I have a good time, but they don't follow what is advertised. Came to rolling thunder to watch adults race mini wedges. Cancelled without warning. It would have been great. Owner missed an opportunity to be unique and special.
Nice little dirt track. Affordable ticket prices too! Not alot of downtime between races. The entire crew did a great job at keeping the classes moving. Concessions were the best that I have had for tracks this size. The facilities were clean and well maintained. We had a great first visit there and will be coming back soon!
Always a good place to go to enjoy racing. You can bring your own beer.. you can hang out and have fun with good people. And I always have fun when I'm there. Totally recommend going.
This place has been amazing. My man has a street stock & races here. Good food, decent prices & overall a fun night out. Missing Winston raceway but Thunderbird has been there & nothing beats a good dirt track..
Food variety was pretty good, the staff and patrons are friendly. The Races were a blast with fun commentary. A definite go to and it doesn't drain your pocket book.
I attended the race last night on 8/26/23. During the first feature of the night, a car lost a tire between turns 3-4. Supposedly a fan was struck and injured by the tire in the pit area. I say "Supposedly" because nothing was said over the PA system for 30-45 minutes! As we (spectators) watched emergency vehicles enter and leave the venue, we waited for an announcement or at least an update on the situation. I watched spectator, after spectator, leave the event in disgust! After what seemed like an eternity, the track announcer came back on to the PA system to tell us that they were going back racing as if nothing ever happened!! Like with anything in life, COMMUNICATION is key to success! With that being said....as always, GREAT RACING, bad etiquette and communication with your paying fan base.

I left you constructive criticism as a Thunderbird fan. I NEVER suggested that you release any private or personal information! I merely stated the fact that NOTHING was said during the prolonged red flag condition! Any information such as intentions to continue or cancel the venue and WHY we were in a prolonged red flag condition would have been appreciated. None of that information would have been a "blatant" disregard to the privacy of any individual(s)!
I have grown up at this track. It use to be a great family friendly place. Now the new owners are all about drama and blasting minors on fb. I hope they lose a lot of business.
This track has changed ownership three times in three years. Apparently, just because you can afford to own a racetrack, doesn't mean that you should. Just when everyone thought things couldn't get worse than last years owner, it did! The current owners are very unprofessional and are driving racers away.
Absolutely love coming to the races at Thunderbird Raceway! Great times, great memories and awesome racing! Reasonable prices and parking is "free"! There is hot food and it is actually damn good coming from a concession stand! Also raves start at 6pm on Saturday Nights and gets over roughly around 10-11pm! The track is NOT ASPHALT it's a dirt track so with that being said prepare to get dirty and dusty. Oh your vehicle will need a car wash also the next day due to all the dust...But SUPER AMAZING times!
The only thing I was disappointed with is not many people were wearing face masks. It would be nice if there was a way to use your bank card. Carl brought a lot of cash with and it still wasn't enough. Everything else was great! The race car drivers in the pit were really nice to Logan and Lexie, letting them sit in their cars. The food was great. The employees there were awesome! I appreciated the race car drivers being out there giving us a great time! I really like how the one car was driven around all the curves on what looked liked one back tire, and he won by almost a full lap!
Had a blast!!!! Definitely reccomend safety glasses and ear muffs(if needed) as it is a dirt track and debris flys!! Havent been to this place in over 10 years and it doesnt seem to have changed much! Exilerating to say the least!
Nice track. They're good about keeping the show going without a lot of downtime between races. The announcer is awesome. The only problem is they need to follow the rules for every driver and not pick and choose who they apply to.
the racing was good except the mini wedges. They should not have been there. Took up way to much time and the event most people wanted to see was supposed to be 100 laps and we got 30 some laps and closed shop because of curfew
Leave the lawnmowers.at home when you schedule a special event
Not happy at all for the money. All other classes was great races.
Great place to spend a evening watching sportsmen racing clean & fun.
The staff is always improving the track & stands for safety, comfort, viewing.
Even recently put up a new stasts board so all can see who is in what position.
Keep up the good improving & let the thunder roar.....
Omg the races tonight wpas amazing!!! Most of the staff was great and the cheeseburger I had was pretty darn good. They had deep fried brownies everyone!!!! This is for sure going to be Saturday night date with my honey. Had a great time
They have amazing races because Tom take very.good care of his track, they keep the cars moving right along. I never hear anyone say they are not having fun. Come on out and enjoy the fun with the rest of the racing family... Great Show...
