I’m gonna leave this here so nobody else has to Waste their time money, etc., going to this place from all our computers are down or just no one there … but says open !! Not to mention I think you guys shorted me few times !!
Sooo I load up my car full of scrap to come out on Saturday like it says it's open at 9-1:15. I pull in at 10:15am for them to be closed.. they also pay 1$ or more less then any other scrap yard
Staff is very friendly. They helped me a lot with unloading my trailer. My issue is their $25 copper check limit. I’ve had to fight for my checks and it takes over 2 weeks. If I continue to do business might only be shred.
Been my only place I’ve gone for 20+ yrs. Double checked if open on a Saturday, loaded all up and took the drive and 2 cars in the lot with no one answering door or phone.
Came at 1130 to drop off scrap aluminum after website says they are open till 115 and they were closed. Very inconvenient and unprofessional, update your information!
I had a lot of different varieties of copper and they put it all as #2 copper and I know I had quite a bit of #1 copper I only got $17 from 20 pounds of copper Check was delayed by a few days too I got more money from aluminum wires than copper Even though I had less aluminum I had 50 pounds of aluminum not Wire I think they label it as iron or steel I got almost no money from it
Scrapped a car there 6/1/2024, was told I could leave the catalytic converter on the vehicle and I would be paid separately for it. Called 3 weeks later to ask about my check and was told they don't do things that way and that the car had already been scrapped. I would've gladly removed it myself prior to scrapping the car but leaving it on made things easier. For the value of that converter they have lost my business.
These guys are thieves . Straight thieves . The last few time I went there I was highly dissatisfied with the prices and experience. I figured hey I’ll try them again seeing how there the only o es open . Yet again , nothing has changed . They are straight rip offs .
Prices are ridiculous! Called on phone they said one price. Went down and it was another. Surprise surprise. Both guys were rude and cocky. Word of advise for anyone scraping is to call around. I could have got .61 cents more a lb on #2 copper. I will never be back and I will definitely spread the word to local guys I know. Not a great way to keep customers. Good job!
Guys were cool. Easy and fast but the price is horrible .84 cents a pound for 250kcmil copper I get 2.40 for it at the other places. And 1.25 for machine wire. I get at least 1.50 in wyndotte. Felt ripped off because they didn’t even tell me the price was that low till the end off the transaction.won’t be back with anything of value.
Big Time scam artist if you want nothing for your metal go here if they have the prices of other scrap yards and then we'll tell you that your stuff's not clean enough also expect to spend an hour to do a 5-minute unload I took 1800 lb of pns in and because it wasn't 2 ton they wouldn't give me P&S price they gave me shred price what a joke
They are Under New Management. And they are phenomenal. Customer service like I've never seen at any other metal recycling business. I will continue to bring my business to them.
Needed to have my trailer weighed so I could get it titled. I called a few places most were around $11. I called Carlton Iron & Metal, they were very nice and told me that it would be complimentary and all they ask is that I refer them to others. When I got there the hospitality I received on the phone was mirrored in person. Thanks guys!
Always better to go some where else less hassle. I used to go here all the time I would always get sent away for something that was connected to my scrap "piece of wood etc" other places would take it without question.. never going back ps the customer service couldn't be worse that guy looks and act's like he hates his job and life treating everyone like a pos.... lady's behind the window couldn't be better though always nice and cheerful 5 stars to them.
