I wouldn’t recommend this company to anyone for one they were dishonest and the lady over the phone lied and said they picked up my vehicle and hours later I go back just to check and my vehicle is still in the same spot I left it in 7 hours later and to top it off I get a ticket!! Because they were not being truthful or professional !!

It took an hour l abd half longer. Than we were told . So I waited almost 3 hours. Luckily I was in a safe place and my heat worked in my van. Or I would have froze to death.
Tow truck driver filled my completely flat to the ground tire with 44 lbs of air, told me the tire didn't have a leak and it was just from the cold weather. Beware of morons.
I want to give Kevin,from Ellis Brothers Towing, 10 stars. . He came to give our car a jump, but, to our amazement, the car started right up. He was very informative and kind. He deserves a huge raise. I would recommend them to everyone.

Last night, my daughter accidentally locked her keys in her car while working a double shift. She was exhausted and stressed, but thankfully she crossed paths with a kind gentleman named Travis from Ellis Bros Towing.
Travis went above and beyond his duty — instead of just waiting for the tow next time, he tried everything he could to help her, even attempting to reprogram the keypad on her Ford so she wouldn’t have to wait. That level of care and compassion for a stranger speaks volumes.
It’s not every day you meet someone who genuinely cares about helping others. Thank you, Travis, for showing such kindness and going the extra mile — you truly made a difference!
Completely unprofessional experience. Ellis Brothers Towing claimed “someone called” for a tow, yet when I arrived, their driver Pete had just pulled up. I called Sue, who first said her boss got a call—then changed it to a text. The story kept shifting. To make it worse, I was quoted $295, then suddenly it became $275, cash only. The lack of transparency and shady communication says everything. I wouldn’t trust them with a bicycle, let alone a car.
So my car was dead. Doornail dead. Running on the original car battery probably had something to do with that. Ellis Brothers came out promptly. With great technical skill and some pure pushing, the tech maneuvered my non-moving dead car on to the truck bed and delivered it to my mechanic. Very professional and impressive. Will use Ellis Brothers again - recommend highly.
I highly recommend Ellis Brothers Towing for great service. The driver was fast, friendly and professional. If I ever need a tow again, they'll be the first ones I call.
Outstanding Service from Isaac Ramsey – Truck #14
I had an absolutely top-notch experience with my tow driver, Isaac Ramsey, in Truck #14. From the moment he arrived, he was professional, courteous, and incredibly efficient. He showed up ahead of schedule and immediately assessed the situation with confidence and a calm demeanor that put me at ease.
Isaac handled my vehicle with expert care, making sure everything was secured properly and safely before hitting the road. What impressed me most was how knowledgeable he was not just about towing, but about cars in general. He even gave me a quick tip on what might be wrong with my engine before I got to the shop, and he was spot on.
His truck was clean and well-maintained, and you could tell he takes pride in his work. It’s rare to come across someone so dedicated and respectful in a stressful moment. Isaac turned a frustrating breakdown into a smooth, even pleasant, experience.

I had a great experience with Ellis Brothers. Was stranded after work when my 79 Vette died. The driver was awesome. Very professional and friendly. Absolutely highly recommended in my book!
The gentleman that serviced me wasn’t very friendly and very condescending. He watched me struggle to get to my spare then finally looked a said it’s under your car…but isn’t it your job to get it and put it on. Then he suggested that I tip him. I had no problem tipping but it’s not moral when you ask especially when you have an attitude for having to do your job! I didn’t choose your job but it was a perfect example of choose something you love or fake it til you make it. Customer service was definitely a 0/10!
Quick response, reasonably priced, and a very helpful, careful, courteous driver. I wish I could recall his name but he did tell me he had only been working there less than 2 months. A definite asset!
Customer Service was excellent , id recommend Ellis brothers to everyone …. & id call them if I need my car towed again. Ps. I needed a ride to the shop where my car was being towed and Travis ( employee ) made my ride very comfortable…. Very pleasant and clean vehicle.
On 4/4/25 I was broke down on northbound Vandyke near 8 Mile. I had contacted friends to assist and was waiting for them when your driver Travis was southbound and saw me with the hood up. He turned around and asked if he could assist. I said for sure. He contacted his office and they quoted me a price of $100 to take me up to M59 and Mound to a shop I use for repairs. I thought this was very fair. I would like to say how much I appreciate Travis and the team at Ellis Brothers for taking good care of me and getting me off the side of the road and out of the neighborhood I was broke down in. I would definitely recommend your company to anyone and certainly call you all again if I need assistance. Much appreciated.
Update: Ellis Brothers remains 5 stars! Not only were they able to diagnose and fix the car in less than 24 hours but the price was very fair. I definitely will recommend them!
I just took my sister to pick up her car. What nice people! The review saying they're racist did not seem to fit at all. I looked at the pictures posted on that review and got to see for myself. This is an auto shop, not fine dining. I've seen a lot of auto shops and this is clean. Cleaner than most I've ever seen. I think the price was fair and understand small businesses having to charge extra to use a charge card.. just fyi for anyone reading, so you know. I'll be asking my mechanic if it really was a fair price and if not, I'll update the review. If this remains my only review that means 5 stars all the way! Thank you, to everyone at Ellis Brothers. You will be recommended by us!
Just want to say what a great experience I had with Ellis Brothers Towing. A special shout out and recommendation to "Brad" our driver. If you are looking for a SUPER NICE AND WELL MANNERED DRIVER TOW GUY THAT KNOWS WHAT PRIFESSIONALISM IS ALL ABOUT, THEN BRAD IS YOUR DUDE.
From the first phone call from Ohio late at night, a nice lady answered the phone and was on it. I called from Ohio to buy a dragster race car, lol. On a whim, lol. I called in to confirm early the next morning and everything was a perfect, "GO". Once I reached my loading spot BRAD was there in 12 minutes- nice. BRAD was all about ensuring that the dragster loaded perfectly. Brad drove the rollback slow and steady as to keep the flexing of the car to zero. (We did have inflatables under for support) Unloading was done with precision and care. Once we got it unloaded and off the trailer Brad got a special call from his little daughter. Brad took the call like a father should. It was nice to see a loving and caring daddy talking to his child with compassion and assuring here he will be home soon. I like that. OUR CHILDREN COME FIRST! END OF STORY. Just another snapshot of how Brad's head and his heart are in the right place. IF YOU WANT THE VERY BEST TOWING COMPANY AROUND WITH SUPER STELLAR PEOPLE TO HELP YOU OUT JUST GO WITH ELLIS BROS. I never met these folks before my initial call, I'm from a half a day's drive away but I hope to again real soon. Wondering experience! Fast, and affordable! Night Halk lol was amazing, I had a lock on my tire he couldn’t get it off so he went back to the shop and came back to cut it off in the rain thank you guys so much
