Very confusing about some of the waste streams. Also very busy and the parking for drop off is not well thought out.

Saturday is usually busy, so I try to go midweek, there are never any issues except today. Someone decided to throw wine bottle caps on the ground where we park our cars, and we almost rolled over them. They have the little ridges and would have popped our tire. So I took them home to toss. People don't like to pick up their messes sometimes, but other than that it's fine. Sometimes I will pop in on a Saturday just to check the swap shed.. I love coloring books and crayons.. lol. At 54, I forgot to grow up.. teehee. But the guys working, they do their best, and the volunteers deserve a pat on the back for keeping the swap shed organized. I could never do that.. my OCD, and inability to socialize well, makes it a struggle for me. And I can't lift much without getting out of breath. But they are always looking for volunteers !

A typical day dropping stuff off at the transfer station. The Swap Shed is open 10:00 am to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.

The Weston Transfer Station is very well organized and allows for recycling of many items... white paper, cardboard, news & magazines, plastic, cans, metal, fabric. Various charity doantion options, too.
