Bought some parts from O'Reilly for the front end of my car. One of the parts was a special delivery in the boot was damaged on it. A person I talked to is a female that said that is under warranty and I explained to them that I have the part on my car I would have to take and get the part and then swap them out of my car and I can bring the old part back. I was told not a problem it's under warranty. So I asked if I needed to have money to buy the part and then get it back and they said no it's under warranty. I get to the store oh it's not how it works. I decided that I was going to end doordash across America and check out all the cool things like the Grand canyon and stuff so I'm trying to fix my car and I live in it. I don't have anybody that can drop me off I was needing someone to help. The manager at tawas is a liar as far as I'm concerned I have no respect for them and debating whether I'll ever go to an O'Reilly's ever again. The whole reason why I went in the first place was because it's Dundee Michigan there was a guy in there named Adam and he really helped me out a lot. actually the whole crew in Dundee was very awesome all the time. My experience in tawas says it's not about helping people it's about money. I don't like corporations I like people that help because that's what families do and that's what people need in America people want America to be great again clearly that's not the case for O'Reilly's in tawas manager.
We made it home!! Thank you so so so much for the help, and letting me wrench on my junk in the parking lot. Sorry about the mess, I hope it wasn't too much trouble. Best auto parts store around! 10/10
I got stranded in the parking lot of this orileys at midnight when my fuel pump went out while I was getting food next door, this orileys staff opened the doors a little early for me the next morning so I could warm up and get some parts and were very kind and helpful through this whole unfortunate situation, they even allowed me to fix my vehicle in the parking lot and made sure i was safe multiple times. Well done!! This is how an auto parts store should operate!!
I like it when parts fit the first time , an not making the trip back to Tawas which is not just a few miles down the road either with the cost of gas now a days .
Always loved Riley's they are super friendly and patient and usually can get any part you need. They get the job done practically for you . Lol not really but really and usually change wipers and help diagnose your vehicle on occasion if you catch em in the right mood even if they are slam 0ackwd and best of all they are always there when u need them during business hours I prefer them to any company who is in their line of werk so thanks O'Riley's I love ya and your great work
Had an issue with heater fan, associate checked manual, went in behind glove box fixed connector, and left with a working fan for minimal cost. Very happy.
I had a check engine light on and it was Saturday at 3pm . They checked the code and let me know it was no big immediate deal and i could drive until I am able to get it repaired.
Depends on the person assisting. Needed a starter, was going to sell me a brand new one with the moisture valves broke off. Did not have another brand new one so was forced to buy a remanufactured one, 2 weeks after installing the solenoid went out. Took it in for lifetime garuntee replacement and wanted the new one and was still charged. Not mad about the charge but the bad parts, auto zone got a new customer.
We had a catastrophic braking issue during our trip to Tawas Point State park. The sales associate was able to help me find the correct brake line that failed on my Ford F43 chassis RV. He provided helpful suggestions which really helped my confidence for performing the repair. I was able to perform the repair in their side parking lot without any issues. They were open late on Friday which also helped. They were able to turn a potential major nightmare into a calm and easy repair.
never gives you the right parts the first time and act like close enough is better than not having the part in stock. no matter how many time you say what you need

Big thanks to Jason at the Tawas store. He really went above and beyond in order to get us going again. From running across the parking lot to help my wife push the car uphill into a parking space (I was driving at the time and the car was still holding it's forward progress but running too rough too make it up the hill). To loaning us a belt tool, pulling like six or seven different alternators trying to match it up (car had an engine transplant). To getting us jump started and on our way. He really went above and beyond! I haven't really been an O'Reilly's customer before this, but they will definitely be getting a lot more of my business from now on!
Nice to have this store here. I am a "car guy" buying windshield wipers. They really did add value in telling me what they liked and why and just helped. It was nice and I appreciated it!
Most of the guys over the yrs have been a great help but recently I purchased some parts that I ordered and paid for and it came up to almost 300 bucks for the 2 parts. Then I found online that I could get brand new a set of two for 60 dollars so I went back to go stop the parts and get the money back on my card and the female manager with short blond hair was extremely rude. (Her name is on my receipt) She should understand that I would want to save over 200 dollars and she didn't make eye contact once and was very short with her words to me and my 11 yr old son. She seemed like she hated her job and needs to be taught a thing or two about customer service and how you deal with customers because I wasn't even disgruntled but I seemed to be wasting her time... I'm sure I will be back, but I will wait for another person to wait on me. And when an 11 yr old lil boy tells you to have a good day, you say it back...
Very nice manager named Kate. Very helpful and knows a lot about cars - even a 30 year old Cadillac like mine. And when eventually she determined that she did not have the parts that were needed, she recommended someone who did.
