If you have a brand that you love and know you may need a car in the future, tell Peter about your specifications for your used dream vehicle. It may take time for the vehicle to appear but it will be worth it because the vehicle you will get will be thoroughly analyzed by Peter and John. Learn from me because I did not tell Peter about my wishes until I found my dream vehicle on a lot of another small dealership. I did not want to lose the vehicle so I bought the vehicle as opposed to waiting for Peter to find the vehicle of my dreams. I needed to give a family member my old vehicle which I got from Peter years before and I did not have the luxury of time. My second mistake was not having Peter look at the new / used vehicle which I purchased from another small dealership. The vehicle was great for six plus years without any issues other than maintenance which I did locally and not at Cohasset Imports. In May 2023, I brought my car to Cohasset Imports for an oil change and the 60k scheduled maintenance. Unfortunately, it was too late. Peter and John discovered a very expensive $7,900 repair was needed. If I brought the car to Cohasset Imports years ago, they would have discovered the issue and it would have been covered under the warranty. Since I found a brand that I love, I was limited in my choices to find another vehicle. Again, I did not have time to wait until Peter found another vehicle for me so I traded my vehicle at a dealership and had Peter and John review my new used vehicle. Peter’s analysis included some recommended repairs which I will discuss with the dealership. Peter gave me the reassurance and confirmation that this new / old vehicle is in great condition and did not have any of the similar issues noted on my former vehicle. A customer in the waiting room called him an Angel and I could not agree more. We are so fortunate to have Peter on the South Shore looking out for us and guiding our automotive needs.

After being treated less than amazing at another auto repair, I randomly found Cohasset Imports. Not only were they thorough and reasonably priced for my repair quote, they also informed me that the recommendation from the other auto repair was unnecessary & overpriced.
They do quality repairs and trustworthy sales here. My whole family is now using Cohasset Imports for our auto repairs and plan on being customers for the long run.

Drove by this baby on my way to the grocery store. Love at first sight. I didn’t even know what kind of car it was and just loved admiring the view. My dad was in very poor health, so made a “life’s too short” decision and stopped by. It was a Sunday, so thought I’d just look at the sticker. A few minutes later, the friendly and kind Peter C. walked over. He educated me about the vehicle and let us take her for a ride. He also mentioned that there were 2 people interested. Yes, I did an eye roll. When we returned, we noticed a few issues and discussed them. I looked up the car value and the price he wanted was spot on. We sealed the deal with a handshake. I spent the next week securing financing (yes, what Peter recommended WAS the best deal, despite my other eye toll when he suggested a bank to finance through), visiting, and ultimately picking up Poppy (my 2013 FJ Cruiser). He finally told me highlights about the two people who actually WERE interested. He had come through on EVERY promise. He even put on a new set of tires AND asked how my dad was doing (who passed the following week). Whenever I mention where I bought Poppy, I hear rave reviews about Peter. Words like fair, honest, kind, smart and AMAZING MECHANIC. I haven’t hit 5K miles since I bought Poppy, but I will allow no one else to look under her hood.

I'm a first time car buyer and found a good deal of miata here. I was hesitating buying a used car especially I don't know the seller. But after talking with Peter for just a few minutes, I feel like I met an old friend and he is the car guy you can trust for life. Peter is knowledgeable and patient to my questions, all the procedures are smooth as butter, just like the miata gearbox. I'm very glad I seized the opportunity to visit Cohasset Imports. Actually when we first arrived, there's another lady telling us all the cars of her family were bought here almost new and the deal is always the best. I can't guarantee I'm buying all my future cars here but I did get a good deal of this miata at low mileage and still in warranty. Before visiting here, my major concern of buying a used car is I don't really know its story, but this kind of concern never exists if you're buying from Peter because you know he's honest and already checked everything for you!
Peter is the nicest man ever! He is very knowledgeable and has cars that look brand new !! He services only cats he sells. I always look I love to see which spectacular cats he has there! My husband does the car buying in the family so I ve yet to experience yet I ll tell you & I have always told everybody I know to look at what peter has! Around town I ll see a fantastic looking vehicle and will hear imo, ir’s Used ... a few years old, I got it st Cohasset imports!!! This is the third or 4th vehicle we’ve purchased there!! I have spoken with Peter many times over the years and he has been most generous with recommendations of specialists in the area. A ding guy or a wheel guy!! His cars are pristine, he has the plan in place!! He is great and his place looks beautiful.. my humble opinion, it’s a win/win!
In used car buying and repairs, TRUST is key. Peter is beyond trustworthy. The Nissan Maxima he sold us - for a very fair price - was a gem. And, the work he's done on my Fiat 500 is never more than is necessary, and also at a very fair price. There's a reason why Cohasset Imports has stood the test of time and built a business that is undergoing expansion: They can be trusted to do what is in their customer's best interest.
Just sold my car with these guys and they were fantastic. I had a lower mileage and well taken care of car that was priced to high for craigslist and the private market. These guys called us and offered more then the carmax offer. They were kind, quick and easy to deal with. More importantly, they were interested in the car because of its condition and they showed all the signs of being a good dealer to buy from. We were in and out of there in 30 minutes with a receipt for our bill of sale, very thorough instructions on transferring/cancelling all necessary accounts, registrations, etc. and directions to a town favorite diner for breakfast after. Fantastic place, would recommend to friends and family.
