most predatory towing company in town,
waiting an hour plus to release a vehicle that’s already been paid for is outrageous and should be illegalFeb 08, 2026 -
If I could give them zero stars I would text me 12 mins away I call 2 hours out I wait that still two hours out terrible with transparency

Dillon came my parents' house at three in the morning and pulled my dad's jeep out of the ditch. He drove it up the dive way for me so I didn't have to walk all the way up the driveway , and he even brought our garbage cans up to the house. McDonald's Towing has old school values and customer service.

Absolutely awful business!! I would give 0 stars if it was an option. Vehicle was totaled in an accident and police had McDonald’s tow the vehicle and was placed in their lot on Mosel. Wouldn’t allow us to get into the vehicle(called 4 times and McDonald’s employee hung up on me each time)so insurance company had vehicle towed elsewhere. Insurance company has picture of vehicle leaving the Mosel lot without the license plate! We did not remove it!! When we got into the vehicle elsewhere the registration and proof of insurance( glove box was pryed open as it was unable to be opened after the accident)along with some other items were missing. Someone also took up all the floor matts and placed them on the backseat along with placing two small blankets in a garbage bag.The theft obviously occurred at the McDonald’s Mosel lot although they deny it as they “don’t do that”. Don’t ever let them touch your vehicle!! If it needs towed make sure it is not them or any tow company associated with them. This isn’t my family’s first bad experience with this awful company- more like the third.

When to get car myself and 2 other clients we all sign and/or paid to go get our cars. Set to there holding lot get here and theres noone hear. Called to ask where someone is to open lot was told 20-30 mins before someone can get here. asked about tomorrow was told would have to through same process tomorrow and pay for another day. I was last to leave the first office and not one of us was told there noone at second lot so now 3 of us oops wait a 4th person just pulled in and not someone from company. so 4 of us waiting in cold be 22 mins as if now waiting. WHY WOULD YOU SEND CLIENTS TO GET THEIR CARS IF NOONE THERE TO LET US(4 NOW) IN TO GET OUR CARS!!!!

.my front tire fell off, i had a tow co. On the way to get it, after 2 days, tow co
Had problems. When we got to my truck, it was gone. I receive no phone call.i found out who stoled my truck.I just lost my job, and told them, I can't afford the ransom and I'm not abandon my truck.i called 4 times, telling them my status. Now I'm at $3000, in FINES.
I did nothing wrong. My tire is still off, so when I get my truck, it has to be towed.
They are stealing my truck. I had a problem, this company made it worse. If I can't pay the ransom,my truck will be sold.
They won't help you, no payments, cash only. That's what you get for having problems.
I can't fix my truck, get to work, take care of my family, or get my items. Why didn't I get a call? They call it a service, how many vehicles get stolen, from this place, every year?
I'm 64, a vet, and have to give up my truck?
Just because I had a bad day. Mc Donald's will not work with meNov 24, 2025 -
It would be cheaper, safer and more efficient to push your own car than to ever use this “tow” company. Nothing but awful reviews, incompetent dispatch, and a “Manager” (Terry)who threatens costumers and lies to save his own skin. They damaged my car and refuse to pay unless I take it to his recommended shop. If a tow company can’t properly tow, I don’t trust any of their recommendations. Speaking to community members and others who unfortunately dealt with this company all agree. They suck and are awful. Graham’s towing is better and cheaper. $400 for tow for less than a mile is insane not to mention the other amount of money they charge when they purposely tow the car to their lot. Flintstone your car to avoid this scummy company and advise those who have been victim to them to report them to the BBB and urge your Community council members to stop giving them contacts.

Dispatcher unwilling to help or answer a question.he Hung up on me when i asked to talk to someone who may know. Saturday 10/18/25 12:31pm
*edit* KALAMAZOO TOWING & RECOVERY was my next call... that dispatcher was very helpful. She placed me on a brief hold to ask her driver or boss. Question answered and i am able to help another trucker get his truck workingOct 18, 2025 -
Huge shout out to Bruce and Travis for all their help! My boyfriend was in a gnarly accident and we were running into some roadblocks getting the car off the lot and released to insurance. Thankfully Bruce told me what to do and to get in touch with Travis, who then gave me the info I needed immediately! Extremely thankful for these two helping us out and making a horrible day a lot better. Thank you two again, you truly are the best!

Absolutely the WORST Tow Company EVER! Charges are outlandish. Tow company called by police after an accident that was not at fault. Charge to tow from The Lawrence Dollar Store to their place (less than one mile) $400! Cash only to pick it up and a two day charge of $60 even though it was only in their possession less than 24 hours. Not to mention the man in Lawrence was perfectly fine with me writing a bad review because he didn't care if it meant it was less work for him to have to do if no one used them!

The workers are so mean! The phone people!! I mean they phone ppl!!!! The lady and that bald man behind the desk! He yelled at me 3 times!! I hate them I’ll never use them!! They are OVERLY expensive and just overall rude!!

How my key fob wouldn't open the trunk when I put my purse was 'right there' I may never know. But it was hot and I had melting ice cream inside! I went inside the grocery store and got connected with McDonald's towing. He arrived within 15 minutes, had my car unlocked quickly and professionally. He couldn't have been nicer! The whole process left me with a much more positive of towing companies. Thank you guys! Money is tight right now and you delivered a very valuable service with zero judgement! :)

I had an appointment for 8A . I needed to have my Ford 150 4x towed on a flatbed to the garage. I prefer to have it done after hours, less traffic easier to navigate tight streets...but, it also means the driver has to hook it up in the dark.
I would like to thank Mike M. You were not only professional, but very methodic and very competent.
You have excellent driving skills. Again, thank you M MillerJul 03, 2025 -
Two stars doesn’t come from them being a tow company. Our car got wrecked and totaled. We went to the location. They told us the nice told us to go to another location across the city to get paperwork to come all the way back to the other side of the city to give them the paperwork when they could literally Let you sign paper saying an employee can go into the glove box and grab your paperwork out instead I had to take two different days off of work for a couple hours to get this done
They should at least be able to give his information over the phoneJun 06, 2025 -
Thank you to McDonalds Towing service. It was super late at night and they were great. Anthony our our driver was amazing and a great personality. Even waited for me to come from Galesburg to Portage where my car was. Very prompt and very efficient. Again thank you. He inspired my little nephew to become a tow truck driver. He was very fascinated in how he did things. Again I would highly respect. Thank you McDonalds toeing and driver Anthiny for a very nice and excellent experience

So! Last Monday I called my insurance company to have roadside grab my car and drop it at my mechanics. McDonald’s showed up and grabbed my truck and delivered it to my mechanics.
Usual procedure (not my first rodeo) is that the driver drops the car and leaves the keys through the key drop and goes about there night.
I get a call early morning from my mechanic asking if my door handle was broke off. I reply “no.” They proceed to tell me that the McDonalds driver left, then a separate driver from McDonalds towing came back tried to get in and broke the door handle then Jerry rigged the passenger door open and got inside. It was to grab a pair of gloves, and I get it! Stuff happens, so I get that! But…that’s not where things get fun!
So my mechanic calls McDonalds and spoke with a guy named “Terry” who is in some sort of managerial role.I told Terry I don’t want anyone fired I just want my truck fixed and I trust my mechanic to do so! Terry even told my mechanic that he would make things right! Then, Terry claimed he was not going to have my mechanic help or cover the expense of getting it fixed. Terry has an awful attitude and is so UNWILLING to help anyone. He insisted he fix the door (at his shop) which I was not willing to do!
If he breaks something else he would not be willing to work with me. He ended up dropping the door handle off and NOT paying my mechanic to fix it. Terry has a terrible attitude and that is the word around town is that Terry and Craig McDonald are awful to work with! I MEAN COME ON! After your guy broke into my truck and damaged it! Like JEEZ!
Also after the reading the comments I’m glad I didn’t drop it off and get hit with tons of storage fees and forced to pay those too!
Also reading these other reviews it’s makes me understand why McDonalds has 800 Google reviews at 2.7 stars.Feb 25, 2025 -
I would have given zero stars if possible. I am extremely shocked by their customer service. I had to wait there for 5 hours to wait for my friend to come pick me up. They made me stand for 5 long hours and didn’t provide me any seat to sit. I was standing right in front of them for 5 hours and they didnt gave a shit. Thats ridiculous. That’s not humanity. It was a hell being here

STAY AWAY FROM USING THIS PLACE!! They towed our semi trailer with the brakes locked and they got so hot they caught fire & the tow guy said he didn't do anything wrong!
Then they tried to hold our truck & trailer hostage by taking it to their yard when they were already closed and it was a friday so it would be stuck all weekend and get storage fees. We didn't end up getting stuck like that because we had a business associate in towing that called his buddy at Trues Towing, a professional company McDonald's could only strive to be like, and he got us out if the McDonald's Towing debacle we were in.
They did charge us over $4,000.00 for a few miles tow. We are talking with Michigan State Towing Assoc and Michigan State Police about McDonald's & that the police need to stop forcing McDonald's Towing on the public if they breakdown in this area. WORST TOWING PLACE I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH IN MY 25 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE IN TRANSPORTATION!Jan 17, 2025 -
Vehicle was towed by this company - by choice of the State Police - after a recent wreak. They towed directly to their impound lot, which is about 20 min from their main office. Storage fee is $30/day so disposition your vehicle asap or the charges will add up fast. The office lady was professional enough. My only real complaint was having to sit and wait (nearly an hour) at the impound lot for someone to show up and let us remove our valuables from the vehicle.

If I could, I would give them zero star.I recently had an horrible experience with McDonald's Towing. The staff’s behavior was not only unprofessional, but also remarkably rude and disrespectful. Instead of addressing my concerns with courtesy and respect, I was met with dismissive attitudes and a lack of basic customer service skills. They also told me they would take AAA at my accident, then when I called they said they don’t do AAA. This company does not values its customers at all. I hope they take this feedback seriously instead of being in an holiday parade.

I recently had an extremely disappointing experience with McDonald's Towing. The staff’s behavior was not only unprofessional but also remarkably rude. Instead of addressing my concerns with courtesy and respect, I was met with dismissive attitudes and a lack of basic customer service skills. This experience was frustrating and disheartening, and it has left me questioning whether this company values its customers at all. I hope they take this feedback seriously and work on improving their staff's conduct to avoid similar negative experiences for future clients.

McDonald's was great. I had a flat on 94, couldn't get it off. Bruce came to the rescue. He got my spare on, gave me a hotel recommendation (I wasn't making it back to WI on the donut), and even get me set up with a shop to replace the tire in the AM.
I really appreciate you being there!Sep 06, 2024 -
I had a geat experience with flat bed driver Buck transporting a used forklift I purchased in Kalamazoo. He was thorough and had great people skills. The price was very reasonable as I shopped around two other companies locally. This job was done on a holiday weekend as well. Which worked great for my schedule. I appreciate the help!!

It’s a little ridiculous how expensive it is to get your car back from them, especially considering I’m getting it back from it being stolen so it’s through no fault of my own. I am also not a fan of the fact that the yard where cars are kept is 20 minutes from the office.
However, I will say the ladies I dealt with in person at the office and as well as on the phone were very kind and helpful, and the two different men who helped me get to my car in the tow yard were very friendly as well. One of them even helped me tape up my broken window.Jul 27, 2024 -
They do not communicate properly. You can only enter your wrecked vehicle 1 for free time. Anytime after that is $25 per visit. This should be communicated in the paperwork that people sign. It shouldn't be told over the phone after the fact. I asked the rep for a 1 time Courtesy waiver of the $25 fee, because it was not explained by the previous rep. She said, No. I asked to speak to the MGR. No one was available. I explained the circumstances. Still a NO. Why these companies don't use compassion is beyond me. "Who wants to enter a wrecked vehicle to remove their family items?" People get hurt or die from car accidents. GREEDY over money, use our human being side more.

Customer service isn't a thing here. My wife vehicle was stolen and we had to go there to get it. We've never dealt with type of stuff before so we didn't know what all we needed to get our belongings out of our van. Well we waited a half hour just to be told we need registration or the title. We had neither but she failed to tell us that when we got there. I live 45 minutes away. And the people behind the glass we arguing. Real professional

Bruce did a great job of helping me move my old, immobile car from my garage to the repair shop. He was careful, professional, and friendly, and I was very pleased with both him and the entire McDonalds towing team.

Dude on the phone acted like an absolute D-bag when requested to have an illegally parked car removed from my house’s backyard. He kept speaking over me, interrupted me multiple times, and overall came off standoff-ish. We have multiples of their signs in our backyard area claiming we are allowed to call this number to have vehicles removed. We really don’t enjoy having partially intoxicated people parking at our house. After being met with hostility, I ended up calling the police and they actually did something about it. What’s the point of posting signs when you don’t give 2 effs about your job. Thank you for being extremely belittling while doing absolutely nothing. Will never rely on you again.
