What clients say about Country Club Sooper in Upton Township (MA)
Asked for no peppers & onions on a sandwich and they said they can do that - but when I got home the sandwich was loaded with peppers & onions. Why say you can when you don't.
The absolute worst chicken I have attempted to eat in a long time. I purchased 2 chicken parmesan for lunch and my buddie and I couldn't even eat them. We tosseed the chicken in the trash and ate the bread which was good. It was like rubber. I'll stick with the fresh deli meat subs because those are always excellent. I've even purchased your uncooked breaded cutlets on multiple occasions with no issues. Was the chicken bad? I tried two bites and spit it out
Get a large sandwich they are so good even if you want to stop you can’t an Arnold palmer iced tea goes so well with the sandwich would recommend 10000000 times
Watch out. They are charging an illegal 3% fee for any purchases made with a credit card. It is not legal in Massachusetts to charge a fee for using a credit card. It is legal to offer a discount for cash but what they are doing is sneaky and illegal. They have it on a small post it at the register so it's not obvious at first
I drive by this place all the time and never think to stop. Well my brother went in yesterday and raved about the place so we ended up grabbing a couple of subs from there last night and it's like a hidden gem right in town and close by as well. I will definitely be going back soon to try out the other sandwiches ? they have. Be sure to check the cooler sections as well for pasta salads and such.
I recently discovered this place, it is a combo takeout deli and hot sandwich place and little convenience store. They have beer and wine too. Everyone is super friendly and feels like youre in a little town in Maine or in an Adam Sandler movie. Large subs are under $12 and are stuffed. Great place, you won't be disappointed.
Ordered catering for a memorial service. Everything from the ease of ordering and price to the food quality was just great. The seafood salad sub was delicious! It was wonderful not to have to worry about food on such a difficult day.
Stopped in to grab a couple sandwiches on my way through from Maine . I got a small pastrami on a bulkie and it was at least an inch thick. My friend got a large roast beef on a sub roll and that was just as thick. The breads were really fresh.
Finally was able to make the trek to Country Club Sooper. Ended up getting the chicken club sandwich which was really good and tasty. I'm glad I finally came, I'll have to try some of their other specials.
Not a fan… moved to Upton 3 years ago and stopped in a few times… tried pizza here and they use onion in the sauce, not for me. Another time came in 15 minutes before closing and couldn’t order at the deli because they were taking slicers down and most recently got sub rolls there that had mold starting to grow on a couple I didn’t notice at store. Always up to give somewhere a few tries but that’s it for me
The girl making our sandwiches yesterday was just miserable. She legit seemed annoyed taking our orders and I should have known to check our orders before we left. I asked for light Mayo and my sandwich was smothered and soggy. So disappointed.
Just discovered Country Club Sooper recently and I love the daily specials!
They post them on the Facebook every morning. Such an awesome way to try something new. Each special sandwich comes with chips & a pickle. Great prices too.
They also have a good selection of butcher shop meats and various ingredients. Fantastic one-stop-shop to get stuff to prepare for dinner.
Came here for the first time the other night 30 minutes before close with my family and we ordered grinders. they were out of a lot but that’s expected at the end of the night. The grinders were huge and they freshly sliced the meat in front of us. The staff there was super friendly and I’ll definitely go again.
A great deli with a store in it as well. The deli has flavorful sandwiches that can provide you a nice hearty meal at a reasonable price. Their prepared meats are also loaded with flavor, and the items in their deli case are appealing. They also have a unique higher-end meat that comes loaded with flavor.
The store itself has your basic convenience store items as well as supporting some local products such as honey and seasonings.
There's also a new gourmet product on the shelves: Brozzian's Mac & Cheese. Well worth a try.
The staff are nice and get to know you if you come frequently, adding to the homey atmosphere that the store already gives off. A great place to stop for lunch while on the road. Parking can be a bit tricky, but there is space on the street.
Delicious deli sandwiches, tasty looking premade food and a good selection of local beer in the fridge! Be sure to check out Rushford and Sons around the corner!
Always stop in when I'm up in Massachusetts working in the area. The food is very good and they have more than fair pricing. The daily specials are always pretty good. Definitely worth a try if you are in the area looking for lunch.
This is a local business and their sandwiches are very good. My husband and I like to pick up sandwiches from here when we don’t want to cook ?. Makes our lives easier. Here is a photo from the outside of the place.
Love this place!! Hidden gem in our little town! Porketta for 2020 Christmas dinner this year as it's just the 2 of us... Sandwiches are out of this world; don't go to the chain places... Awesome meats!!!!! Friendly staff!
I've only lived in old Upton for about 9 years since I moved here from Thailand and the country sooper is one of the best places Upton has to offer. Really is a gem. The staff is always so nice and the snacks/candy they have there is awesome and their selection of ice cream is fantastic!
They have the best subs Ever, There Hamburg is so good and less fat than any supermarket can offer..all so they offer other meats as chicken etc and the best marinated meats...Prices r very reasonable!
Was told to stop at the Country Club Sooper to pick up a few sandwiched. This is a very clean local variety store and deli combination.
The atmosphere is very family orientated business with excellent staff. They have a large variety of different meats to choose from for purchase or make a sandwich. Their sandwiches are very generous servings for all to enjoy.
The reason for the 4 stars instead of 5 stars is only because I think it would of been nice to see a menu of their most popular subs or sandwiches available versus saying look at our meats and tell us what you want. A full menu would of made it easier for me.
Other than that I think this was a very clean and friendly family business that I would go to again.
The BEST catering for any party around! For my kids’ grad party we got the large tray of stuffed shells with red sauce, vegetarian stuffed mushrooms, and cold pasta salad - there were NO leftovers!!! It was Sooooo Gooood!!!!

The Sooper is great. Subs are the best around and made with freshly sliced cold cuts. Their daily lunch sandwiches are out of this world. Go here for freshly ground Hamburg and juicy steaks.
I just discovered this favorite local jewel recently! I'm addicted to their tuna wrap, Country Sooper chicken (chicken stuffed with cheese, pepperoni, and capicola) and Housemade pickles! I've tried a few of their soups and love them. I can't wait to try the porketta and veggie cracker stuffed chicken! Everything looks so yummy, and it's all super fresh. You can smell the goodness as soon as you park. Amazing!!
Always the best meals, deli items, huge subs and great lunch items. The prime rib sandwich is fantastic. I try to buy a lot of my steaks here. Quality is unmatched.
