I brought my 1993 Toyota Hilux surf SSR – X did Jay Rattenbury's Auto Works to have it replaced. The starter is in a very difficult location so I couldn't do it myself. I brought it to the right man! He pulled the old starter and put in the new one in no time for a very fair price. I can't recommend J Rattenbury's Auto Works highly enough!

I popped my tire and they were great throughout the entire process! I brought my corgi in to wait with me while they put the new tire on and he loved getting all the pets!
Jay was great to do business with. One shop wouldn’t do the job. Another shop quoted double what Jay did the job for. The communication was excellent considering the job became more than we originally thought, and I was updated daily. He looked in to ways to keep the cost down and most importantly made sure my daughters car was safe. I would highly recommend Rattenbury AutoWorks!
Rattenbury's AutoWorks went over and above our expectations in dealing with a brake issue experienced while on a New England vacation. Although fully booked, a late cancellation enabled Jay, the owner, to diagnose and repair the failed front right tire braking mechanism and allow us to continue our vacation without losing a single day. Both he and his partner were most understanding and above that, friendly and welcoming. I strongly recommend this company for any auto repairs that might arise. He also has a great collection of "Classic Cars"!
We brought a car in to Jay for a pre-sale safety check. He was very friendly, very professional, and very clear explaining the situation to people who don't have a lot of car knowledge. He gave us a very straightforward review of the car's status and a rough estimate of the cost of necessary repairs. We felt that we were in very good hands. While we did not need him to do any repairs on a car this time, I definitely would not hesitate in the future to bring him my car for servicing. Two thumbs way up!
I bring all my family vehicles here. I trust Jay. I feel good knowing my 72 Buick GS is in the hands of a knowledgable mechanic. He has passion and pride im his work. He is a one man show, so you'll need to plan time accordingly.
After dealing with an issue with our brakes for 6 months and taking it to two other places, we finally called Rattenbury’s. Jay was able to diagnose the issue right away and quickly addressed the issue. We will be returning here if we ever have issues in the future. The way jay run his business should be a model to all. After taking my other vehicles to other shops, I was spoiled by jay. He will be taking care our fleet for now on.
