THE place for trains. Tons of stuff reasonably priced. It's a small shop, run by the owner, so don't be in a hurry. But it is well worth the trip from anywhere.

There where trains in this hobby store I have never seen before or since, the selection beats most train shows.

Great place for all things trains! Lots of HO/OO and O-Scale trains, track, pre-made buildings, model buildings to assemble, awide selection of high quality, used trains and model railroad parts, design tools and accessories for the beginner hobbyist or the experienced home engineer. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Great pricing with an amazing selection. They buy used trains also (call first). Other scale trains and accessories are available as well. If you don't see what you're looking for, just ask!

Amazing customer service, great prices, walked out of there with a great little train set for just over 20$, and a huge variety of anything that you would want as a model train enthusiast. would 100% reccomend

Great variety, lots of hard to find out-of-production merchandise, great employees who are so helpful and knowledgeable!! The vast majority of products is used and/or second hand, but don't let that deter you, there are so many great deals to be had!! From locomotives and rolling stock, unique subject matter and road names, to track, figures, vehicles, landscaping and structures and fittings and detailing parts, hand tools, adhesives, etc. I love to support local businesses, and I love to actually see and inspect the merchandise as opposed to shopping via the internet, and I don't have to wait for it to be shipped to me or contend with porch pirates!! My dollars go alot further here, the prices are great!! I spent about $70, but I estimate it would have been at least twice that amount had I shopped elsewhere!

This is a great store that has an ever-changing inventory of scale trains for the hobbyist. Jerry (owner) and the staff are very friendly and helpful with your needs. I visit frequently to find parts and various items for my HO scale hobby. Best store on this side of the state!

This store holds a lot of inventory. It is mostly older/used item and it is a little more of a treasure hunt. Friendly and attentive staff. Just a lot to go through.

This is one of those gem model train stores that you just have to stop and visit. They have a great selection of older kits, plus plenty of new stuff too. Purchased some Kato Unitrack and a set of Rock Island Hoppers. I know that I will be back as will many of my friends.

A very unique train store that is worth a stop by for any model railroader! Every time I visit I spend over an hour in there. Great selection, you are guaranteed to find some special treasure. Staff are very helpful! Also, unlike most of the model railroading hobby, the prices are very affordable!

As soon as I walked through the door, there was a display case full of more N scale than the typical shop has. Then I walked further in and saw some on the wall, 2 more cases and a large quantity of organizers behind the counter. This alone rates 2 stars. I walked around and saw track, wiring, scenery, supplies, tools and on and on. There's another star. The guys behind the counter were friendly and helpful. That's another one. The last star is for what makes this place unique, it's almost all second hand so the prices are real good. If they hadn't told me the locomotives were used, I would have assumed they were new based on their condition, but the prices were quite affordable. They had a fair selection of HO as well. Some O and I even saw a little G scale kicking around. Great place. Will make the 2 hour drive to visit again.

I love this store!! This place is awesome. The owners are soooo friendly and helpful. They really have a lot of cool train stuff. What they may not have today they might have tomorrow and if neither, they can see if something is on its way. I bought some stuff today and I encourage model railroaders to stop by asap.

Great little store that has everything you need for model trains. They carry all the major gauges, but have an impressive collection of N-gauge. Friendly, helpful staff and fantastic prices. Great selection of new old stock as a bonus.

Hey! If you are interested in trains, G scale like me this the place to go. The prices are great very helpful people. They have new and old trains all size scale. I will go back to shop there again.

For anyone interested in trains and setups, this is the place to go, pretty much all preowned and a few newer thing, it's got just about anything you would need. It's now my new addiction to stop in and add something to layout. Great people that work there, and very reasonable pricing.

Plenty of old and some new stock. Looking for that old model train magazine? Check here. He might even have that. Focus seems to be primarily HO and N with some O. Can't say if he carries other scales/gauges or not, as I didn't have a lot of time to browse. Very impressed with the shop. Stock and prices are good enough for me to make the 30 mile drive again!

This place is a gem. It's like an old time hardware store where you catch up with the boys even before you begin looking at what's new. Because they deal in new and used items you never know what will be in stock, so it's worth checking regularly. Prices are very reasonable on used items, and the fact that they sell 'bits and pieces' of kits makes finding a missing or broken part a real possibility. A great complimentary store to the extensive tools and new items available at Rider's Hobby.
