Needed a tow when I blew two tires on the city’s crappy roads. These guys were quick professional and the price was also affordable.

Shitty people running the place over there they like to inspect vehicles of there own with inspection violations but other cars don’t pass with the same things I will be in touch with the registry to have them looked into for doing fraudulent inspection stickers time stamp and dates on the virs of the vehicles inspected with violations

Unprofessional and rude. Car was towed by police for expired registration. Was told it would be 185 over the phone. Brought in that much money, and the manager told us that it would actually be 215. He said he could do 185 but that we wouldnt be able to get a receipt. Called my dad to talk to him, he immediately shut him down, told him it was 215, and hung up before he could answer. He then handed the phone back and left us there without saying anything further. We were later told that for every day the car was there we would be charged 35 dollars. Paid the rest of the money in quarters and left. Would not recommend.

TJ’s has worked on my daughter’s car in the past, and been most understanding and willing to work with us. Prices are fair and detailed about how to make it cost efficient if you’re tight on money. My daughters recently been in an accident, and TJ and Sons has been the most supportive and informative about next steps I can take or needed to take, making the impact of her injuries less strenuous knowing her car is taken care of. Thank you TJ’s!!

I called to schedule an appointment to look at my brakes because there is a squealing sound coming from the rear brakes. I've replaced the the calipers pads and parking brake shoes and yet the noise still persists. The guy said they don't to work on it because I previously worked on it. So it's my problem. No kidding. I just don't have any time to spare due to work and health issues. Otherwise, I would have done it myself. I'm just looking for help and is willing to pay for the problem to be solved and fix. But they only want to take jobs that are easy and don't want be held liable. Great work T.J. Sons. You really lower the bar on industry standards and service.

I’m so disappointed after a visit to TJs today. I went to get an inspection and the technician brought my car out of the bay and left my driver window open while it was raining. Then as I was pulling out of the lot my check engine light came on and a notice about my ABS and the trac being turned off - I turned around and went right back. The technician then rudely dismissed me told me it was a coincidence and didn’t even care to check it out. I will no longer use this company their customer service is terrible - even the woman at the desk was surprised I was dismissed but did nothing to help me or my situation.

Rude, unhelpful, and expensive. If you need a tow, or something else done with your car then avoid this place like the plague, and go to one of the multiple other places in Gardner that offer the same services.

Not about there services but your tow truck driver need to slow down on back roads in Gardner around 8 o’clock Sunday night guy was probably doing about 50 an almost hit me wouldn’t have bothered me so much if I was by myself but my daughter was in the car

Just rude, slow, expensive. Wasn't even there for myself and got treated like such a perfect. Vulgar too

I waited in the inspection line for about an hour finally my turn my car goes inside 40 mins later I’m still waiting so I say something the guy comes out and says we are having problems with the computer! Well nice of u to let me know…….i said I have to go to work so he went and got my car. I said so t u think u should tell people there is something wrong with the computer. He said ya sure and proceeded to bring the next car inside without saying anything I told the person there computers weren’t even working. I understand computers down but very poor communication however the elderly lady behind the desk was delightful. I will never go back

Trash…Zero stars if possible. This garage WILL take advantage of you. If you get stuck having to deal with them watch out for your wallet. Very unprofessional behavior from bobby over the phone to a young woman. “ we will just let it sit and rot or your insurance is paying anyway ” increasingly adding charges for a tow. Please go somewhere else.

This is one of the Tow Yards when you don't get your car out of the Municipal parking lot by 7:00 after the Snow Ban, it cost me $170 , although I was steaming mad about it they were very calm and Professional and friendly about what they had to do. I always believe these things are unfair but at least with this map you may find your car..

I was 3 cars deep in line for a car inspection and waited over an hour before I left. The car in front of me was an employee car that was sitting there. Personally and professionally, employees shouldn’t be in line with other customers. That’s something that should be done before and/or after hours. Nonetheless, waiting over an hour is unacceptable when an inspection takes less that 15 minutes. I wound up going to West St. and was seen within a half hour upon arrival with 2 cars ahead. Never coming back here again.

I went for an inspection sticker this morning. I didn't have the paperwork but my plate sticker is up to date and paid for. Mechanic with a power trip refused to help me. I am literally down the street with Salvador getting the job done! ?✌️ Now I know where not to go. ☹️

I purchased a vehicle here about 5 months ago with the help of Bobby. It was my first time buying a car and he was extremely helpful and patient waiting for me to get all my paperwork in order. The jeep I bought was a good deal and hasn’t had any issues. I’m very happy with my purchase, how smooth the process went, and how prompt Bobby was. He made my first experience wonderful and exceeded all expectations. If the occasion arose, I would definitely go back.

An inspection sticker done had a slice in the tire went down to Pete’s, which is not even a mile down the road had multiple tires put on went right back for sticker and they charge me an extra $35 to reinspect my vehicle. Never heard of this. Also had a friend get something towed, and was not very well taken care of during the process of towing do not recommend these people

I am unsure where the less than stellar reviews are coming from. I had an exceptional experience with TJ & Sons. On the evening of 3/29/24 my fuel tank dropped out of my truck while driving home through Hubbardston. 20 years of salted roads took their toll and the straps rusted through. Ryan arrived on site in record time and had my 2004 Tundra and a full gas tank off the road and headed to the TJ shop on Gardner straight away. It took several days to get the necessary replacement parts from Toyota, but as soon as they arrived, Ryan had the new tank in place and I was on my way. Great service, good value, fair prices! Thank you Ryan and TJ! A++ TJ is a serious towing company serving central Mass with a large fleet of tow trucks, large and small. They are also a Mass inspection station.

The tow truck ran a red light yesterday and almost hit my husband and I (we were both in different cars). Literally, in front of the Gardner Police station. Two punk kids in the truck. They actually were laughing because they thought it was comical. I hope the owner realizes the seriousness involved with having horrible drivers driving your huge tow trucks. I hope you have good insurance! Looking at previous reviews, this seems to be a common occurrence!

I would love to say I actually used this business, but after multiple attempts to get cars inspected and receiving nothing so much as an acknowledgement after an hour of waiting in a 3 car deep line, I'm fairly convinced that they either don't want to do business, or have a handful of customers that they prioritize and say screw the rest. Not good experiences, won't waste my time going back

After having my truck towed by TJ and sons i asked for a receipt so i could submit the $500 cash payment for my business records. I was told If you want a receipt its another $50.00 cash. seems strange to me that they charge for something that's pretty standard of any quality business.

I had a great experience with TJ and sons auto repair. After being in a wreck they towed my car worked with my time schedule to pick up items in car, they pick up the phone before it’s able to ring twice they’re able to give you good quality information. I would highly recommend TJ’s. I will be sure to be using them in the future.

When my daughter tried to take a detour over a guardrail in our Jeep, TJs was called for the tow. The first tow truck driver knew this was a bigger job than he could do, so he called for a bigger wrecker to pull my jeep over. Tommy, the owner, showed up with the big truck. His skill got our jeep back over without incurring any additional damage to the Jeep or guardrail. Tommy also assisted in getting me the needed paperwork to complete a reimbursement form for AAA. Overall my experience with TJs was very positive. Thanks again for helping us out.

TJ &Sons has always been trustworthy and professional. I have been doing business with them for at least 15 years and have always been pleased. No returning multiple times for same issue. Once and done! Honest, professional, timely and reasonable cost!

Went there to give someone a ride to pick up their car after it got towed. The person who worked/helped me there, who I assume is the owner, was very polite and was very nice/sympathetic to the whole ordeal. After we payed the tow fine we realized our car had dangerously low levels of oil in it (our fault) and I went inside to ask if the shop had any oil I could buy. The owner came out and gave me about 1.5 quarts for free! Definitely lifted my spirits and had my experience go from an average one to a great one! That aside the older lady at the front desk was very rude and entitled. Every other employee was generally pleasant so I don't know what her deal was, but this is my only complaint. It obviously hampers the business and makes the already embarrassing experience of paying a large fine even more volatile and depressing then it has to be. This isn't necessarily the shop's fault so I'm not detracting any stars for it, but it's definitely something to keep in mind. As long as you treat tow drivers with respect they will usually return the favor, so I assume 90% of the 1-Star reviews are from people who treated the employees rudely and got a taste of their own medicine. It's not the employees fault your car got towed, it's yours and you got to owe up to it and pay the fine. The tow company isn't the one that decides to tow your car, it's the town that puts out the order to tow your car! If you've been wrongly towed take it up with them, not the drivers!

I was woken up in the middle of the night to my car being towed after a landlord/police agreement that we could park our cars on the road while the parking lot was being paved. Everyone in the building ran outside to move cars after TJ’s gave 30 minutes for the cars to be moved. We were outside immediately and my car was gone. Meanwhile, someone else had their car towed while they were standing there and getting into it. This place did not care about people what so ever. We all went to go get our cars back and they were extremely unprofessional and rude. They even tried re-towing someone’s car while they were waiting for a receipt in the parking lot. I have never met more heartless people in my life and I hope no one respects or uses this business. Getting towed is one thing, getting towed for parking somewhere you are allowed to be, while you’re outside to move your car, is insanity.

We called today to make sure they were open and still doing inspection stickers to which we were told oh yes of course we are. I then asked what time they were open until and was told we take our last inspection customer at 4:30pm. My fiance pulled in at 4:09pm and a guy came out and rudely signaled him to leave so when he told him we had called and was told 4:30 was the last inspection he rudely said "well you were misinformed, we're done for the day". It would've been fine if he just would've said sorry due to the weather we've decided to close early, but that wasn't the case. Will start going elsewhere for inspection stickers!
