I would not recommend using hillbilly, automotive and southern truck parts. They will, quote you one price charge you another, tell you to bring your car in to get it serviced, and then yell at you like you are a bad stepchild i was told to bring it in to get it fixed and I was yelled at by the owner because he's backed up. I was told to bring it in to get it fixed, not that they were backed up. Do not recommend using dave hillbilly, worst business ever poor business ethic and shitty work sure, they can put a part on your car, but it's not put on properly.
Got a second quote from these guys and it saved us $1000. I’m so glad we brought our car here. Very professional and great business practices. We will definitely bring our car to these guys again. Definitely recommend!
Me and my took our van in the first time and told him the radiator is leaking so they fix it we get it back and next thing you know the radiator still leaking so we bring it back then the issue gets fixed my wife decides to express herself that the mechanic did something wrong and the mechanic or whatever you call him decides to throw the van keys at my wife. Very disrespectful will never go back again. You don’t disrespect my wife just cause you messed up
They had my car for over a month working on my transmission and a few months later the transmission completely blew out. Everything that they worked on was completely stripped and had to be replaced. They tried overcharging me when I did finally get my car back even though I was quoted a price and they had my car for over a month for two week maximum fix. The communication is horrible, never going back. Save your money
UPDATE On the morning of August 14, 2024, My mother was contacted by Dave England, the owner of Hillbillys, who informed my mother that legal action would be pursued against me for defamation if I did not remove my negative review of the services I received. Mr. England mentioned that in his 26 years of business, he had encountered only one other negative review. It is concerning that such threats are being used to coerce customers into retracting their feedback, especially when feedback, whether positive or negative, is essential for businesses to address concerns and improve their services.
My experience at the establishment was disappointing and left much to be desired. In April, I entrusted my truck for rear brake replacement, which had to be revisited last week for warranty-related concerns. Following their intervention, I was unexpectedly charged $100 for labor, without prior consultation, on top of the initial $380 expenditure. The manner in which the repair was conducted and communicated lacked transparency and customer-centricity.
Furthermore, when issues resurfaced shortly after the subsequent visit, the handling of my concerns was far from satisfactory. The interactions with the owner, Dave, and his son were characterized by a lack of professionalism and courtesy. Despite my efforts to address the recurring problem, my requests for clarification and documentation regarding the work carried out were met with dismissive responses and inadequate explanations.
The confrontational and disrespectful behavior exhibited during my interactions, culminating in being labeled the "worst customer" and encountering uncooperative attitudes, did little to foster a positive customer-service relationship. The lack of accountability and transparency in their dealings, including the failure to provide essential documentation, further underscored the disregard for customer satisfaction and service quality.
In conclusion, the overall experience fell short of expected standards, and the unprofessional conduct observed throughout the process is a cause for concern. My intention to seek reputable and reliable automotive services led to a regrettable encounter, highlighting the importance of transparency, respect, and professionalism in customer interactions within the automotive service industry.
I brought in my vehicle because of an electrical short, and they found the problem the same day and had me back up and running the same day! Way to go!!
I was recommended to Hillbilly’s Automotive through an acquaintance of mine to have my timing change replaced. They had my vehicle fixed within 2 days on a job that takes at least 10 hours to fix. They were extremely friendly and fair to me! I could’ve sat and walked to them for hours as friendly as they were to me. They didn’t give me an unfair price just because I’m a woman or anything of the sort. They were extremely knowledgeable as well as down to earth. They answered all of my questions without rushing me out, as they were extremely busy that day and could’ve easily cut me short, but they didn’t. They finished the job in a very timely manner and the price I paid was BEYOND REASONABLE! I HIGHLY would recommend them to anyone, which I actually have tbh. They’ve done work on two of my vehicles so far and both times, the job was done in an extremely efficient and professional manner. Definitely a 5 star ⭐ shop!

Took my car here was having starting issues they cleaned the spark plugs, next day wouldn't start had it towed back this time they put new spark plugs got home wouldn't start the next day and they said they needed to rebuild my motor which was just outrageous $132 car not fixed
They've fixed our Silverado, Chevy Sonic, made our fire 5ft pit ring, and have fresh farm eggs, too. They've been fast at all services. We are very happy customers of theirs.
Trash. Total lack of character and integrity. Not even licensed! They’ll do cheap fixes to get you coming back until they can take you big time like they did with us. I guess the previous owner was good but his son took over and is very unprofessional, rude and apparently criminal. No social skills. Awkward. Constant chip on his shoulder and a need to make himself sound smarter than you. Another mechanic verified they were at fault for some major issues. Avoid these scammers at all cost and take your vehicle to a LICENSED mechanic.

Haven't needed to bring my vehicle hear now in a couple years. When I'd go here it was great but since my last visit it sounds like the business was taken over by Dave's son who's increased the prices and the customer service is not as good. I still haven't been there recently so I can't say this is exactly true. That's why it still has 5 stars.

put a credit card hold on a truck box. Made an appointment to have installed. Called before I left to make sure they still had it on hold for me then made the 2 hour drive to drop off my truck and when I asked to see the box it was most definitely not the box they sent pictures of. The owners son sold the box out from under me and acted like it was not his problem. I see a lot of good reviews on here and I'm sure the mechanics do a good job but the owners son is dishonest and unprofessional won't spend a dime here ever.
We have worked with Hillbilly automotive several times and they are always awesome! Crystal is so helpful and communicates with us. They really want to get the job done and get you back on the road. It is much appreciated!
My first time having to find a shop to do work on my car. Very reasonable prices and they care about their customers unlike how most mechanics just want as much money as they out of you. They had the lowest prices i could find shopping around and they were willing to work with me to find something I could afford. I will definitely be going back the next time I need work done on my vehicle
I've been going to mr.Dave for all my automotive repair needs for the past 15 years. Not once has he steered me wrong. Simply put, he may be one or four honest mechanics in the entire country. If he can fix it he'll do it, and it won't cost you an arm and a leg. If he can't, he'll guide you in the right direction and make sure you'll get done right. Simply put he's a man of his word, and in today's world that's saying something. I would recommend mr. Dave to anybody who owns anything with wheels and or an engine.
Called the day before to see if he had fender for my truck, he says yes. Call him the next day when I'm a half hour away to make sure he still has it and if he is gonna be open(5:15 on Friday) He answers yes and yes. I get there, he is open but doesn't have the fender he said he had on the phone. He apologizes and I leave not impressed again!!! (Similar situation last year) Done with this place!
We have had our vehicles serviced here for about 7 years now. These guys are fast, do excellent work, and you pay what they have quoted. Honest, dependable.
Owner is always honest and reasonable. Has always done some other "easy fix" items within the price given for fixing things. Nice to find someone who seems to care more about helping people out than the almighty dollar. Has even looked into "used parts" when they can be used safely. Gives estimates. Great work. Will continue to use them with all vehicles we have.
