I listed the car for private sale the following week after visiting the business and it sold in 24 hours for ~$6,000 more than their offer (nearly 50% more) after receiving 20+ messages from interested parties in 24 hours.
Their offer did not reflect the vehicles market value at all, even though they tried to convince me it did, and that KBB was inaccurate, and even spun up a mistruth about my vehicle having "significant body work," which simply was not the case, as it was very well-maintained and looked after, and had zero accidents or damage.
It's definitely worth looking into private sale before taking their offer (I'm very glad I did), you may get thousands of dollars more!
Updated edit based on their reply: The "extensive mechanical repairs" was actually one visit to the dealership. And what they mean by "their records indicate" is actually that the there were documents provided to them up front entirely by me to show that the very common turbo seal issue in ’16-’18 model years was corrected with a full engine and turbo replacement ($18,000 of parts and labor all done by Infiniti). They gave me their low-ball offer prior to learning this information, and told me clearly over the phone that it did not impact their valuation one bit, so they would have been happy to give me thousands under market value regardless, though I suppose it is convenient to try to imply that it does.
This vehicle had ZERO mechanical issues. A turbo seal failure (recalled by Garrett/Honeywell, and covered under warranty, with FULL documentation provided) was fully repaired by Infiniti USA under warranty. I was told over the phone that this would not affect the value at all, and as you can see from the business reply, that is untrue apparently.
Updating based on business reply is not updating to retain visibility or furthering an agenda, as I gain nothing from it, I implore you to use logic and reason when possible. I was polite and courteous as much as possible, but it is important to to be transparent about experiences

I spent a fair amount of time shopping around calling several online dealers (Carmax, Cargurus, cars.com, Wheelsie, We buy cars, etc.) and visiting some local dealers as well. I had several offers on my 11 year old BMW, but Boston Car Buyers clearly had the best offer and one of the easiest sales processes. I got a verbal offer over the phone from Charlie, then drove the car down and was in and out in about 20 minutes. Shop around if it makes you feel better but Boston Car buyers beats everyone! We had a 2020 Mercedes GLC 300 that we drove out from CA and were having trouble selling for it's correct value as it did not have all wheel drive and we learned that is an important feature for a car in this region.
