I purchase headlights for my vehicle whole assembly system it worked great put the lights on the car I even purchased a hood for the car after traveling an hour to get to the junkyard and working on my vehicle was refused to use the restroom buy an employee with a ? ...so to the employee I explained to him my situation with irritable bowel syndrome and being on laxatives and how it causes me to have accidents due to the two surgeries I had giving me a medical disability that I needed a restroom right away I had documentation in my car to prove I had just gone through two anal surgeries I was discriminated against even though it's Michigan law that someone with a disability is to be able to use a private employee restroom when you have a disability in Michigan they would have had a repeat customer consistently this employee lost a lot of business for their company on top of this after doing my refund he didn't refund me the cash he only did a percentage to my card I had to drive all the way back to get my cash back bad business when an employee doesn't pay attention how they're doing a refund hopefully this company will in the future understand Michigan law for the people who have disabilities such as myself who need instant access to a restroom I had no choice but to drive to the gas station change my underwear wash myself off and come back to retrieve the rest of my money it's a horrible thing to put somebody through all of this and break the law
Good service decent prices. I wish they had a better warranty. I bought one engine and two transmissions from there and have had great success. Rob is the man to talk to.
Been here a couple times now, great customer service! The girl I talked to on the phone today was really nice, which I appreciate as most junkyards I call always have crabby people and aren’t friendly at all. Nice and easy process too for getting parts!
Their customer service sucks!! found them on carparts.com they had the part I needed called to make sure they had it the guy said they usually get a deposit but if I'm coming to get it they will have it pulled off and ready. When I got there the part was still on the truck confronted the guy about having the part off he lied and said he never said that. They said part only has scratch on it. Turns out had rust scratch dents. After 45 minutes of waiting I finally got the part. (It was still better than what I had) If I could give zeros I would. I will never go back there again!!
Called, they said they had the part I needed for a vehicle "in stock". Drove over a half hour. Waited while they located the part. Not the correct part. Had me wait in town while "they pulled" one of a junk vehicle. Said they'd call. No call -went back to check on the part after an hour, no part ready. Said "they'd call" - I left to return home, an entire day later and no communication. Total waste of my time. Don't think they had the part, just wanted to appease me to "get me out the building" because I had stated I drove over a 1/2 hour to get there. Talked with someone else from town and they said they had the same experience.
1st off it's a large recycling center,I've always got parts,in a timely matter,they operated correct. You're not at a expensive restaurant,things can go bad,they have warranty. Buy on line is always difficult.
Great service and great prices. I meeded a door for my car, and called the monday before Chrismas and got a call a couple of days after Christmas to tell me it was ready. I think I may have been there for a total of 10 minutes and was on my way.
After calling the times and asking if they had a part I needed, my wife looked on line and found the part number for the exact part I needed. I then called sholz auto and asked for that part number. They had three in stock. After 3 days of looking and being without a vertical, I finally got the part they had all along.

Gave me the wrong part came back to refund it and there machine was messing up and didn’t give me a refund they ended up telling
Me to leave the part there and will refund me through the phone later that day when they fixed the machine week goes by and still never got that refund everytime I would call them they would tell me they will call me back and wouldn’t had to drive back and pickup the part since I couldn’t get a refund only thing they could offer was store credit
My son came in and picked up a radiator for 2002 trailblazer last week and after trying to put it in realized it was the wrong radiator. It was off a 2009 envoy,transmission lines wouldn’t fit. We were told that they would have one pulled Monday for an exchange,being down a vehicle wasn’t able to come in till the following Friday. Now they are telling me I’ll have to wait till Monday or Tuesday to be able to exchange it. If given the option again of saving money going through them or new, they will not even be an option for me.
this place is garbage. they won't accept 3rd party shipping (they quote you double what you'd have to pay if you arranged it yourself) . Hold onto your 20+ year old parts, I'm sure that'll be profitable for you
Hadn’t been to Scholz in years, and just picked up an engine from them this week. Impressed by their new setup, definitely more organized, fast service (in terms of having removing engine and having it ready), and their price and warranty was reasonable. Will be going back again I’m sure.
Sold me a broken spindle that was clearly cut off the car instead of removed properly. I called same day to exchange or refund and was promised a call back from shipping and no one ever called knowing they were going to be closed next day forcing me to pay a shop to drill out the cut bolts. I asked for compensation and they flat out refused even after sending them pictures of the damaged product. DONT BUY FROM HERE UNLESS YOU HAVE MONEY TO WASTE PARTS ARE NOT INSPECTED BEFORE PURCHASE AND YOUR MONEY IS THROWN AWAY
Good service they pull the parts... Price's are reasonable...no restroom not even a out house why NOT ?? This place is down bout 2 miles dirt road so plan according.
Had a misunderstanding with motor I bought, Greg called a few days later and made it right with me, not a bad place at all. Good for car parts, they pull them so you don't have to.
Drove there to get a headlight that they said they had. When I got there they said it was missing. Then they wanted to sell me a new one with no discount to compensate for driving all the way there. Not even a hint of an apology. Never again.
Really rude and mean i drove one hour to see the car and they did not reapect the one hour drive.and the guy that showed me the car he did not let me to go for try and he did not let me touch anything in the car.he also did not have a mask on.he treated as very bad and he was mean. And i dont recommend this place for anyone
Bought an ac compressor from them. Everything bolted on, nearly identical, except wire harness plug was at a different angle. Couldnt use
Called them and they acted like i was lying because their computer says it right.
Compressor was also in very poor condition
Go the extra distance and use G&T in chesterfield
I'm a loyal customer since the 80's. I know the owner passed away. But the owners now are doing a good job. I got a slightly used rear axle. It needed to be massaged a little due to shipping and handling. But it worked great. It's in my daily driver. Thanks guys
