Nobody cares about their contract with the city of Springfield. They need to learn how to drive on the road to follow the rules of the road they have. They definitely almost hit me and my child on the I 291 highway.

CJ’s workers at their office are horrible. They treat customers like nothing…. They yell at people and throw costumers out side in the heat when they are not ready…horrible service.

They have customer windows that are one sided. They can see you. You can't see who you are passing money or PRIVATE information to. You hear lots of voices, but see no one. They make you walk in and out 5 times. You need this amount of money. You check your accounts, set up the money. Walk back in and then they say, you need to find a tow company to take the car. They ARE a towing company. But not for us. The accident people. My son was in a horrific accident. We live 2 hours away. Is this legal for a company to block people from seeing inside.

These people are thieves, they towed my truck and they didn't even call my company after towing till I went to grab my license, that's when I found out. $1851 .10 for bobtail. 12 miles total. I found out 1 signal light was not working they were busy denying that they didn't touch it. Have been towed before for 20 miles with a loaded trailer for $800. Don't even truck to bother calling them if u break down. They're crooks cowards

I paid for the tow with my debit card and then I got a charge on my card the next day at a restaurant I didn't go to. They had taken my card information down when I paid for the tow. Fairly certain the driver or someone else that worked here just stole my card info. Kind of insane if you ask me. Don't go here.

Clyde did great! He had a positive attitude, got to my car within 20-30 minutes and had it loaded up in another 5 minutes. Hopefully I won't need to call back but I'd call him again if needed. Lol

They are now coming into all the housing authorities with all lights off, signaling each other basically to steal your cars. Even if you have SHA parking permits! Just witnessed them doing this at 3:55am. Have video and photo proof!

My car was towed by CJ's at the Springfield Police Department's request after an accident on August 8, 2024. CJ's treated us courteously and professionally. Before towing from the accident scene, the tow driver allowed me to take extra time to search for a missing item in my car. When I called CJ's the next morning to ask for the release procedure, I was given an accurate price and clear instructions. When I went to get my car the next morning, they processed me in about 15 minutes. I then had my car towed to a nearby collision repair center. CJ's price for that second tow was the lowest compared to 2 other local towing companies. They even let me get a couple of items from my car before the tow to the collision repair center. I was pleased with the experience with CJ's, especially considering that I had not chosen CJ's when my car was initially towed.

Hello everyone, I want to talk about the Definition of GREAT customer service. My family had a car towed by CJ's towing and it was a nightmare. We encountered Helen Wetmore at the customer service window, she not only allowed me to vent but she remained calm professional and extremely empathetic to our situation. She continued reassuring my parents and I that we had her and CJ's support if I had any questions or if I needed guidance regarding next steps. I have not had alot of experience with towing services but in a time where people have forgotten how to treat people with respect and speak to customers with kindness and dignity, Helen's customer service skills were exemplary and on full display today. Helen has renewed my faith in what customer service should and can be in the face of adversity. Helen, while I may not know you personally you define professionalism and are the example and highest standard of what customer service should be. I am lucky to have encountered you today and CJ's is very lucky to have employees like you there. Thank you for making a very unpleasant experience worth enduring and making CJ's a place worth doing business with.

This is absolutely a rip-off company unfortunately partnered with Springfield Police department. My car blew a head gasket Literally 0.3 miles from my mom's home. My car was still drivable and I could have easily driven it down the street. As an out-of-town visitor Springfield Police department dispatch this company 2 tow my car even though I had AAA. I had no choice. They charged me $205 to tow it 1/2 block. Then threatened to keep my car because I disputed them for charging me for 12 miles instead of the 0.3 miles that they actually towed me.. the driver told me that they charge the mileage based on where they came from to pick me up and to where they would have to drive back to. The driver was Billy badass knowing that he had my car hooked up and I could not do anything about it with the police being there so I was basically strong-armed to pay on site or have my car towed to their garage at a 35.00 a day storage plus mileage

If I could give them 0 stars I would. Extremely rude. Tried towing my car while I was changing. Told them if he right there and they back up fast and hooked it. Couldn’t even wait 2 mins. Then they charged almost $200 just to “unchain it” and threatened to call police if papers weren’t signed. All caught on dashcam because car was on and running.

I wanted to share how professional and courteous they are! My Mom's car was towed after a minor accident and the staff in the office are so kind and helpful on the phone and also when we went to pay her storage bill. It's never a good time when you have an accident or get your vehicle towed for any reason, it's stressful, but they were great!! Even the young man who walked us out to our vehicle to get the garage door remote was sweet. Thank you all!

Our vehicle was rear-ended while stopped at a traffic light by a driver who left the scene, leaving quite a mess. Thankfully we were not injured. The vehicle was unable to be driven and towed by CJ’s Towing Unlimited Inc. During an understandably stressful situation, the tow truck driver, “K” arrived quickly, was professional, very friendly, and quite skilled in removing the vehicle safely from the scene to their storage facility. At the business office, behind the protective mirrored glass, “J” presented a pleasant and calming demeanor, providing knowledge and valuable insight, informing us of the process and journey we were about to begin post-accident. Although we could not see her, we could feel the smile in her voice as she made the effort to reduce our stress and improve our day. During subsequent telephone calls to her, we wish our insurance carrier provided the guidance and information as well as she. “C” in the storage yard, was most helpful and respectful in recovering valuables from the stored vehicle. In what could have been a completely impersonal and transactional service, these three employees recognized the human element in customer service and cared ‘for’ as well as ‘about’ us…and at a fair price. Service, Quality, and Value. We could not have asked for more.

money hungry towing these guys are ruthless and have no conscience. they don't care if you have kids or are handicapped they'll tow you without remorse. They represent despise and disgusting business practices. who ever runs this place should be ashamed of there company, employees and hold themselves 100% responsible for the trashy business they own. The things that hide behind the bullet proof glass must be straight up from hell. I don't think you can find worse.

Worst customer service you could imagine, staff in background talking trash about customers saying are you stupid when they were accused of damaging the car, highly unprofessional and disrespectful, locked the steering wheel knowing there was an issue with key, shoved a screwdriver into ignition to move car off their truck, overheard lady ask what he did to start it. When I told them I heard them they responded “it’s not our fault” so we had to find a tow even though it was operable before they touched it. They enjoy taking peoples vehicles, laugh and talk trash to the customer.

Worst towing company in the city! Drivers are extremely disrespectful, and they don’t listen when you tell them to deliver to one specific address. The driver told me he was delivering it to my house and I waited and waited and when I call CJ‘s going they told me they took it to the lot On top of that they lie about their prices! One time they charge me about $115 for a certain distance and a few months later I needed a tow that was a shorter distance and the price wasn’t insanely higher

My car died unexpectedly while passing through Massachusetts and Kevin from CJ's really saved the day for me. Towed my car all the way to my local mechanic in Rhode Island. He was incredibly friendly and professional and made a unfortunate experience far more bearable. Very pleased with the service I received!

Whomever the "woman behind the counter" is, is incredibly rude. I went here because my car was unfortunately stolen and when it was picked up this is where the city brought it. Never having experienced this before, I was admittedly not educated on the whole process. As I explained this, she was clear in that she didn't care at all. Mocked me in some of my more "stupid" questions. She had a hard time pulling up my information and argued with me that my car was picked up in an accident when it was not. Very dismissive when I offered suggestions on how to find my name as it's not a common last name. I think the fact that the glass at the counter is basically black and you can't see through it has made her feel very comfortable in her terrible attitude and rude behavior. She made the whole (already awful) experience for me that much worse. Not sure what's happened to kindness in the world, but it certainly doesn't exist at this business.

If I could do ZERO STARS I would.. The soulless/heartless very rude and disrespectful things that work behind that mirror.. Feel that they can treat people like that because they're behind a two way mirror, and you can't see them. That's bad business right there. You should be able to look at the person you're talking to and giving your money to. I wouldnt be surprised if someone decided to waited around for them to get out of work.. PLZ USE ANOTHER TOW COMPANY. Id rather push my car then have this business tow my car. If you can even call it a business..

City of Springfield has a contract with these thief and corrupt company. allowing this company to over charge people and not allowing civilians to choose another towing company. they keep charging you storage fees even after destroying your vehicle. Disgusting company practices. Also when you ask for a receipt of the balance and pick up date. They say they don’t have give you a receipt of any kind but are quick to still tell you the balance. This Company needs to be investigated. True honest review. Plenty of proof.

It's never a pleasant day when you have to release your car from the clutches of a towing company, but CJ's staff makes that unpleasant day as pleasant as it possibly could be! Their wit, kindness, and understanding had me smiling the whole time I was at their office. Since my car had been stolen and partially destroyed, they reduced my bill as much as they could without me asking. They even gave me a list of inexpensive towing companies so I could get my nonfunctional car off the premises! Their customer service went above and beyond. I hope you never need your car towed. But if you do, I hope CJ's is the company you call.

Very disappointed with the service. The"lady" at the front desk was very rude and had the nerve to very sarcastically ask my husband if he even had $ to get his car out of the lot. His car was stolen and he never got a call notifying him that they had the car and in just less than 3 hours we owed two storage days. Smh I hope we never have to deal with them again.

After being stranded in a breakdown lane for almost 5 hours thanks to a AAA. And Interstate Towing no show, we called CJs towing. The customer service was amazing. The woman answering the phones had great communication with us, keeping us updated. The driver was there in 15 minutes. It was seemly. The crew was compassionate. I’d give them 10 stars if possible. Thank you all!

CJ's towed my car after an incident. They explained to me how I could be reimbursed for the cost through AAA. The tow truck driver was quick to get the car out and on the trailer. CJ's has always done an awesome job every time I have used them. I saw some complaints about customer service but I experienced amazing customer service. CJ's made the whole process smooth and stress free given the circumstance.

This place is AWFUL. Called at 4am after an accident and spoke to a young man who had attitude because I didn't know if the police had given him contact info. Rudest customer service I've ever seen and it didn't stop there. The lady working at desk 3 with the terrible attitude needs a reality check and she's lucky I didn't give it to her. No compassion or respect for anyone. You'd think if you'd just been in your first car accident you'd be met with someone who is kind understanding and patient. I guess that's way too much to ask. Asked to simply get something out of the car that had been towed and was met with rudeness and unnecessary information about his insurance. I didn't ask for any of that information, we didn't need it as we were already in contact with the insurance. Only showed insurance information because that's what we were told they needed for him to retrieve anything out of the car. Didn't need nor ask about coverage but thanks for letting us know and then asking if he was at fault after the fact you let us know our insurance didn't cover it. He was not at fault by the way so that changes things doesn't it? Thanks for the info we never needed. It's a problem when you have to tell staff that attitude is not necessary. Someone better put these people in check and let them know there's other jobs out there hiring that don't have to do with customer service and maybe someone higher up should say something to the rude staff instead of sitting around letting it happen. Will never recommend this place and would have never been an option if it weren't for the police calling them for a tow from the accident.

Very crooked business. There business goes unchecked since they have the Springfield city contract. They will gouge you since they can. Additionally, you have to feel like a caged animal in their office since the one way windows surrounding you allow them to see you but not you to see them. This allows them to just take off if you make a request they are too lazy to accomplish (ex. I want to speak to the driver to tell him where to drop off my car since I won't be present when he drops off). The 24 hour extra storage fee can also be slammed on you if they don't feel like towing your vehicle out of there for you in a timely manner. Last words with the woman behind the manner were, "Prove to me I can't take pics of my car (that I have paid my bill on) in your parking lot for insurance." Woman: "I don't have time for this," while she fades out, presumably walking away.

People are not going to believe this, but every word is the truth. It amazed me too, yet here's what happen.This company was called to tow my vehicle by my insurance company because my daughter and my granddaughterwhere stranded due to a flat tire today (10/6/2017) with my car I needed to walk to the site and it took me approx. 1.5 hours. The driver had arrived 10 minutes before me. Due to time constraints, the dealer originally selected was closing and therefore we needed to go somewhere else to repair. I explained this to the tow driver but he refused to take the car anywhere else. I then called my insurance company and they told me it didn't matter where we went to repair and the driver shouldn't have refused. She also told me they where charging $52 more than the usual rate. I paid the $52 to the driver and turned to pick up my purse and the driver took off leaving me, my daughter and my 4 year old granddaughter on the curb. I was blown away! He knew we had no means to get home because my daughter told the driver this. I got a phone call 5 minutes later from my insurance company saying the towing company called them and wanted a additional $30 because the driver had to wait because I had to contact my insurance company, and if I didn't pay it they would lock my car in their lot until it was paid. I was again, blown away. This company leaves us on the side of the road and now are demanding I pay for time the driver wasted!! My insurance company was beyond embarrassed and couldn't believe what I was telling them. This was probably the worst experience to date for my family. My insurance company is filing a claim against them and I will be taking steps to make certain they never do this to anyone else ever again.

I had a good experience with them. Everyone was polite and respectful and they explained everything I needed to know about the situation clearly. I had no questions after they were done. The employees that I dealt with there are knowledgeable and experienced. I noted that people came into the place and they are very emotional because they've been in an accident, they had their car towed, or because they didn't follow the rules and now they had to deal with it. The employees have to be firm with people from time to time because they don't appear to be listening. Perhaps they think if they raise their voice and/or pester them they will get a different answer. Either way, the rudeness I saw their came from customers not the staff.

Terrible experience. The people there are rude and have no idea what they are doing. I was in an accident on the highway. My car was towed there by the state police, who told me I could take my belongings out of the car. The woman at the counter made me wait for ten minutes before even answering. Then she was very rude to me, and told me, "we are not the police, and you can't have ANYTHING out of the car." There were ways to get my belongings, but she did not want to take the time to explain them to me. After I persisted, she said I could open a claim and get my insurance to fax the information. She did not explain what information and said, "it's not my job for you to know what paperwork you need." How else am I supposed to know what YOUR company needs? It took an hour and I was not able to get my belongings. She would not even let me take my house keys! So, after a lot of trouble for no reason, I had to return the next day to get my belongings after my insurance company and many forms were faxed. Then they managed to lose my car and have me wandering around in the cold looking for it, and they lost my keys! I had to wait an hour again for them to find out that someone had them in his pocket. Incredibly unprofessional.If you see this tow truck arrive, ask for someone else. If you have AAA like I do, do not let the police use this company.
