This was my project car. A 1988 Chrysler Conquest, with approximately 62,000 miles on the car. I wanted to restore it to new condition. It was neglected in a field, mice had eaten my wires. However I was told to by another shop in Jackson, that Ultimate Auto was the one to go to. Well I had it towed to Ultimate Auto. I said I wanted the fluids changed in engine, transmission, radiator, and old gas drained from tank. Plus I of course wanted the engine to start. Well after nearly 4 months of excuses, me needing to call on the progress weekly. They supposedly changed my fuel pump, pressure regulator, some gas lines. Not one drop of fluid was ever changed, not even the engine oil. This was verified by a certified mechanic in Lansing. Also someone crossed two lines in my throttle body. They partially fixed my wiring for starter to work. But this car still doesn’t start, because when I went to pick it up, a mechanic was just starting to replace the diaphragm in throttlebody. I was there with a tow truck to move it to Lansing, because after 4 months I had enough excuses. So I was told my bill was $3500.00 dollars, and my car wouldn’t start. So while I’m waiting to tow car, I’m told I need to pay another $500.00 for some service they forgot to bill. The tow truck driver couldn’t move my car unless the bill was paid. So I paid the bill and left Jackson. I gave them 1 star, I would give a zero, but it doesn’t exist. My project is on hold, due to lack of incentive. Maybe I got the wrong service representative, but Ultimate it isn’t. Have you ever had your car in any shop for 4 months? Maybe if they had to order a new engine, and transmission in Germany or Japan. Kind reminds me of Irish Travelers. So Beware!
The owner even called me after this review, claiming it was unfair to his employee’s, then offered me $200 dollars to pull the review. Well some employee should’ve told me they couldn’t fix my car, in the first week, charged me a reasonable shop fee. I would’ve paid the fee, and towed it away.

Staff was very friendly and Jeff gave me a free rental car for over a week while my car was being repaired that alone would have costed me a lot of money that I don't have. I was very very grateful and impressed and will continue to go back in the future.
This experience was like a breath of fresh air. I have intermittently taken my 2017 Jeep Cherokee to get checked because the check engine light was on and the remote start will not function until it is resolved. I’ve paid for several “fixes” only to have the light come back on within a day. Scheduling a time to be dropped off and be without a car is difficult. Ultimate Auto allowed me to schedule on the website and request a loaner car. This process was seamless even though I had to trade cars after hours. All of the paperwork was easily completed online. They did a thorough diagnosis of my car and found it needed a catalytic converter. They came up with an estimate for the replacement as well as doing other required maintenance ( tune up small oil leak repair). We scheduled the repair and I was again seamlessly set up with loaner car for free. The communication was fantastic. They stuck to the time line as well as price agreement. Very friendly and professional.
This place is absolutely amazing. My transmission went out the weekend before my child’s wedding which took place 9 hours away. They gave me a loaner car, was able to fix my car while I was gone, kept me informed, and the staff are wonderful. I definitely will recommend them to other people.
Their machanics do great work. They are fast in service and very friendly staff. Prices are very fair. We will continue to use Ultimate Auto as our go to shop.

The folks here are immensly knowledgeable about repairs and will give extensive details as to what needs to be fixed. They also give a recommended timeline "to do" list when they see small changes that generally lead to major issues.
Pricing has always been most reasonable in comparison to other autoshops. People are friendly and a pleasufe to do business with. Carly and Jeff are awesome! Highly recommend!
The team at Ultimate Auto always takes very good care of me. I have a Kia and it take special parts sometimes, but they either order them ahead of time or go get them. They are great!
Very decent sale on oil changes right now. 39 dollars for full synthetic. Very high pricing for auto work though. Ill be back for oil changes. Took about an hour from arriving to pulling out.

Went in for alignment, went perfect drives awesome. Also let me know what needs to be done on the back end and showed me what was the problem. Even changed out my serpentine belt last minute when I asked if they could. Would very much recommend, this is my usual spot for anything I need done now.
Ultimate Auto has been wonderful! they keep my 13 year old car running well and were more than willing to answer questions when we were purchasing a newer vehicle.
Took my vehicle in for an alignment after replacing the upper control arms myself. After they pulled my vehicle in and found everything to be within the acceptable parameters, they charged me less than what I was quoted due to them not having to perform any further work. Finding a shop these days, that has integrity, can sometimes be a challenge. I think I found the one I’ll be taking my vehicles to from here on out.
The team out here, and Jasmine specifically, are lovely people! I used them for the first time and parked in the wrong spot and they didn’t even mention it. Super kind and understanding crew. I’ll definitely be returning!
Got a spring savings inspection of all belts, hoses, fluid top off, etc.. and ended up with a blown headlight bulb because someone put their oily fingers on it. Told them what happened and they offered to fix it for $400… when I had just spent $700 the week prior for their “inspection” Not worth my time or money.. not great at attention to details in their service from what I can see. I thought they would be professionals, but I could’ve done a better job myself… they offered to order new bulbs but for about $100.. my headlights alone where XID xenon bulbs from The RetroFitSource, which cost way more than that. Seriously do not recommend at all. Seems like they cause more problems to gain more business and money. oil was also all over my the engine oil cap. SMH
This establishment is filled with Scam artists went to ultimate auto 4 times. The 1st time I went for my a/c and it took them 3 visits to fix yes I had to come back 2 times to get the a/c fixed
Then I went again my car wouldn't move they told me that I need a transmission and they tried charge me 7 grand I went to another shop it was not my transmission and the fixed it and it only cost me 450 dollars yup they were trying to over charge me by 6500 dollars think of that before you go here
I was told by a previous mechanic that I probably needed a front wheel bearing after bringing to ultimate car repair, it was only a brake plate rubbing on my rotor. First time there I was treated with dignity and respect I had them put a harmonic balancer for a great price in a timely matter among a few other things very fair price. My new all time repair shop
I just love this place. If Karlys not there to take care of you, someone else is.Thay don't just change your oil, they have a big inspection list that they follow. Very comfortable waiting room, coffee fresh ground i belive .

I really appreciate that they took the time to go over the issues that they found & answer questions that I had. Not only do they tell you the issues, but they take pictures and show you the damages they found. Overall, good experience great customer service very kind and very quick. I got my brake lines done on my car. They happen to notice the fuel lines needed to be exchanged as well and explain to me the reason why and it felt reasonable and proper. The price was fair. They got thevwork done nice and ever since I got my car back runs way better very good spot to recommend taking your car here.
Very Disappointed – Be Cautious with Ultimate Auto Repair in Jackson, MI
I’m extremely unhappy with the service I received from Ultimate Auto Repair in Jackson, MI. I brought my SUV in for repairs, and the whole experience was frustrating from start to finish.
First of all, they kept my vehicle for an entire month, which is way too long for the type of repairs that were supposed to be done. During that time, communication was very poor. I had to constantly reach out just to get updates, and I was often left in the dark about what was going on with my car.
They also made me feel pressured into approving repairs that I wasn’t fully sure about. While my warranty covered some (or most) of the cost, it still felt like I was being pushed to spend more money than necessary. It didn’t feel like they were working in my best interest—more like they were trying to get as much money out of the situation as possible.
When I finally got my SUV back after a month, I immediately noticed that a personal item I always keep in the car was missing. I know for a fact it was there when I dropped it off. It’s incredibly disappointing to feel like you can’t even trust the place you’re paying a lot of money to. I spent a lot—a lot—on this repair, and to be treated like this just doesn’t feel fair.
I usually try to give businesses the benefit of the doubt, but this experience left a really bad taste in my mouth. I can’t recommend this shop to anyone, and I suggest looking elsewhere if you want honest, timely, and respectful service.
Best price on an oil change for miles! I come back from Belleville for the affordability. Staff is friendly. Haven't had any other work done here yet, quotes were a bit to high for other work but oil change price is unbeatable!
My brother in law had some work done here, they sold him shocks and struts, brakes and tires.
Returned the car and 300 miles later he asked me to look at the car for a wobble he was feeling.
I inspected the car, found all 4 wheels had been left loose
And one of them was so.loose it had broken off studs and messed up the wheel it's self.
He called, informed ultimate of the problem, they paid to have it towed back to them, they replaced a few studs and lug nuts on the broken wheel but ignored the oval lug holes in the aluminum wheel. Over the phone they told my brother in law it was safe and ready to go
Then called him back an hour later stating his brake pedal was low and he should have them check it out, he informed them they needed to check it out because they had just done brakes on it. A day goes by and they call him tell him his care is safe and all set no charge.
He then asks me to look it over because he dosmt have a good feeling over the whole ordeal.
I found that wheel to be unsafe and was about to fall off the car because the lug holes were oval.
I had to call and talk with the manager who swore up and down the wheel didn't look like that when it left and he would have never let it leave unsafe.

They let this customer leave with unsafe work and knew about it.
I had to have a long conversation with the manager before he would replace the wheel.
Took them over 2 weeks to get a replacement wheel.
I would not recommend this place to anyone.
Had to basicly beg them to fix this car after they messed it up. And let the customer leave 2 seperate times with unsafe repairs
I have been in the automotive business for over 13 years and have never seen such shady work.

This is an example of how a mechanic shop should be! Very friendly, walked you through the inspection, told you what was needed, and what would be needed later. I was there for the unbeatable oil change special they offered, and I was not disappointed!

Amazing, is the only word to describe my experience here. They went above and beyond my expectations. They took me out and showed me the undercarriage of my car, showed me what was wrong with it and what I needed to do to fix it. They offered me ride to where I needed to be then came back and picked me up. They gave me a written estimate and even offered financing, thank God!
The people are very friendly, trustworthy and honest. No hidden cost, no run around and no problems.
Basically a very pleasant surprise to find this Gem of place. I definitely will be a returning client.
