Seems we are always running errands and simply out of time, all the time... I'm sure it's not a singular phenomenon Haha. Well I mentioned we need that oil change, remember the great service we absolutely didn't stop talking about 6 months ago. We literally just pulled in.
Well this is not an exaggeration; on the spot Andy with a trusting smile said keys please, and is this your wife's car! Oh I'm old ole school old fashioned, poking my noise to check out the under carriage and Leo is multi tasking on air pressure and check over on tires... I'm noisy like that. I was simply thinking, they are with us for life. True story, you can ask my wife how great it feels to ABSOLUTELY TRUST a mechanic and his office.
It's the best TGIF (and I add) starter of a wonderful New England weekend to come. Bonus: They are PATRIOTS fans.

I just left Lowell Auto Service and I’m extremely impressed! The service I received was outstanding. I had all four tires changed, my oil replaced, and the state inspection done, along with balancing—and the price was very fair. The staff was professional and efficient, and I truly feel confident in the work they did. I have no regrets about choosing this place and will definitely recommend it to my friends. My wife needed an oil change and I called a Google reviewed establishment and set an appointment for 2 days away. Ran errands later in the day and she mentioned she used this place before and was happy with the service. We met a cordial employee, Igor who directed us immediately to John, the MOD, so I questioned him. I'm a stickler for price and service and don't give 5*'s unless the service and pricing are stellar. The painfully obvious question was pricing on synthetic which, like ice cream, John brought understanding. He also personally completed the vehicle inspection sticker for us. The next level of excellence goes to Igor. A smile, good decent conversation and NASCAR all the way down to tires outside of the bay for the touchdown and 2 point conversion service. I can't explain it better in feelings people. End stop and we will be back, consider us Lifefers now.
I randomly went to this shop for a routine inspection when I first moved to Lowell, and have been a returning customer ever since. Mike and the team are accommodating, straight forward, and have fair prices. Highly recommend!
Edit: WHERE DID MIKE GO?! He’s been gone for maybe a year now? After he left I brought my car back, however my car was returned to me with electrical panel issues (i dropped off my car for a different issue and was given another problem in return) they couldn’t figure out what had happened.
I am getting a new spot to take my car. Not the same place anymore. They changed my oil and a few weeks later the oil pan cover was dragging on the floor. I went in and they told me the screws weren't put on correctly and came off. Um you guys changed my oil and had a nerve to charge me for your mistake. Now they are trying to get me to do unnecesary repairs...Mike would never!!! Always get a second opinion with new owner.
I'm not sure what happened to a mechanic named John. When I went here recently to check my car, some spanish guy said my car had a valve gasket leak and it needs to be replaced. When I saw his computer screen the labour charge said "$45" and the part's price said " $85 " and he looked at me and said the entire cost would be around $1000. I think it's a scam, just be aware!
Great owners very professional. staff very thorough in checking your vehicle until recently I guess the guy at the front desk was too busy on his headset the whole time to care what the customer saying. I go in for an oil change I tell him my car was leaking fluid might be oil. The guy changes the oil tells me there's no problem so I leave. Come to find out the transmission fluid was mixing with the oil the oil was out of the car by time I was down the block in the car was overheating. the radiator and heater hose was loose. How do you not notice the oil and the transmission fluid is mixing together. Get that guy out of there he's not paying attention to the car or the customer
No not recommend went he a few weeks ago the new owner is nothing like Mike does not take pride in what he does like Mike did. he’s rude will not be coming back went to Mike for 3 years when I ask him to check my car that would not even take a few mins he did not . If Mike was there he would. MIKE IS NOT THE OWNER ANYMORE
I went there for inspection and it failed because of the rear window was tint and exhaust issue.
Fayssal (owner) said the exhaust might have a connection issue (then it would be simple to fix) or need a replacement. He said bring it any next day.
After 2 days I took it, on that day Andy was there. I told him everything and after examine he said that it's only a connection issue.
Altogether it's $100 (Tint,Exhaust) and got the passed inspection sticker.
They are honest and reliable. Any other fraud will say you need to change the whole exhaust system (which would be at least $ 250- $ 350).

Just got my inspection sticker from them. Very straightforward, quick, and nice! Couldn’t have asked for someone better for inspection. Others try to sell repair with inspection while this person does what he needs to do. Would definitely recommend and will be going back for inspection again!!
Mike was quick and professional with my inspection, and re-filled my tires days later for free after my dealership under-inflated them. Cannot recommend highly enough for fair prices and good service.
Mike is the best! Pricing is always resonable, and he's honest. He doesn't tack on extra, unnecessary things so he can charge you more. I've been going there for years and highly recommend them
Love them. Fast, honest, skilled, will help you when you’re in a car emergency without taking advantage, will help you find the most efficient fix for what’s going on. I’ve taken my Acura, a Toyota, a Ford hybrid, my daughters Nissan here for mechanical and maintenance issues big and small, they can do it all!
I went to Mike at Lowell Auto Service to get my Check Engine light and issue with the EVAP system leak. He fixed the engine check light and also checked and ran the smoke through my EVAP system. There was no leak, so he didn't have to fix anything. In the end, I asked him how much for his effort, and he said he didn't have to fix anything, so there was no charge!
I asked him if he was sure, and he said again there was nothing wrong with the car. So he won't charge me anything.
There is difficult to find people who can trust with your car. He is going to be my go-to person from now on.
I have been Mike's customer for years. I refer all my friends and family to him, and would highly recommend him to everyone. He is an honest mechanic, and does great work.
I am the fleet manager for a communications construction company. We have used Lowell Auto Service and Sales on several occasions. Whatever the issue they have done their best to get us in, troubleshoot, quote and repair our vehicles at a fair price. What a great team!

My friend suggested I go here to get one of my axles replaced. I stopped by and chatted with Mike. He gave me the price and when he'd be available to take in my car. Went in a few days later and he did a great job. Very knowledgeable and the price was right. I know where I'll be bringing my car next time it needs work. I definitely recommend here if you need work done to your vehicle. Bus/train station right across the street. Perfect.
The mechanic was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. I had a flat early in the morning, and they weren't fully open yet. I explained my dilemma and without hesitation he fixed my flat with a smile. The service was superb!!
I've tried shopping around for a better repair shop in Lowell, but my eyes always settled on Lowell Auto Service. This shop has served me for SIX YEARS to the best of my satisfaction and even my friends that I refer to Mike, come out happy and satisfied. If I able to give 0 star I would. Mike's over charge for the job... When I ask him about it, He jelled at me: " I don't have time If you don't like it.. Pay me and don't come back again." Very unprofessional. I came here because It near to my house. He always try to charge more than the job itself. He will corrected the price If I noted it. This time he went too far... Don't come to Lowell Auto Services because the price of the repair base on Mike's felling...
This review is soo overdue. But it's about time. I've been coming to Lowell Auto for about 4 years, through 3 vehicles. I've owned used cars for 15 years of my life so I've seen a good number of shops, and I've NEVER experienced the level of service, friendliness, care and honesty that I've seen at this place. AND at excellent prices, so good I've offered to pay more on occasion, and they always refused. Never mind this low star ratings, I have complete confidence they were in the wrong and were pissed they didn't get what they wanted. These guys are not like that, they're top notch and want continued business from loyal customers who they treat right. 10/10 will always recommend .
Went in for a sticker and my windshield had a crack. Instead of failing me he set me up with Riverside glass who were also fantastic and fast.
When I came back he rushed me in and did the inspection right away even though he was very busy.

Fantastic, efficient and reliable service. Mike is a true gentlemen and extremely knowledgeable. I am not from the area but was treated as though I lived across the street. The vehicle service and expertise is top notch but the hospitality alone will bring me back.
In the 5 plus years I have been going to Lowell Auto, they have never let me down. Mike is genuine, honest and extremely capable of any job. I've recently moved away from Lowell but will always bring my family vehicles to Mike at Lowell Auto. The best shop run by the most down to earth owner in Lowell.

Service by the Lowell Police Department. We were new the area a number of years ago and needed to find an honest. reliable mechanic who could take care of my Chevrolet and my wife's 20+ Year Old Jags (her "babies"). Mike fit the bill. During these years, Mike has always treated us fairly, never overcharged us and always communicated with us before he did anything that varied off of what he/I agreed needed to be done at a set price. If I needed a ride home, he'd let me know when he had a guy "in" the shop that could drive me there (about 2.5 miles away) so I didn't get stuck in the waiting room. When the job was done, either my wife (or I) would drive the other down to Mike's place to pick up the cars. So far, after >5 years, there's never been a repair job that didn't come back fixed. Or if the cost of repair didn't make economic sense, Mike would be honest and tell us. That, in itself, was worth his weight in gold bars (just kidding). I strongly recommend Mike and his crew for any repair job on practically any vehicle out there. He's "that good".....!
I had such a pleasant experience here. Usually mechanics are somewhat condescending and annoyed that I don't know much about cars but Mike was incredibly helpful and thoroughly explained everything that needed to get fixed on my Volvo, how much it would cost, and gave me lots of tips on maintenence. He was also very honest when my fiancé brought his Honda Civic in and told him it wasn't worth repairing. Not the best news to hear but he could've easily taken our money and made repairs anyways. Instead, he helped my fiancé learn about the process for applying for a car loan (which we've never done before) and talked at length about what type of car would suit his lifestyle best, as he drives a lot for work. Overall, I left feeling like my car was safe to drive, I understood what to look out for to avoid any other costly repairs in the future, and in a good mood because Mike is a nice guy! 10/10 would recommend to a friend.
