Guy working front office was condescending. No guidance on property. Prices wherent worth the hassle. Property was very muddy and filled with tire hazards. 200 dollars in scrap risking 1000 in tires. No thanks. Delivered loads all over the US and this was one of the most ridiculous.
Been waiting since November to have a Car Removed out of my yard it's now January and the car is still sitting in my yard. After numerous calls no luck yet. Maybe I'll just give the car to someone who wants it. Because this business doesn't seem to want cars.
Called for a container in May. Was told it could be Sept before we got one. Called periodically and was told "you're on the list". Husband visited office in early September and was told "by the end of the week". Called weeks later to ask when we could expect a container and was told "I have no idea", and "its not like we just have containers lying around". Refrained from asking why they keep running TV ads bragging about how "we pay YOU to fill OUR containers!". Called Coplans and they delivered a container THREE DAYS LATER. Moral of story: If you want a container don't bother with A & L - call Coplans.
I really prefer A&L. The scrap yard might be messy, but scrapping is a messy business. They are always super nice and helpful at the front desk, with a no BS attitude that is refreshing. The weighers are excellent, motivated and very helpful unloading material.
