Not much needs to be said here, except this is mechanic you can trust. Reasonable prices for repairs (I know everything is relative). I priced a couple "major" jobs comparing dealer, Advance, and another shop. Advance was the most comprehensive with best price each time. Other positive factors- he's local and open Mon - Fri to 6, Sat to 3.
We've used Advance for our fleet of commercial vehicles for years. This business is honest, extremely competent and fairly priced. We highly recommend them.

I can’t tell you how hard it has been to find an honest, reliable auto shop in Boston. I’m so glad I finally found one in Advance Auto Center. I called for a problem with my car that I needed fixed right away, and not only was I able to bring the car in the very next morning, they had it finished that same day. What I thought was wrong with it ended up being something completely different and much less severe, so I was only charged the labor fees. Every staff member I met was so kind and friendly, and I will definitely be referring them to anyone who needs a trustworthy auto body shop.
When I had an unexpected brake problem, other shops in the area refused to work on it because they said it was a hybrid. Not only did Advance Auto Center have the confidence to work on it, but they also squeezed me into their busy schedule. They accurately diagnosed the issue and had it repaired the same day. I enjoyed their service so much that I brought them my other vehicle to work on. Again, they did quick phenomenal work on that one, too. As a local guide with almost 200,000 views, I would highly recommend giving them a call.
Awesome place. My door was caught in a wind gust causing the hinge to bend. I had to bungee cord the door closed to drive it home, with the open door chime playing the entire time! I took it over to to Advanced Auto, close to when they were closing, just hoping to get a quote to fix the issue. They were quickly able to bend the door back into place and then opted not to charge me. Super honest, and great service.
Great place. They ordered parts quickly and fixed my car within estimate time. I will send my car to this business for repair going forward. Trustworthy business.
These guys are great. Was so nervous the first time I left my crv with them as my own family has been the only other ppl to repair my autos..I've had regular maintenance like brakes and tires but they've also put in a starter worked on my trans and engine with serious issues. So happy to have Advanced Auto in my neighborhood, thanks guys
Advance Auto Center saved my holiday weekend! On the way out to NYC my blinkers stopped working. They took the car in quickly and diagnosed/solved the issue within an hour. Super friendly and helpful. Will return forever!
My catalytic converter was recently stolen from my 2004 Honda pilot,after a couple of weeks of mechanics not being truthful,I stopped by advanced.
These guys were the kindest and most honest people I've ever met in this industry.
Ruben helped me and was truthful about the repairs I needed,even though it's not work they do.

I go to Advance Auto Center for both a personal truck and a work fleet vehicle car. No matter the circumstance or vehicle, they take care of all aspects with exceptional communication, professionalism, and efficiency. They take care of fleet vehicles with a turnkey process so you do not have to lift a finger and with personal vehicles are as transparent and honest as possible. Their work is extremely impressive and the personnel at the shop is extremely friendly. Have been to both the Rockland and more frequently the Newton facility and both are exceptional providers of service! Nothing but good things to say about Advance Auto Center. 10/10 Recommend.
Finding a reputable mechanic can be hard but I consider myself very lucky to have found Advance, and I’ve been using them on both of my vehicles for over 4 years. They are always helpful and knowledgeable, and have found ways to save me money several times when they could have just gone the route that would bring them more profit. Really the best local shop I’ve ever used.
I am from Montreal, my van broke down, everywhere I called to get it checked/repaired they said they were overbooked and could take up to 2 weeks to maybe get my truck ready. I walked into Advance discouraged and said I need a miracle, the clerk (sorry I’m bad with names) said in a friendly way: You are at the right place, we work miracles.
Within 15 minutes they checked my truck, found the problem , ordered the parts and said they would get on it as soon as parts arrived.
Result: next morning at 10:47 it was ready.
If I break down anywhere in the Boston area, I will get towed there for sure.
The guy’s are awesome, calm, professional and a good working team.

I have used this autoshop for years. They are always professional, courteous and willing to help. They have loaner cars if scheduled in advance. I could not speak more highly of them. I have sent friends, family, customers and employees to them and they have all been happy with the out come.
These guys are awesome! They price they quote you is likely what you’ll pay. There’s no hidden fees or attempts to up-sell you on stuff you don’t need. The guys there are all friendly and knowledgeable and have helped me keep my 15 year old Toyota Corolla running smoothly, even when faced with electrical issues that have stumped other places. I’m moving from the area soon and I’m really sorry I won’t have this place right down the street from me anymore. I also NEVER write reviews...but I’d give these guys 6 stars if I could, they’re the best!!
Scheduled an appointment to get a tire patched due to a small nail in the tread. The service was quick, professional, and overall a very friendly and clean environment. Not something you find too often these days!
I had previous gone to Town Fair Tire and was treated very poorly, even mocked, so I'm happy to say that I've found a new place to bring my car for any of my tire needs.
I hesitated on having an inspection done on my vehicle during the pandemic and I'm beyond happy I choose to come here. They were extremely professional, on time and took all the right precautions to put me at ease. Thank you for disinfecting my keys and vehicle before I entered my car and for keeping your lobby so clean and for sanitized. I will be a returning customer and will tell everyone I know. We have been going to AAC since 2014 and have recommended to many friends who have also had great experiences there. The people are extremely professional, the work they do is excellent and prompt, and they are reasonably-priced. We wouldn't go anywhere else.
These guys really couldn't have been nicer. I was quoted an insane price for a bumper repair in order to pass inspection, and these guys were so awesome at both evaluating what absolutely had to be done and getting my car in and out on a busy Friday. Can't say enough good things about these guys, would absolutely be my first stop for a quote for a repair in the area.

This is the"local garage" of days gone by when a customer will get service with a smile. They are so helpful in explaining to you what the issues with your vehicle are, you don't have to have any mechanical skills, but you will get what the problem is.
They don't try to upsell you, they explain what is needed and what can wait.
Honesty is rare to find now a days in a mechanic, but it sure seems to be their moto.
Old time service with all modern equipment and skills make them a place I can highly recommend!
OUTSTANDING SERVICE! We turned up at 6.05pm on a Friday night with loss of power steering, warning battery and brake lights and the need to set off on a two-hundred mile journey first thing Saturday morning. Steve and his guys were shutting up shop but immediately offered to take a look. They fixed the problem there and then and didn't even charge us because it was such a minor fault (a missing bolt). Honesty, kindness, human understanding...oh, and they fix cars really well too. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!
Terrible service. Rude and unaccountable. Can't even be bothered with customers asking when a car is done. Not honest.....we found out later it costs much less somewhere else ...Brought our car there to change brake pads because they are close by but obviously, they say other stuff needs to be done. Left the car afternoon the day before and told them we need the car back by noon next day. They did not tell us they have loaners. When I called to ask when the car will be done. They can not give an answer. They are definitely not upfront or honest and have bad communication. The person answering the phone was plain rude and the worst I have seen. Terrible service. I would stick with the dealership with better service and accountability for what we paid. If you have been in the business so long, you should be able to estimate how long something takes. What happened was....they probably didn't get started until I called them. Just not honest and annoying to work with. They even got short and impatient with us Just for asking when the car is done.
My car was starting to shake when I braked at higher speeds. When I researched reviews of auto centers in the area Advance Auto had multiple good reviews so I thought this was a good starting point.
They were able to look at my car the same morning I called and it only took them about an hour to diagnosis the problem.
Steve, the owner, explained to me that my rear brake pads needed to be replaced and that my front and rear rotors needed to be reshaped/resurfaced (not sure of the accurate term). It would cost approximately $500.
I scheduled the work to be done the following morning and Steve offered me a loaner car while they completed the work. I left his shop feeling confident I had found a good place to have my car fixed.
On my drive home I decided to stop at the GMC dealership to have them give me a second opinion; they were right down the street, so I thought, "why not". I knew they would probably be more expensive, but I thought it was worth them taking a look.
To my surprise, they had me come into the garage to physically show me that my brake pads and rotors did not need to be replaced. They showed me the tool they use to measure when the pads need to be replaced. Their inspection showed "4mm life left for front and rear brake pads."
I had all four tires replaced the week prior. The mechanics at the dealership said the "shaking" I felt was from the tires being bolted on too tightly. Sure enough, after a test drive on the highway my car was back to driving normal.
I know there is always a risk of any auto body shop being dishonest and taking advantage of their customers. In this case, I feel that is exactly what they were trying to do.
The owner came across as being very customer-service oriented, but was in fact, dishonest. Do not be fooled by the friendly and accommodating attitude.
Excellent! They were very efficient and provided great customer service all from the shop mechanics to the owners. I would recomend to anyone and everyone. Wish I had used them prior since I have had a fair share of bad experiences in other shops. They got my truck up and running within less than 24 hrs. I am sending friends and family there from now on. You will not be dissapointed. They are honest and have very reasonable pricing. Great experience in an industry that is known for questionable practices. Very happy to know that there are still good mechanics out there.
These guys were amazing and really understand customer service. Called in the morning to get a 60K checkup and they took me the same day and offered to drive me home and pick me up (they also offer free loaner cars).
They explained everything in detail and suggested I hold off on a couple of things to keep my bill at a reasonable amount. They completed the work the same day.
They were professional, friendly and prompt. I was impressed... they have earned a new customer.
