I had a very disappointing experience with Nantucket Auto Body. From start to finish, the service was unprofessional and frustrating. Communication was almost nonexistent -- I had to repeatedly follow up just to get basic updates on my car's status. When I finally got the vehicle back it was incomplete and I had to drop the car off 3 more times for them to finish the job. On top of that, the staff seemed disinterested and dismissive of my concerns. There was no sense of accountability, and I felt like I was being treated more as a nuisance than a customer. What should have been a straightforward repair turned into a long, drawn-out process full of excuses and delays. I never leave negative reviews, but I felt compelled to share my experience so others can make a more informed decision. I would NOT recommend Nantucket Auto Body if you're looking for quality work or reliable service.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS Nantucket “Auto Body” is a genuinely embarrassing establishment. I am not only talking about the complete lack of communication on their part, or the incompetent and rude employees, but also the absolutely horrific quality of work and the seemingly never ending wait times for them to do any sort of work at all. I know SEVERAL other people that have experienced similar issues with them, but I myself have had work done on 2 separate cars there on a few occasions and every time has been a complete and utter nightmare, and that is putting it mildly. The first car i took there was a 2016 Honda Accord, to have the rear quarter panel replaced. This took 8 months for them to complete, and required me to bring the car back several times after they replaced said panel because of blatant overspray of some sort all over the car (they claimed “acid rain”), multiple wiring issues, ridiculous amounts wind noise, and a leaky trunk. They (eventually) agreed to fix the paint, but refused to fix any of the other issues, stating “there is nothing we can do”. I then brought the car off-island to two separate Honda dealerships to see what they could do, both of which inspected the repair done by Nantucket Auto Body, and they both said the same thing as each other. The car was irreparable due to how it was repaired prior, and my insurance stated that it would have to be totaled due to the improper repair. So essentially I waited over 8 months for them to end up botching the repair job which ended up totaling my car. The second and most recent car needed a front bumper repair, a fender replacement and two front struts. Foolishly, I went to back to Nantucket Auto Body. I’ll spare you the gory details, but it ends with them not fixing the suspension properly, not fixing the bumper properly, and on top of that they left several scratches on the hood next to where they replaced the fender. I inquired about fixing these issues to which they agreed. After a week they tell me they can’t figure out what is wrong with the suspension (took 10 minutes to figure out at home), and that they had already told me the parking aid wouldn’t work(they didn’t, we discussed the headlight washer not working, not the sensors), and then told me to bring it back next week to fix the scratches. I brought it back like they told me, and the same employee who had told me to bring it back, Jimmy (who had been seemingly very kind and fairly helpful throughout the process), told me, and i quote, “Yeah, we aren’t gonna be doing that” “Every car on Nantucket has scratches” “It’s petty to even ask us to do that.” Again, this is the same guy that told me not even a week before to bring it back and they would buff it out, is now calling me petty for wanting them to fix scratches that they made and said they would fix. Anyways, insurance is currently compensating me, yet again, for another pathetic excuse of a repair job done by the infamous Nantucket Auto Body. I just hope that I can help others avoid this disgusting, dumpster fire of a business, because NOBODY should have to waste their time and money on the deplorable work this shop does, and they CERTAINLY don’t deserve your money either. The title says it all, AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Kevin Moore is a great guy. Towed us out of deep sand on a Sunday, charged a very fair price, less than half of what others were quoting. He arrived in 10 minutes. He was funny, sympathetic, and the first thing he said was, don’t feel bad. This happens all the time. Can’t say enough about the guy and not clear there aren’t more five star reviews because he has a five Star guy.

I never write bad reviews but I am compelled to write this one. Extremely poor service. DONOT GO HERE. After month and half of me following up , they backed out saying they can’t provide estimate when initially they said get a quote first from the rental insurance and reach out to them. They wasted my month and a half giving me false information. The customer service is horrible both in person and on the phone. Even when you are patient and always respectful, they are rude on the phone and try to over explain as if you don’t understand anything in a condescending manner. They never responded to my email. Disappointed! Highly recommend NOT to use their services

One month waiting for your call and when I go to ask they tell me I'm sorry we don't have anything the worst service, You do not get a more poorly run establishment, worst customer care, rude people at the desk, never helpful, willing to just lie and cheat you to get you off the line

We are so thankful for the friendly and helpful staff that replaced our battery when it suddenly died yesterday! As we prepare to leave on the ferry, we are grateful for your help! I highly recommend Nantucket Auto Body. The island is very busy and they are so kind when visitors are in need of assistance.

These guys do a great job , hands down the hardest and most caring of all the shops on Nantucket for your car. Would definitely go back for more service in the future, they deal with some real rude people and handle them just fine.

Locally owned and managed this is the type of place that makes you appreciate a local owner. They are fair and reasonable in their pricing and their service is excellent. Highly recommend them.. Thanks Norm and team.
