Update: Ellis Brothers remains 5 stars! Not only were they able to diagnose and fix the car in less than 24 hours but the price was very fair. I definitely will recommend them! I just took my sister to pick up her car. What nice people! The review saying they're racist did not seem to fit at all. I looked at the pictures posted on that review and got to see for myself. This is an auto shop, not fine dining. I've seen a lot of auto shops and this is clean. Cleaner than most I've ever seen. I think the price was fair and understand small businesses having to charge extra to use a charge card.. just fyi for anyone reading, so you know. I'll be asking my mechanic if it really was a fair price and if not, I'll update the review. If this remains my only review that means 5 stars all the way! Thank you, to everyone at Ellis Brothers. TERRIBLE, RACIST, and RUDE. Nasty owner and nasty employees. SHUT THEM DOWN. Also, very disgusting inside and unsanitary. I would leave a 0 star if I could. Employee told me my car was there and it wasn’t. Once asked to someone higher up she questions me as to why and refused to do so. How can you refuse a CUSTOMER request when you have my car in your custody? The car was not located at the premises and was mad when I stated that she has wrongfully informed me on my whereabouts of my car. I have reported this place to the State. Oh and I was also called a “B” word here. Never cussed at her once and have it all documented and on video. Very unacceptable.

Was just broke down in 10 degree weather last night in detroit and these were the only guys willing to give me a tow all the way home 73 miles away at 11:00. So beyond thankful for a service like this place.

Just want to say what a great experience I had with Ellis Brothers Towing. A special shout out and recommendation to "Brad" our driver. If you are looking for a SUPER NICE AND WELL MANNERED DRIVER TOW GUY THAT KNOWS WHAT PRIFESSIONALISM IS ALL ABOUT, THEN BRAD IS YOUR DUDE. From the first phone call from Ohio late at night, a nice lady answered the phone and was on it. I called from Ohio to buy a dragster race car, lol. On a whim, lol. I called in to confirm early the next morning and everything was a perfect, "GO". Once I reached my loading spot BRAD was there in 12 minutes- nice. BRAD was all about ensuring that the dragster loaded perfectly. Brad drove the rollback slow and steady as to keep the flexing of the car to zero. (We did have inflatables under for support) Unloading was done with precision and care. Once we got it unloaded and off the trailer Brad got a special call from his little daughter. Brad took the call like a father should. It was nice to see a loving and caring daddy talking to his child with compassion and assuring here he will be home soon. I like that. OUR CHILDREN COME FIRST! END OF STORY. Just another snapshot of how Brad's head and his heart are in the right place. IF YOU WANT THE VERY BEST TOWING COMPANY AROUND WITH SUPER STELLAR PEOPLE TO HELP YOU OUT JUST GO WITH ELLIS BROS. I never met these folks before my initial call, I'm from a half a day's drive away but I hope to again real soon. Very good encounters with the people who work here! Sue is very nice and informative. Helped me get both of my tows in a convenient timing. Curt is an honest and outgoing person who loves what he does. It’s a breath of fresh air to interact with kind people. Tow prices are reasonable, hopefully my repair cost will be the same!

I am SO thankful for this company and their great staff. Last night, I got a flat in the left lane of I75 N just south of 9 Mile during rush hour. The flat was on the side of traffic. After another company "no call no showed" and others wouldn't take the job, they showed up in 20 minutes and had me back on the road in 5. The service member was so friendly and helpful. I will ALWAYS utilize them.

Had a Friend of mine over, she had a issue with her car over heating and was not able to use it. Called my father and was told this was the most honest mechanic shop in town. For my father to say that meant allot. Called and asked how much to change the thermostat. Was quoted a price that was pretty fair. When my friend went in she filled out the paperwork and again spoke to the lady at the counter explaining the issue and again what make and model the vehicle was. Was given the same price as over the phone and was told it would be ready the next day. She received a call the following day and was told not only would it be 200 dollars more but that they would need another day to complete the repair.stated that they were not told it was a hybrid. Funny thing is, I told her, my friend told her, and my friends son in-law told her. Say you didn't know because I have my conversation recorded. Darn shame that a place that is supposed to be sooo honest took advantage of my friend and blamed their mistake in her. Ya all should stick to your price and not up it that much and blame others. Update Sorry it is late, we all learned something that day. This too notch shop took care of it and for the agreed. They were very apologetic and I feel bad about the review and jumped the gun. I take my vehicle here since and will from now on. Thanks guys
