I never thought that I would write a review of a used auto parts store . We contacted Pat about a part I needed . What a good experience . The part was waiting , the staff was friendly , and offered to put the part in the truck . The place was clean and from the little we could see , it was organized . Sent me a damaged part that they clearly labeled. Wanted me to pay shipping back lol. Ended up just taking some credit because they’re smart they’ll credit you what shipping costs so there’s no point of sending it back. Unmotivated sales people and honestly quite honestly. Take your business elsewhere they don’t care as they said “you don’t need to buy from us again” as if I had a attitude not my fault you guys want to sell parts you know are damaged. THEY ONLY TAKE ZELLE OR WIRE TRANSFER!! So that’s how you know you’re about to get cooked when they got reviews like this. Bought from them years ago but I guess things changed.

Won’t ship oversize parts despite customer paying for shipping. No reason why other than they don’t want to. Blamed rates but rates shouldn’t matter if I’m paying for freight. Asked for a reason and they said they don’t do business with fed ex but wouldn’t ship via UPS or other carriers. Stated they don’t do shipping with USPS. Disappointing to say the least.
Great place to buy, Pat was very helpfull and took extra time to make sure the items were as described and that the process went smoothly. Would definitely purchase from him again.

What a breath of fresh air to work with Pat ate August Pohl. Amazing customer service. We wired the money for a motor, job fell through, no questions asked, check was mailed to us. Integrity on that level and not trying to pinch a few pennies out of a bad deal was surprising and much appreciated.

On the first call, I was met with a rude, unprofessional tone from Ulises, who clearly had no interest in helping. No greeting, no courtesy, and absolutely no willingness to assist — just attitude from the start.
I gave them two more chances. I called again — and Ulises hung up on me. Tried one last time — he hung up again.
If this is how they treat potential customers, I can’t imagine how bad it must be once they’ve taken your money. Avoid this place at all costs. It’s not just bad service — it’s blatant disrespect and completely unacceptable.
This place is a joke, I can’t even call them sales people more like order takers. if these people had some effort they would probably quadruple in sales. Trying to spend 3-4K and everyone is turning me down with simple questions. If you randomly land on Danny you will be stuck as his customer so do your self a favor hang up and hope someone else gives you a quote. So now I have to wait when Danny someday comes to work and feels like answering some simple questions.
I am from Tampa, and drove all the way to Berrien to purchase some parts which were difficult to source. The customer representative, Pat, was most helpful in assisting me. I was very impressed with the quality of service I received from him and would highly recommend August Pohl.
Those guys rock! Ulises was so pleasant and helpful to this old lady I can’t say enough! In a world full of so much negativity this young man was a breath of fresh air and I want to thank him for this, and tell him not to change because kindness means everything when working with the public! Way to go guys!!

Positive doesn't begin to describe my experience with the staff at August Pohl. My initial impression was very strong after talking with Pat at Ext. 19. He went out of his way to find the part that I needed, and had it ready to go for me when I arrived. There were some quite unique circumstances today with the Tornado warnings, but Pat figured out a way to make it happen for me. Their pricing is very competitive, and the service you'll receive is top notch. There's no reason to go anywhere else.
