I haven't had to deal with a body shop for a very long time and I am glad that this shop was here for me when I had an unfortunate thing happen to my car recently. They replaced the front section of my Honda Fit, paint perfectly matched, and gave me back a clean, beautiful car. Dealing with Alejandra in the front office was truly a pleasure - she is as efficient as she is warm. And all, just a short walk down the hill from my home in Somerville.

I have used this body shop several times over the years. The work has been consistently good, the price is reasonable and the service is excellent.

This shop did a beautiful job on my body work! They also washed and vacuumed my car and sent text updates the whole time it was being serviced!

I had my driver's side-- side view mirror clipped. So on a Saturday morning I went there--and even though they couldn't service me then he tapped on a piece of glass and directed me down the street to the Somerville Auto Center. Not to mention-- I cut my finger on the broken glass-- and the gentleman had me wash my wound--bandaged me up-- I was impressed..

I tried avoiding doing this, but now they are deliberately ignoring my (multiple) voicemails, so here we are. Long story short, they gave me the completely wrong lighting fixtures, wrong rear bumper, and didnt even put a light back in my trunk. I got rear ended last year and thus I took my car in to get a trunk and rear end repair. When I got the car back, they put the wrong lights in… a completely different set and shape of lights that in had prior AND they put the wrong rear bumper on that now has decorative holes and a straight red line on it. Instead of complaining and waiting another week or two to get my car back, I decided not to complain. Most people would’ve complained that their entire cars back end looks entirely different. Now that it’s getting darker outside… I now realized they ALSO never replaced the light in my trunk, and the wires are just freaking hanging there with no light, which was obviously not the case prior to them fixing the trunk. I’ve called nicely a few times and had to leave voicemails with no call back. I simply asked them to put a light back in the trunk, and they haven’t returned my calls, therefore, I’m finally being honest and leaving them a review they deserve for giving me the completely wrong lighting fixtures, wrong rear bumper, and not even putting a light back in the trunk. All I asked for was them to fix one mistake, and I’ve been ignored.

Wow. The Fred M Susan Auto Body team went above and beyond my expectations. Not only did they do a great job fixing my damaged bumper, but they also cleaned the inside and outside of my car and put a wide box in my trunk for all of the stuff I haul around. My car hasn't been this clean since the day I bought it.

I can't say enough good things about this fantastic shop. This is the second car I've had to get work done on and it was perfect both times. No problems with the insurance, either. Also, the employees are really great at what they do, and they're friendly. They have a text service for updates which was nice. As a customer I felt like they knew how much I cared about my vehicle and the quality of work. They do excellent work so it wasn't an issue at all. They treated my cars like they were their own.

Excellent service. Prompt response, whenever I sent an email, the staff replies in less than an hour. It was very easy scheduling a drop-off. And they make sure to get the high quality work done as fast as they can (compared to other shops) Also, you get to get the car clean in and out. Highly recommended.

The front line staff (Rafael and Dennis) was remarkably patient with me, kind, and extremely knowledgeable. They kept me informed about my car’s progress, and they actually delivered it six days earlier than projected! The work was outstanding! Better than I had expected. And, my car was cleaned outside and in - like a brand new car! I am extremely happy with my entire experience with JMS!

Due to an accident, I recently had my car towed to Fred M. Susan Auto Body. I choose them because they were an approved shop of my insurance company, and because of the reviews. When I walked into the office, he brought me to my car and showed me his assessment of the damage. After I grabbed my belongings from the car, I asked him some questions about what causes a car to become a total loss. He explained super clear how/why. I also asked if he had any advice about what my insurance company may offer me if car is total loss, and how to protect myself from a low quote. He walked me through some pointers and bullet points to argue if my insurance under quoted me. At this point it was past closing, and Rafael was still super patient and could tell he cared that I got a fair shake of things, even showing me my car on nada.com to see what I should be getting for the car. Again, I appreciate their honesty, time, and care in making sure I got a fair outcome. The three times I called, they were very thorough, patient, and thoughtful, and did not rush me off the phone or out of the office. If I ever need work on my car, this is my first and only choice. Period.

I would give more than 5 Stars if it would be possible. At Fred M Susan Auto Body, I was treated like a top priority customer. Their professionalism and Job made me feel good and happy at same time. This business professionally repaired by damaged bumper in a quick and speedy manner! They provided constant updates at every turn, and even helped repair some dings that were close enough to the paint blending (covered under the insurance) at a very fair price! They even went so far as to clean the interior of my vehicle! Would recommend!

Rafael really took care of me - since walking in the door and walking out the door. I picked Fred M. Susan after reading their reviews, I am so glad that I did. They were fast and friendly and did a great job. My car is good as new and sparkling clean inside and out. No one ever wants to go to a body shop but if you need work done I really can't recommend them enough.

I went here because of the great reviews and it was the best decision - the shop is incredibly professional and responsive, they fixed the small scratch/dent on my car in 1 day and when I picked it up the car was washed and shined! Could not be happier. Thank you FMS!

Absolutely amazing service, from getting an estimate, availability to drop off the car, and speed of the repair. My car was scratched in the garage at work and the person drove off, so all in all a bad situation. However, going here, they were able to give me a really reasonable estimate and take the car the following week (which was most convenient for me). After dropping off, I was told that it would likely be ready by the end of the week, however everything was finished (with a complete clean of the interior) by Tuesday. Absolutely fantastic, from start to finish. If I ever have the need to get my car exterior fixed again, this is the first place I will go to, hands down.

A fender bender/insurance claim brought me in to Fred M Susan Auto Body to get my entire front bumper, grill & left headlight completely replaced. Was very nervous to have work done on my 2013 Lexus as its pearl white (a 3-stage coat) and very hard to fade into the rest of the car. Front desk woman, Mary, was incredibly nice and explained everything to me that would be happening. Signed up for text alerts through the shop and was always updated about the estimated time of completion. Very professional staff and very easy to work with. Went to pick up my car and couldn't have been happier with the end result. They were forced to use all original Lexus parts (a win in my book), and absolutely knocked the job out of the park. The entire front end is beautiful and looks like the car just pulled off the lot, THANK YOU BILL AND COMPANY!! Took my car here for an insurance claim as recommended by my insurer. The work was good, and as expected. What exceeded my expectations was the friendliness, service, and communication. Bill and Mary were helpful and use an automatic SMS service to keep you updated on the progress of your vehicle. They also recommended a good car rental place that picked me up and dropped me off from the shop.

FMS took care of an insurance claim (rear bumper) and (out-of-pocket) replacement of the driver's side door on my 2003 Mini Cooper using a door that I provided. Their team did a great job installing the door (all electrical, speakers, locks etc working) and the paint job looks great on both door and bumper. They even photo-documented the process. I would go back to FMS for any bodywork.
