Few months back they charged $35 for Tire rotation and now charged $75 , more than double, it’s just labor no part involved , how come labor got expensive more than double and just for tire rotation even Tesla mobile service come at door step and charge $65
Drove on no brake pads for over a week for an appointment, then day of they say I'd need to wait "all day" to get them done after ive been waiting for 3h. I called midas and they have me for an appointment in 2h day of. I wanted to support local but I'm done being treated like this. I'm never going back
Love these guys. Prices are fair, service is quick and they are honest. Did a repair on my son’s car for less than half the cost of the dealer estimate.
Horrible mechanic didn't diagnose my problem correctly dismissed what I had to say replaced a sensor instead of doing proper diagnostics and charged me for an inspection sticker without asking
We recently moved to town. We asked several people who is the go to auto service station. The consensus was Main Street Service. We took our vehicle there and couldn’t be happier. Keep up the good work.
Very rude person at the front desk (possibly the owner) with subpar customer service skills. Does not seem to treat customers with appropriate levels of respect. You are better off going elsewhere to deal with people who value your business and will treat you with respect - just by looking at the reviews here, this seems to be a common theme with this establishment.
Poor quality work. Could not properly complete a routine brake job after 2 attempts. They do not keep records of their work and do not stand behind it. Customer service is very poor as well. Took my vehicle to a more qualified firm to completely replace all of the brake components that they supposedly installed, twice!!!
I went in with a check engine light on and turns out there was something wrong with my transmission. John told me that I would save money going to the dealership to get it fixed because of something that I don't fully understand. His integrity impressed me. I think most people probably would have just taken the job to make a buck even knowing that i could've saved money elsewhere. He's trustworthy
RAV4 for an oil change and to have the rear brakes checked. I also need my car inspected . When I returned to pick the car up I was hit with a $1400 bill and the inspection hadn’t been done. Had to drive all the way back in rush-hour traffic to get it done.
Took my Lincoln in to have it looked over and in to get the oil changed. I was told that it needed at least $1400 on the rear brakes. It kind of struck me that $1400 was the popular pricing with the station,
I decided to take the Lincoln into another garage for a second opinion on the rear brakes . They were not needed! In fact, I needed a new tire rod on the right front. I knew of the tire replacement need, no mention of a tire rod was ever discussed or brought to my attention by this company. Not being a mechanic- I figure a tire rod is probably important. No alignment was brought to my attention either. As a woman I find this highly discouraging. I expect to be treated honestly when dealing with local businesses. As a local business owner I can say reputation is everything.
Great, locally owned repair shop. The owner is funny. He can be gruff, but he is a great guy. They are honest and their prices are fair. They have never tried to up sell me. They are honest and minimize the expense.
Always great service. Fair and honest. I once brought a car in there fully expecting to have to replace the power steering pump. That would have been a fairly significant investment. As it turns out, it was only the belt. They correctly diagnosed this and fixed it for way less than I was expecting :-)

Nice clean location. Convenient with plenty of parking. They have been around for a very long time. Nice and friendly staff. I went in for an Inspection sticker and overall service was great.
The owner John is an amazing guy. I recommend Main Street to anyone who asks. Great prices, and honest, nice people. Give them your business, you won't be sorry.
I asked for a check on the suspension as it seemed to be in need of shocks or struts. I expected a huge bill but instead I was told that they are good for a while longer and to return in 6-12 months. I can wait. Thanks for being honest and customer friendly. Do they hold your hand? No, but car owners should not need this in 2021. A month earlier my brakes and rotors were replaced without a glitch and at a fair price. Thank you.
I have taken all of my cars and my kid's cars to John for the past 20 years (6 cars) I have always found them to be honest, trustworthy and reasonable. Always willing to give me an opinion, answers my multiple questions, keeps me up to date on maintenance, timely with repairs, flexible with scheduling and taking the time to do great work. Always friendly and professional. Wouldn't go anywhere else.

I am new to town, and love the town thus far, however I refuse to give my business to an establishment that cannot have the common decency and respect to hold a conversation without turning his back and walking away.

[ADDED after the "owners response"] - As I mentioned in my review Sir you (or your employee) walked away as I was speaking. You rudely and wisely said "I don't know what is wrong with your car, I am the same as you". Bottom line is the customer service was horrible. And CLEARLY you can see others have reviewed and commented on similar findings. It's important to treat others with respect, point and simple.
I've brought two different cars to Main Street Service Center recently, and both times I was satisfied with the work. They diagnosed and leak tested the AC system, recharged it and now my car has ice cold AC. I brought a second car for front axles, a tie rod, wheel alignment. The work was completely all in one day, and John phoned me promptly when the car was done.
If you have questions about cost estimates, they will always tell you ahead what the work will cost. Main St. Service may not be the least expensive shop in the area, but their pricing is fair and you get what you pay for.
While the service at Main Street Service Center is speedy their poor attitude toward their customers is incredibly disappointing. They are entirely inept when it comes to proper or even bearable customer service. Typically, I am not one to post reviews due to the fact that I believe they hardly ever improve anything, but today I find it necessary to leave a note. Today I visited their garage as I always do when it comes time to get my car inspected and not only was I turned away, but I was completely disregarded and was spoken to very rudely. As soon as I stepped out of my car I was told to leave. While I completely understand that they were unavailable during that time I found that their approach was indignant and unecessarily harsh. If you need to get your car serviced or need an inspection I recommend going to Lumber Street Auto Repair. They are much kinder and just as efficient and speedy as Main Street.
I bring all my cars to John and his team. Very professional. Honest. Fair pricing. I look for a place that I don't need to worry about being taken advantage of and Main Street Service Center is that place.
I have always been impressed with the honest professionalism I find at Main Street. I trust what I am told is needed to fix our cars and it is never over inflated. I feel lucky to have Main Street Service as my “go to” place to take car of our families cars.
The shop has been maintaining our fleet of vehicles for 15 years. Prices are much more reasonable than dealers and we've never had any significant problems. The work needed is always communicated in advance and finished on time. Customer service is extremely consistent.
Any issues we have had, such as a leak in a mounted tire, have been addressed no charge, as well as not charging if a diagnostic doesn't reveal a specific root cause condition (one time failure to start). Vehicles serviced include volvo wagon, 3 nissans, vw jetta, jeep GC. They are also competitive with tires and got us some hard to get tires like Nokian.
Everyone I've delt with has been super kind and helpful. Been taking my CRV to them for a few years after a couple of terrible visits from my old place. They work around my schedule when they can and, on more than one occasion, have worked thing out so my bill comes out cheaper than was originally quoted to me. They make recommendations based on what's best for my car and the way my family drives it. Not based on what will make them more money. Highly recommended.
Due to working locally I came here to get my car inspected; it failed due to a balled tire (as I expected). I got the tire fixed and came back a few days later.
On arrival everyone was on lunch break, which is all fine, everyone deserves to eat. The frustrating part is driving 30 min to get my car reinspected to wait 30 min for everyone to come back to not be the first in line. I ended up waiting almost an hour.
When telling the gentleman I had been waiting so long, he replies, "we always go on lunch at that time." If this is true, post this in your hours, so people don't waste an hour+ of their day off waiting.
I was then told to move my car to get "in line." While there is a sign it is still not very clear. There was no direction given and when I asked, they responded as if I was the most inconvinent thing that had happened to them all day.

I was with my friend when she went to get her inspection sticker, so when "looking in your records", you will not find my information. After what I witnessed, in a short amount of time, I am assured that I will never bring my car here. They are unprofessional and impolite and have horrible customer service skills.

Told me the problem before even looking. Granted this was only a flat tire, told me it would just need some air. I don't like people who jump to conclusions before even looking at it; wonder if they assess all cars that way. Very expensive to plug a tire $25; go somewhere else. Should really cost 10-15$.
Love Main Street Service. Have been going there for more then 10 years. They always do a great job, their prices are fair and you can trust them. They go above and beyond. I'll never take my car anywhere else.
