We’ve now worked with Greaves twice. I don’t know why we haven’t before October 2025! The first time we went there it was because my husband’s exhaust pipe was hanging. We were right down the road when it happened. We called and they told us to come in. We were shocked when they got us right in. We were further shocked when they said they could fix the issue right then!
The second time was within a few weeks, after my husband schmucked a deer. We took it in for an estimate. Carl was so great to work with! The truck was repaired in the time we were told it would be, and came back to us cleaner than it’s been in five years!
It’s not often a person is happy when dealing with car repairs. But we are definitely happy with Greaves body shop and service center! Greaves is our new place to go for anything truck related!
I've had my car repaired here several times over the past six months for unrelated issues. Each time, I dealt with Edward in the mechanical repair end of the business, and he consistently worked to get my car onto the schedule at this busy shop as quickly as possible.
Edward always explained clearly what needed to be done and was happy to show me the replaced components. Even more impressively, he advised me on what DIDN'T need repair or replacement. A dishonest person could've easily exploited this situation.
On one occasion, I had to use an unrelated repair shop several hours away. That morning, I left a message for Edward asking for guidance. He promptly called back, spoke with me and with the other shop sharing his knowledge of my car. He even called me again at the end of what turned out to be a long day for all of us just to make sure I got back on the road.
Everyone I've met at Greaves has been friendly and customer-focused, but Edward stands out, not only for his technical skill, but because he genuinely cares about his customers. He earned this five-star review for Greaves Body Shop & Towing Inc.
Car broke down Saturday night, first night of our honeymoon. Called 3 different places on Monday, Edward here at greaves was the 3rd. He said they would be able to look at it and fix it faster than all the other places, at reasonable pricing. And Edward is a veteran. Got my car back the next day. Very thankful for this team. Thank you for keeping our honeymoon going!
Had every single vehicle I've ever owned worked on by greaves and I won't go to anyone else, Carl and his team are very knowledgeable. He knows what he's doing and he'll give you a proper diagnosis even on things that you didn't know You needed fixed and he will give you a great price
Our van suffered from a severe rear axle failure, while in lower MI on it's way to the UP. It was towed to the Greaves shop, and the riders made their way back to the UP.
Edward at Greaves was profesional and went out of his way to accommodate me when it was time to pick the van up. He met me about 20 mins from the shop, to help accommatade my schedule. The repair to the van is TOP NOTCH !!! The rear axle had a humming sound since purchased over 10 years ago, but is now dead silent !!!

Called about a front end allingment for my truck that I just payed another shop to complete the work,I didn't make it far before I knew I had problems,these guys got me right in fixed all problems fast and curtious.give them a try . And cheaper the other shop.

Greaves did an amazing job with my Envoy! Everyone there was very friendly and willing to help. The mechanics took my vehicle for a test drive to give me their thoughts on my issues. Their office ladies were very friendly and answered all my questions with a smile on their face. Even Carl went over and above to take care of my needs. Everyone needs an honest and helpful mechanic like Greaves!! Highly recommend!!
I was driving on Tobacco Road in Clare when I rounded a corner there was a branch hanging off of the tree that was unavoidable. This caused damage to my truck. Windshield and the tailgate area. I brought my truck in to Greaves and I was thoroughly impressed with the professionalism of each of their employees and the service is top notch.I gave Carl Greaves the owner A list of repairs and upgrades the team knocked it out flawlessly.

We lost the keys to my Mom’s KIA Soul & Carl Greaves saved the day! The car was stuck in a side entry garage, with the steering wheel locked. Carl figured a way to push it out, spin it around & get it on the flatbed. He was kind, patient & really did a great job when faced with a difficult situation. Thanks for a job well done.
I got in touch with Carl to put a front seat in my truck. While waiting for my seat I bought a light bar and a new starting wheel. My seat came in and I got my truck in and they took care of all my needs without a doubt.

My husband and I take all of our vehicles here for everything from tires and four wheel alignments to motor swaps and everything. The lady at the front counter is really nice and Carl Greaves the owner, is very reasonable. They don't rip you off or rig stuff together like the actual Chevrolet dealership here in gladwin (Richardson's). I swear it seems like eno matter what it is to fix... It's less than 75 bucks.
One of the very few places in this town that care about you and your vehicle, always great service, great prices, and friendly people. I would recommend the greaves family to anyone they care.
I take all 5 of my cars here for repairs. Carl and Brandi are super nice and the rest of the staff I have had engagement with are super polite and are very knowledgeable in what they do. I trust their recommendations and advice even with my kids' cars.
Gladwin's Best auto repair facility in my opinion, I have been to several, ripped off by one, and incomplete service from another.
Brandi and Carl are superior people to worth with!! My Jeep was involved with a deer and did not end well for either party. I called Brandi and she hooked me up with a loaner vehicle and even brought it to me, in Mount Pleasant!! Highly recommend Greaves Body Shop to anyone!
The workers are very professional and talk to you before doing the work to show you what is wrong. They want to make sure you know what they are doing. The entire staff is friendly and helpful. I will take my car to them for everything from now on.
All I can say is thank you 1st class people right here! From the Office manager to the Owner thank you guys! The owner took the time after hours to tow my camper to its final destination and took his time making sure things were right. Sure do appreciate all your help!
