Jake worked with me to create a rain garden behind my garage for driveway runoff. He also added drain tile and regraded and seeded the yard north of my home. Everything was done as explained and cleanup was thorough. He has finesse with the Bobcat grader. I enjoy his energy and will ask him to bid on my driveway replacement.

Jake used a great deal of imagination to design a one-of-a-kind paver retaining wall and walkway in front of our lake house that have elicited numerous compliments. He also built a retaining wall against a storage shed at the back of the property that transformed eight feet of useless sloped earth into functional land for planting and additional seating for viewing of a beautiful field behind the shed. Jake plans effectively, competitively prices the project, and works hard to complete the job to perfection. Hire him for your next project. My home front concrete entryway is 11 ft wide X 7 steps with an 88 sq ft top landing. It's rather HUGE! The steps were replaced approx 15 years ago. The contractor used the wrong concrete mix for steps so they began crumbling... they resembled Baghdad City Hall after 6 cluster bombs, (see pics). I had 3 companies quote on repairs. Two contractors only offered complete tear-out and replacement which was cost prohibitive. However, Jacob Slick, owner of ReScape, also offered the alternative to REPAIR the steps rather than replace them for a substantial cost savings (>$11K)! Jacob and his crew ground-out the degraded concrete and used a special formulation with superior adhesion while using internal anchors to assure secure repaired sections. ReScape paid extra attention to details like grinding the step edge radii the exact same on all steps. Since the repaired section colors inevitably would not match the original concrete, Jacob coated the entire stairway and sidewalk with a light grey polyaspardic material that looks like new concrete with uniform color. Jacob then sprayed some small black and white "flecks" which REALLY gave the finish more depth and pizzazz! We had favorable weather, so a few days later, ReScape returned and applied 2 coats of some (nuclear) invisible sealer that dried in about 2 days. I am quite finicky about my house and property. I must admit I AM ECSTATIC with the outcome of this project. I literally went from "downtown Baghdad" to the "Stairway to Heaven" and my house looks beautiful again! I LOVE IT!!! =) I highly recommend ReScape!

ReScape came out and gave me a free estimate on how to correct a problem I was having with a sump pump discharge that was hurting my yard: Jake explained what he would do to correct it and gave me a fair price, I decided to go with him after talking with several people. He came out when he said he would and worked on it and corrected it within a few hours, he had to do what I call a plumbing problem on the outside of the house with means making sure you have the correct parts to connect everything properly, I am happy with the results and I believe it is going to work great, when he was finished he cleaned up the area and it was like no one was ever there, I was very happy, if you use him I believe you will be happy with the results.

ReScape did an amazing job with our water management problem. First of all, the owner was extremely professional and understanding at the initial consult and offered a free estimate. I was overwhelmed with the issue we had and he made the problem seem very simple and made it go away in just two days after almost 10 years of having problems and trying to fix it ourselves! We had washout problems in our driveway due to neighboring grade exchange. They installed over 200 feet of French drain with perforated drain tile to absorb and manage the water down the drive and hillside. They went the extra mile by adding beautiful flowers and plants in the rain water reservoir at the base. I can’t wait for the next big rainfall! These people do it all! Give them a shot, you won’t be disappointed.

Jake was fair in his pricing, on time and efficient. The work required a high degree of artistry as the pictures show. Trying to simulate blue stone is not an easy task but in a short amount of time he transformed dull and lackluster concrete into something that make the area pop. Had them install privacy fence and split rail fence they did a great job and did it all with in a day! I highly recommend them!

Jacob and his team completely transformed my overgrown, uninspired backyard into a beautiful, cohesive space that brings me such joy. He cleaned, prepped and mulched all my garden beds, created a bordered perennial/vegetable garden complete with raised beds, and refreshed my fire pit area with river rock. I have worked with other landscapers in the past but Jacob is the most dependable and hard-working by far. He never cut any corners, was super fair in his pricing, and was great about communicating if weather interrupted the schedule. I cannot recommend him highly enough and will absolutely use him again in the future.

Jake Slick of ReScape did an professional job at my Ann Arbor home. He scraped 4 inches of grass and sod from my backyard, hauled it away and filled with new topsoil. He leveled it and graded it properly away from the house and finished with grass seed and straw. I am very pleased with his work - he showed up when he said he would and finished the job in 2 days. I'm looking forward to a backyard without ankle twisting holes! Highly recommend.

I had the pleasure of meeting Mr Jacob slick at the Detroit Training Center where he not only excelled as a student but show great leadership ability not only in the classroom but also in the field. I was very impressed with his Excavating skills as I witnessed him finish one of the top in the class he was both efficient and fast with safety being his main priority.

Mr. Slick was at the Detroit Training Center taking classes with me. He was attentive and always on time. Mr. Slick asked good questions and answered just as many. During our time together I knew he would be the type of business owner I would like to work for. At this time I have no need for his services but would recommend him to friends and family based on his friendly demeanor, attention to detail, and work ethic I observed during our classes together.
