This was my first time going and employees gave clear instructions, helped move heavy carts, and overall were very efficient. I was in and out in 10 min. I’ll be back if I have more scrap.

I got a bad feeling after not weighing my scrap wire in advance so I decided to weigh at home.
They took 44lbs off the MC I brought, and even 4lbs off the bright copper.
Basically kept 25% for themselves.
Guys, if you're not making enough just give worse exchange rates but be honest about weight.
This place is amazing. The first time we went we really had no clue how anything worked, but each different employee we talked to was super friendly and helpful and made sure we had a good experience. More than a year later, we just went again and had exactly the same efficient, attentive service. If you are trying to get rid of scrap metal, don't be intimidated - just go to Scrap It! Plus it's super cool to see the big claw machine moving big piles of metal around.
My husband goes there all the time! Fantastic staff; at the ready to help with whats needed.If a problem arises they're there to help. They also have the best prices around for scrap and plenty of bins to carry your haul. Would definitely recommend.
First time doing something like this, was getting rid of some light iron, the workers were super nice, every interaction felt pleasing and welcoming, recommend this place if you need to get rid of random metal like your Amazon bed frame!
The city of Peobody wanted to charge me $60 take my broken washing machine and dryer. These guys paid me $30 to have my broken washer and dryer. win-win.
Dealt with Stephen (in his first week there) exceptionally polite, all my experiences have been positive, people are helpful. One of the best run scrap yards around.

Honest and efficient. This was a one-time event for me. I had some old copper tubing that I wanted to get out of my garage. I got a good price and was in and out in under 10 minutes.
Been working with them for years!

These people just robbed me. They screwed me on weight and price of metal. I had about 25 brass backflow preventers, well over 400 pounds, plus copper run offs. why not write the weight on the receipt instead of being sneaky and just coming out with a price you choose. Also have a guy that knows what metal is when ringing up the prices, I got charged full iron and not brass. Crooks.
The only place we bring our scrap metal to. You have many options in that area to scrap however you won’t find anyone as fair and honest as Scrap It. Very well maintained facility. I highly recommend them.

Okay I usually never write a review for a place I’ve only been once. But I just had such a good experience here for a young idiot who’s never been scrapping before. I pulled up to scrap 8 old brake rotors. There was a line trucks in front of me with loads of scrap metal (old dishwashers, machinery, etc.). There was a lot of trucks pulling into their yard, but everyone was working and moving so quickly. I asked one of the workers there where exactly to go because I’ve never been here before. He asked me what I was scrapping, and he said because it was so only a small amount I could just park in the back and bring it right inside. I dropped the rotors in a bin right next to their entrance, and one of their workers quickly weighed it for me , and gave me a cash slip. Brought the cash slip to the literal next room over, got my cash real quickly and was on with my day. Even in the middle of a busy day in Everett I was in and out of there within 15-20 minutes. Amazing experience! Shout out to all the hard workers here at Scrap-It!
This company is well organized and pays well. I have been using them for over a decade and have never had any problems. We have a 40yd scrap it container on site. It is emptied any time we call and the drivers are courteous and pick up any loose material. The second street yard is wild but they pay and weigh with all your weights shown to you upon receipt. I have never had to question the weights all is legitimate. I am very happy with this company!
