

Stan's is the place I wished I'd known about years ago, but I am glad I found them.

The level of expertise and personal service is level with or exceeds the best shops I've dealt with.

OK, loved it might be a little strong, because nobody likes having to do car repairs, but these are my "go-to" mechanics. Their work is done right, they are reliable and dependable. They alert me to potential problems before they get critical. I've recommended them to friends.....whose judgement I value.....and they agree.

I bought a Mercedes 1999 slk 230 that I knew very little about and the right turn signal was not working. I know these cars are expensive to work on so I looked around for someone with a great reputation in servicing these type of cars. I stopped by, explained my needs and they diagnosed it by the symptoms. The work was done on time and saved me the expense of misdiagnosing the problem
They are not cheap and there is a good reason for that, they are professional and reasonable with prices. With there diagnosis I checked other places and they were slightly lower but I could not happier with the results.

The service I receive is excellent. My work van has over 200,000 hard miles on it, and still runs great. The owner Larry always explains thoroughly the repairs needed, and stand behind his work. I never felt overcharged. I would definitely recommend.
