I chose Advance Auto Parts in Eaton Rapids today because their price was a little cheaper than O'Reilly Auto Parts. Unfortunately, the experience made me wish I had just gone to O’Reilly’s. I walked in with a toddler who kept trying to run off, and I was clearly struggling while trying to find the correct blinker bulb. I was even saying out loud which one I needed. The employees at the counter shouted the bulb number I should be looking for from across the store because I had grabbed the wrong one—but they never once stopped playing games on their phones at the counter to actually come help. There was no one else in the store. I spent what felt like forever in the aisle trying to manage my toddler and figure out the right bulb on my own. Not once did anyone come over to assist. Customer service matters, especially when someone clearly needs help. Unfortunately, this experience was stressful enough that I won’t be returning.

I went here tonight with a 2001 S10 to have it scanned so I could see what code it was throwing. The new girl couldn’t get the OBD reader to work then told me I didn’t have a check engine light on. I showed her the light and she said “sir that’s a service engine soon light. You forgot to reset the oil life on your truck when the oil was changed” I laughed so hard. Also, when we first came out she asked if it was “push to start” ? I went to the O’Reillys down the road and got my reading and bought my spark plugs from them. What a joke!!

My hubby was out of town, so I stopped by the store for a windshield wiper. It was snowy and cold outside, but he happily came out to see what I needed—and then put them on! I’m super pleased with the service I received and will definitely be back.

The store itself is not the problem, the problem is attitudes of employees being more sarcastic than being helpful. As another time I had a bad experience there as well. I also dont like the fact they brought in this store, when our town has 2-3 other local small businesses owners and having this nationally branded company added does nothing but undermine the hard working small businesses owners who also sell automotive parts and service. Store is clean and parking lot has plenty of space for parking with handicap parking up front.

I stopped in to your store to get some new wiper blades with my bf. I'm from out of town. The lady working yelled from across the store what kind of car did we have after we asked if there was a book. He asked her to give us just a minute... she asked us again immediately, so he just went ahead and told her what kind of car i drove. While we were looking at what would suit my vehicle, she kept trying to insist to me that i get another brand that she had found the next isle over (that was double the cost) He kept trying to explain to her i was from Alabama and didn't need the all weather wipers, but she wouldn't take the time to listen, so we just got the wipers he already had in his hands and left after checking out. I love an attentive employee but it was borderline overbearing

3 out of 3 tines going to this location I had my online orders screwed up by your workers. 3 out of 3 times the openly admit to it. No discount of any sort. Incredibly poor quality from the staff. The confusion they apply to themselves makes it uncomfortable going to this location anymore, leaning toward another messed up order. 3 out of 3 times is insane. Get better.

I went to go check to see why my engine light was on. The guy didn’t seem impressed what I had, It was my first time getting an engine light check, I don’t know this stuff. He eventually told me what was going on. I don’t wanna return to the store if the employee is gonna be a jerk.

Owner of Eaton Rapids store said she would take my old batteries that I had accumulated over time but would not give me anything for lawn & garden batteries, even though they sell L&G batteries. Look, I know she was screwing on those batteries and I didn't really care, just happy to get rid of them. In fact I told her to keep her store credit on all 4 of the batteries, I figure she needs that money more than I do ??. Just remember miss "Owner" your doing business in a small town... Word gets around. If that's your ok doing business like then good luck to ya?

The guy at the register was not a people person. I will say he told me he doesn't usually work at that store. He had difficulty installing the wiper blade for me, and after leaving the store, I realized he didn't put it on correctly. I had to drive in the rain with a blade that was worse than the one I thought I had replaced. There was no rubber on it. Just plastic. He told me he wouldn't have helped at all if the weather wasn't nice outside. That is part of the reason that I go to those stores. They are supposed to be customer oriented.

I am not one to ever leave reviews, but this store has made me waste so much time and gas and left me stranded for days more then once. This last time they were supposed to get me in a caliper, i didn't make it in for a couple weeks, so i decided to call ahead and make sure they still had it. The lady i spoke to said "yup, we have it when your ready". So i tore the caliper off my wife's van and took it in. After a few moments of looking for it, the comment was "well, i guess we don't have it, we can have one tomorrow". There was never even an attempt to say they were sorry. This not only will waste my entire day off from having to drive my wife to all the places she needs to go, but also waste a ton of gas. I will probably be just making the drive to another town from now on. If you use this place, call ahead, and make sure they physically find the part before you make the drive into town.

Always friendly and helpful. I once bought windshield wipers there and I had a broken arm. The person working asked me if I would like him to put them on for me.

I don't generally use the big chain stores but if I must go I think it's probably the store I would like to go to. They almost always have the parts I'm looking for. Very knowledgeable about the vehicle's so you can be sure that you get what you need.

Have what you need, most of the time however still hire people that are a bit too centered around the beliefs that a woman must have been sent by a man. Get over yourselves not all of us paint our nails to impress you.

Advanced Auto is so accommodating. They generally have everything that I need. If not, they also offer to special order an item or offer advise for an alternative. Advanced Auto is definitely an asset for the community.

Had dead battery. Was able to jump battery and get car running. Drove car to local advance auto part store . Battery was purchased and installed with no issues. Serviceman was courteous, prompt and knowledgable.

Nice having decent parts place in eaton rapids. Always hated car quest (they always seemed to treat you like an idiot). I have noticed that some of the employees at night might be more qualified for McDonald's than selling car parts but I'm still happy that advance is an option now!

I've been here three separate times since they have opened. Each time it has been an extreme disappointment. The most recent time I went I saw that they had Gunk Products on sale 2/$6. However when I went to check out they charged me $3 for one can and $4 for the other can. After I told the cashier this he looked at the receipt and pointed out that it said 2/$6 on the first one however it didn't say it on the second can. At this time I was fed up with waiting considering I had been there for going on ten minutes while 2 employees tended to one customer instead of cashing out my order that I ended up just paying the extra dollar. Overall the lack of employee experience and knowledge makes this place a horrible place to shop, that and about everything is over-priced. Better off going somewhere else. Update: I called about a belt that I needed to replace on a car that I was working on. They asked if I wanted them to hold the belt for me and I told them no that I would be there in a few minutes. When I got there I told them that I just called about a belt after a few minutes of looking up the part again on the computer they told me they didn't have the belt. So they asked me if I wanted them to hold a part that they actually didn't even have. By far the worst parts store I have ever had the displeasure of going to.
