Scam and rip-off operation. My vehicle was towed there after an accident, and they charged several fees for services they never actually provided. When I called to dispute the extra charges, the phone operator said the manager wasn’t available and would return the next day. I called the next day, and she then claimed he wouldn’t be back for another four days and that it would be cheaper for me to just pay the bogus fees than wait for him.
She also told me over the phone that I could pay by card, but when I arrived in person they suddenly claimed there was a $250 credit card fee. Completely dishonest and unprofessional.
They were kind and professional over the phone and the tow driver was also courteous and friendly. They handled our truck with care despite it being old. Recommended 100%!
Bill towed my car last night for me (had a broken control arm which resulted in a broken coilover, so it was unable to roll on its own) and was very friendly and professional. He took great care of my car, and was careful to move it without causing any additional damage. He unloaded it exactly where I wanted it. A+ service. I would highly recommend them to anyone.
Very poor service. We just had a flat & needed the spare installed. We went through AAA and they get a poor rating as well. It took almost 3 hours for them to arrive with very little communication (& incorrect ETA multiple times!). Then, the driver took off with our keys (!) & it took 2 hours to get them back!

Yesterday we broke down on I-94 and were able to make it to the 9th St. exit. Our insurance set us up with J's Towing out of Plainwell, MI who sent their driver Bill. With the first call from Bill to confirm our information, we knew we were in good hands. Bill arrived about 30 minutes later, got us and our car loaded up and on the road to our house. Bill was very polite and pleasant and we will definitely refer him and J's Towing.
After an hour of waiting by the side of the road they called back to say they weren't coming. So its at least another hour for a different company to come. Meanwhile, I am blocking 1 1/2 lanes of traffic with a front passenger tire broken off.
Called to get a jump start on my car told me it would be about $60 and guy would arrive in 20 min, 30 min went by and no one showed up gave them a call asking for an eta they said they had never dispatched a truck also now wanted to charge me more then double $152 for the same service what a joke! Do not recommend!! McDonald’s towing helped me out for a way better price ??
J's Towing helped me with a tow. Had a good experience with Bill. He was knowledgeable about the part on my car that broke down and was cool to get along with. I would give J's Towing more stars if I could due to the experience and service they provided. Thanks J's!
I recently needed a tow from downtown Kalamazoo, and my experience with AAA was less than satisfactory. That said, when they sent J's Towing to me, they did a home run. From getting the call to starting my tow took just 12-15 minutes, their driver was knowledgeable and friendly, and they took my truck directly home in record time through Kalamazoo's horrific street repairs. Thanks!
Currently have one of their trucks completely blocking traffic on my street with no driver to be seen & no car even hooked up. If they need your car the entire street gets held captive apparently.
J’s towing dropped a customer’s vehicle at my shop and slammed it into my building, after multiple phone calls they promised they would be out to fix it that Monday. that was over a month ago, all other towing services that have ever dropped off have managed not to hit the building. apparently these guys cannot
Just had Zack help me out while I was stranded/broken down in a Pizza Hut parking lot, super cool guy and he shares very helpful advice and will answer any of your questions while multitasking and getting the job done! Thanks for your professionalism, Zack! Not to mention I parked in a difficult spot for him to reach and he still got the job done?
It was such a relief to have Zach tow my exotic car. He showed up sooner than expected and took every precaution to make sure my car was safe and handled properly. He even completed the task well after hours, which was important to us because we were in an unknown area with my elderly parents. Shout out to the dispatcher as
well. She made sense out of a stressful and confusing situation.

Got into an accident on 131 and Zack was there in no time. He got our car hooked up and took it back to their lot for our insurance to take care of. Funnily enough, the emergency services called another tow service for the vehicles involved and Zack showed up before the other guys! Highly recommend their service!

I can't say enough about how good the customer service is a J's. Kiana was the single-most helpful dispatcher I've ever had the pleasure of dealing with. I'd called AAA around 5:30 PM with a dead car and a DIFFERENT tow company dropped the ball. When I called AAA back hours later, I asked for anyone but "that" tow company and they gave me to J's.
J's took care of everything quickly and did so with a cheerful attitude. I hope I don't need a town again any time soon, but if I do, I'm going to ask for them by name.
I'd use them again over lightning recovery good tow truck driver thank you guys I appreciate the help even if i had to waight 15 half hrs everyone was busy they night I understand cause of the weather thank you so much
We were traveling and had issues with our tire. I called our road side assistance and they sent lightning towing, the driver was very rude and I sent him away. So I took it upon myself to call J's and Jon was there within 20 min. Jon was very friendly and very helpful. Jon even went out of his way and went above and beyond to get us back on the road.

Destroyed my car . Whole front end ruined. From body damage to tire rods being ripped to suspension being ruined. Thanks guys Not sure how they are working with AAA
I am thoroughly disappointed with J’s towing services. I am not one to complain, and this will by my first ever complaint about any kind of customer service. My fiancé and I have been waiting 4 hours for a simple lockout service to be completed through J’s towing. J’s Towing was contacted four times through AAA to complete the lockout and they cancelled all four times without contacting us so we were waiting with no clue that they had cancelled. On one of the attempts they HAD called saying that they were two minutes away and then they never showed up - we called back three times to see where they were at and they declined the call on the first ring each time with zero attempt to call us back. If they had been lost they should have called us to confirm where we were and they did not even attempt. We are currently still stranded. Do not use J’s towing if you are in need of actual service.
One of their drivers in a company truck, unnecessarily honked at a car to go when they clearly couldn’t, then proceeded to almost back into me. Then went 80mph down a city road, all while towing a car. I wrote an email as well, but figured I would make a public review, because i’m not the only one who’s seen this either apparently. Makes me wonder if it’s the same driver from the previous review.
I have been without my car for 3 weeks so far because of thier tow driver damaging my car while putting it on the flat bed- 1500$ worth of damage on top of the ball joint that was the original issue- and a quick fix. When I call to get it handled they hang up on me and try to tell me it's resolved! I was told by my agent they denied damages- my car looks like it was in a wreck when it wasnt! I haven't seen results yet - being rude when you have an issue to resolve isn't good business! I already posted a Google review at that time they had 352 reviews- now only 10! I also posted picture of the results ! The cop that was there for the first 30mins I waited I'm sure could vouch as much as my pics- sorry he had a fire call and couldn't be my hero, more important business. my wheel was still straight and my car had dead stopped when it broke The owner can't speak with me- how about you take responsibility for your incompetent worker and accept your mistake so we can all move on on life! Pretty simple? I shouldnt be punished for being a customer!
Was just in Hyundai dealership in Kalamazoo and a driver from this company was dropping off a car and was extremely rude to the employees and all the other customers in the service area. He used language that does not belong in a business by someone who is working himself. No idea how the company is and will never learn because this driver left a pit in my stomach he was so horrible.
Absolutely the worst driver in the world - in a company truck going 85-90 mph on the highway, not letting people onto the highway, did not use a single turn signal, and cut me off multiple times on a small stretch of 131. I don’t know about everyone else but I would never trust a driver like that with my vehicle on the backend. Extremely unprofessional and dangerous - do not recommend if you couldn’t tell already.
Holy moly J's towing came to the rescue. My car stopped working after I picked up my kiddos from school. Called AAA and J's towing came to help. I had a minor panic attach not knowing what to do and the driver (we'll call him T) calmed me down and helped me out. Such a nice gentleman. Above and beyond the job!
