Generally, the produce section is well stocked and their bakery is consistently good. Overall, good prices and their rewards program helps with gas savings.

Worst Stop & Shop I have EVER been to. Filthy floor, dusty cans and shelves, a clean up on isle 7 never got cleaned up causing my child to fall on mayonnaise and that was enough. I left everything exactly where it was and took my walking mayonnaise boy home for a second shower... Go the extra 10 miles and use the next one, better yet go to Shaws!

I have been coming here since childhood, shopping with my parents. This is my own go-to grocery store, and I still love it to this day.

The staff there are very rude and are really bad at helping their customers when we need help. God forbid they take the time to do their job correctly. We were very kind and respectful to them and I want the respect back, I don’t want some worker snapping at me for not knowing everything about the store.

I like the store... BUT PLEASE!!! use some BLEACH or whatever on the bathroom floor.. whoever cleans it just spreads the urine around with a mop.. smells absolutely disgusting...and has for a year.. I'm older and must use it and it literally makes me sick...not good for a grocery store

The Stop and Shop In Pembroke is NOT the place to go. More than half of the staff don’t seem to know what they are doing- and i mean in a sense that they will literally ignore you when they see you struggling at the self checkout area or trying to find an item. I can’t even count the amount of times i’ve literally directly talked to an employee who also made eye contact with me- just to walk by me even when i’m throwing my hands up a little trying to get their attention while talking. They barely have deals now and even the meat department has shitty meat. I literally got sick two weeks ago off some steak I made from there. It’s very disappointing because I used to love Stop and Shop and that was the place to go for cheap but high quality groceries. Now, how ever, they brought the quality of all foods around (specially produce) down and the prices has gone way up.. ?‍♀️ But there is a Shaws right up the road with better prices and they have great coupons so ?‍♀️. This establishment also opens at 6 am while Stop & Shop opens at 7 am. I don’t usually leave reviews at places but i’ve been here a couple more times to kinda “give them another chance” or to try and not let the last experience be what I think of the place- but almost every time it’s a disappointing or aggravated experience. the only time it isn’t is when there aren’t any workers around. Which isn’t really safe but at that point I didn’t want any workers around me anyways. I hope who ever is reading this has had a better experience than I have and if not than I recommend Shaws because they are nice and actually have good customer service skills. Thank you

1 register and self checkout closed at 8 pm. Also bathroom looks like it hasn’t been cleaned in a week +. Nasty building

The store doesn't carry fresh Oregano. Seriously, other than salt and pepper, garlic, and oinion, you need fresh Oregano, Basal, and parsley (dried does not taste the same) for Italian food. All the food they throw out because no-one buys it, and they can't stock fresh Oregano?

I like a quiet, no muss no fuss shopping experience. This Stop & Shop, in Whitman is just that. A leisurely walk down the aisles, taking time to get what you want. Check outs are usually a reasonable wait time (shop mid day during the week, if you're able to).

Fast unloading , I came through where the docks were an I had to reverse on the side to come back the right way ., so there is a entrance on the other side which would of avoid it ..

Was there at 8:30pm and only two self checkouts were open with so many people in line. There should be way more self checkouts open. I walked out leaving my cart of groceries. The manager should be fired.

Advertise being open until 9pm on Sunday but I arrived at 8:40 and the doors were locked. I could see employees standing around inside. While I was typing this 3 other people drove up and went to the door, finding it locked before closing time. I guess don't go there after 8pm on Sundays.

Very disappointed in the customer support my elderly father received from the front end manager Gina. Gina was both rude and demeaning throughout the entire interaction, and I would even go as far to say she became hostile towards the end. I’m not one to ever leave a bad review, however this so called manager was so unprofessional I really felt no choice. Needless to say me and Dad will no longer be shopping here.

Good size grocery store with some decent sales. However, the check out process was completely frustrating. At the self check out, I thought I could scan and my kids could bag and we could get thru quickly, but no such luck. All the items had to stay on the scale after scanning or the lady would have to come clear something on the register. The machine was constantly beeping and reading out error messages. It wasn't even just me. Several registers were doing this which caused even more confusion. Annoying! They should not make it so difficult to scan and bag my own groceries.

Every single time I get produce here it is basically already bad by the time I get home. Bought about 10 shallots the other day and had to throw out all but one due to mold and rotting. Bought bakery made “chocolate stuffed croissants” and they were completely hollow. Manager is rude, there is never any registers open. I’ve attempted to call and voice my complaints rather than blast them online, but no one ever answers the phone. I come here weekly and will not be returning.

You know those plastic bags for the roast chicken that use 72% less plastic? Well they are 100% more annoying. I have to wrestle the chicken put of the bag. Put it in another dish to heat. The old plastic containers? Straight into the micro. I hate the bags. Dont get me started on the vacuum packages for the meat. Not user friendly either.

Terrible customer service. Shocked at the way this store is managed. After working 13 hours all day, I went to check out $75 worth of groceries. Had to use self check out bc there was no one at the regular check out lane. Turns out Will was sitting in front of me at the front of the store ( he was assigned to the one open check out) and his 2 coworkers (manager?) were also standing at the front of the store, right in front of the lanes. After scanning everything and paying, not one of them came to help me bag my items. They looked up from their phones and pretended like I wasn’t there. I said to the employees that it would’ve been nice to have some help with my items and they just stared at me. Very disappointed and needed to express the lack of basic customer service that was exhibited.

Great selection and employees are normally helpful. However, not the best customer service department, I called to see if they had an item in stock that I’ve been having trouble finding lately, so before I went to the store I called first, waited on hold for a bit and the lady who answered the phone at the service desk (with a heavy accent) says “she can’t help me right now because she’s too busy” and hung up on me! Not cool lady, not cool. All I wanted was yogurt :(

Yes absolutely correct they are a very officiant professional store where they show the customer is there most important part of there continued success. PEMBROKE STOP & SHOP is outstanding in there cleanliness and speed on check out. All employees are always asking customers if they need help finding anything throughout the store. Thumbs up Pembroke Stop & Shop keep up your Excellent job !!!

The new layout of the store can be a little confusing, but overall works well. As always, they have excellent store made bakery products. And the quality of the produce has gone up dramatically. Well stocked, clean and has everything you need.

I'm not a fan @ all of the new layout or the haphazard way that product is distributed... I know there's a financial/marketing benefit to the STORE but I'll give it a few more runs BUT it is quite a time suck AND my typical fresh & healthy choices ARE costing WAY MORE !! Yuck!!

I have been utilizing your pick up service over the past months. I would like to acknowledge one of your employees in the Pick up group in Pembroke, MA Church street store. Her name is Victoria, she has exemplified the highest of ideals of customer service over a number of visits to pick up my order she has indicated “ I saw you wanted this which we did not have but thought you may like this? I mean who does that in these days and times. Her product knowledge continues to amaze me and he willingness to assist the customer. She demonstrates a high level of motivation to get the job done and done correctly , she depicts a high level of proficiency in every aspect of what meets or exceeds customer satisfaction . Please pass on our deepest gratitude for her service Especially during these difficult and trying times. She represents your brand in the highest of manners.

Tried S&S senior hours today, on the first day of the Labor Day prices. I liked the thin crowd and many workers. But, like every store, it really helps to know where stuff is. Especially during senior hours, as it's not all out yet. And not all the prices are changed.

For a New England it's a pretty good grocery store. But compared to grocery stores around New Jersey New York and also on the west coast California and Washington State they don't compare. The other ones around the country are much more advanced they have many more new foods and choices and are cleaner and more up to date. And I hate hate hate the paper bags. There's no handles and they break when you pick them up so your groceries are all over the ground. Nice move. They make it a law you can't use plastic bags anymore so now we're stuck with bags that break. I hate that and I never voted for it. Maybe it was done in secret like the impeachment. Did they ever think about saving the environment by plastic with all the plastic that's used to wrap the food itself. Almost every item of food is in plastic including juice bottles tomato sauce bottles ketchup condiments meats and you put your vegetables in plastic bags your cold cuts are in plastic everything is in plastic but they don't think about stopping that and that's what we eat we're eating those chemicals. So they don't care about the people they just care about their fake global warming so they do away with plastic bags this thing that helps us and now we can't have them. So instead now we're eating plastic which is even worse. Does anybody think of that? Probably not because people don't think. There's no more brain activity it seems.

This is one of the smaller Stop & Shop's I've been in. The selection is still fairly good and the produce is good. My big issue with S&S right now is having to load digital coupons on my card which never works and you're supposed to do it 24hrs in advance anyhoo. What a pain to get grocery sales. Shaws/Star I like less for food but there's no fuss to get the deals.

Overall good experience quality of the food is very good. Staff are good and very helpful. I periodically buy plain yogurt and really need to get it in a small container but they only sell large containers and it's been that way for years. That was my one complaint today
