Terrible tow company! I Called AAA at 7am for a tow. They didnt accept the call until an hour later. They called at 1030am saying they would be there soon and would call when on the way. 3 hours go by, its 130pm. I call them back and ask if someone is coming, they said someone was on the way, i asked if that ment another 3 hours. He immediately got aggressive and threatened to cancel the call and asked if i wanted to find someone else. This company obviously takes advantage of people in need and treats their customers like crap because they know people are stranded and cant do anything about it. The whole conversation seemed comparable to being held hostage in an abusive relationship. Absolute worst tow experience of my life. Wish i could give negative stars, I hope noone has the displeasure of ever needing assistance from this pathetic excuse for a tow company in the Carsonville/sandusky area.
I used McCarty’s towing for the first time and they were absolutely wonderful! My daughter slid into the ditch and our driver Dave was fantastic! Dave called to gather the right information to make sure he would have the proper equipment to get the job done, very proactive. Dave gave us an idea of timeline and called again when he was on his way. He towed the car out and was very patient and kind. I will forever be a customer of McCarty’s, I highly recommend them! Huge thank you to Dave who was very kind and patient when I needed it most!
Had a feud with the previous owner of my car.
I explained to Davie (tow driver) the situation. He told previous owner that it’s not his car and handled it professionally!
He towed my car within minutes and it’s inexpensive :)) overall satisfied!

Not the type to leave good or bad reviews whatsoever. But this company cost me $250 out of pure laziness. For a short back story, I got towed from deckerville to fort gratiot on 11/28/25
The tow was straight forward, but when it came to getting a receipt so that my insurance could reimburse me for the service it has been nothing but issues over something so simple. It’s been almost 30 days now and the owner of the company for whatever reason has still not provided me with a simple receipt after I have nicely reached out to him multiple times via text and phone call. Very disappointing customer service from a small business.
They’re amazing always helpful I’ve used this company many times and any time I need a tow they’re my first call every single time the owners are amazing people and everyone who works for them are all so very kind and helpful if you ever are looking for a family oriented amazing company to go through this is it I highly recommend them
My husband and I were shopping at country view market in Snover, Michigan, and as we were leaving the parking lot, we discovered that we had a flat tire. One of your employees, Mike and his wife were about to leave the parking lot when they discovered we had an issue with our flat tire. First of all, Mike offered to call a wrecker to come and change the tire and after a minute worth of thought, he decided he would change the tire himself. The temperature outside was 85° and the sun was bearing down. My husband had never accessed and changed a tire using the donut in our 2018 Ford escape. I was more than happy to Employ Mike to Replace the tire. While Mike was busy removing the flat tire, his lovely wife called a tire center in Marlette Michigan and found the exact tire size of the Michelin‘s that we had on our car. We were back on the road in about 20 minutes and ever so grateful that Mike offered his services. We were able to visit the tire center in Marlette and get a brand new tire installed as the old tire was not repairable. Many thanks Mike!!
Dave was a huge help to me after hitting a deer on a Sunday morning. Even though he had a very busy day going, he volunteered to wait with me almost an hour until my ride arrived. Thanks so much for your attentiveness!
What a joke! After talking to AAA and somebody from the tow company and explaining that my vehicle should not be driven, I was then informed that when they picked it up they started the vehicle, turned it around and drove it onto the tow truck. Why would you even try to start a vehicle that your loading on a tow truck without knowing what was going on?
AAA sent them out to tow my car for service. They got my car quickly and with no issues. I owed an out of pocket fee and I missed their call when they tried collecting payment. I tried calling the number that called me multiple times, and also their business number on Google. Both lines went immediately to voicemail with a message saying the inbox was full. Then I tried to contact them on Facebook but I got an error message saying their business profile was on pause. I had no way to contact them, and it wasn’t until the next week that AAA contacted me about the outstanding payment. Once I paid, I was told I would receive a payment receipt via text, which I never did. My intention was never not to pay, but they needed to make it possible. They have some Admin things to work out, but the service was fine.
Beyond impressed with the new management team at McCarty Towing. Davie and Aaron took great care loading my classic one of a kind vehicle. It was a stressful day and these two gentleman handled themselves in a professional and respectful manner.
I can’t thank Dave enough for being warm, friendly, supportive, and caring. He was in communication with me all along and had very good manners. He is a hard-working man who is very good at what he does. He can face challenges with a smile.
Best service I ever received from a tow truck company. The funny part is the guy saw me stranded and stopped and called it in to AAA for me. I had broken down and was trying to reach my wife for a lift because I know AAA can take hours and figured I'd rather be home waiting then stuck on a roadside before I even called my AAA. He got me home saved me hours and even went under my car and unfortunately gave me the bad news that my car was pretty much done for ever. Nonetheless that saved me the headache of towing to the wrong place he went above and beyond in every measure. Anybody who complains about waits clearly doesn't realize AAA just works that way in rural areas a lot of the times. Dave could not have been nicer or more efficient.
Dave went above and beyond. He completely went out of his way to make sure we got our motorcycle & my husband home safely. We cant thank him enough. He really is just a GREAT guy!

This representative of AAA took 4.5 hours,and never showed. Kept saying enroute,granted it rained,canceled tow,paid Thumb towing,canceled AAA to. Partly AAA fault,they should of dispatched another truck. If his trucks were busy,2pm to about 6:30pm. Advice,pay youself,a getted reimbursement.

I found myself enjoying my 66 pickup on a nice Sunday afternoon when I lost a u-joint, I was in search of a flatbed service company when I did a quick google search to find McCarty Towing, The owner answered the phone and was quick to get his driver on-site, within 20 minutes. I had my truck towed approximately 30 miles South, I felt the cost was very reasonable and just added to the memory of a Sunday afternoon drive in the 66!
UPDATE: the owner called me to apologize for the dirt that was left on the interior of my vehicle. He offered to pay to have it cleaned. I am very satisfied and will definitely be using them again.
After having my car towed to a dealership for repairs (6 hrs later) I noticed filth as in dried up mud/dirt on my steering wheel my door and my dashboard and I complained to the dealership and when they came out to look at it, they told me they would never leave it that way for a customer and insisted that it must have been the towing company which obviously it was but it was bad.
Very fast and helpful service! The driver was super helpful and patient with me as I had not had my car towed before. They work with AAA which was very handy. I would recommend them.
I called them on a holiday (of course), and they made sure I was safe and towed my car to a secure location. Then the next day they towed the car 2 hours south to my dealership. Excellent people, excellent service, and actually cheaper than I feared it would be! Thank you so much, McCartys!
