We had a puncture in our tire, and needed to travel the next day. They got us in within an hour or so and fixed the tire without issues at a fair price. Great trustworthy service, I brought my car in for the first time thinking I needed all 4 brake pads and rotors. They could have agreed and said I needed all 4 and I would have believed them and paid. Instead they told me I only needed the 2 rear. They also explained some other work I needed to get done and kept me updated throughout the day. The work was done promptly and they were very flexible with my schedule.
My car has been taken care of by Skillman for years. I am now leaving in BH, but still come back to them for service. Andy and his crews are really a wonderful team. Can’t say enough good things about them. They are very honest to their customers. They are super efficient and they are very knowledgeable. They are really the trustworthy ones.

I heartily recommend Skillman Services. Andy’s approach is extremely straight-forward, which I appreciate. He has an excellent system of communication, sending a link to a quick breakdown of their findings on inspecting the car with color-coded categories from least to most urgent issues, and then follows up with a phone call to discuss findings and plan of action (he called as I did not stay at the shop). He sends out another report and follows up again with another phone call after the work is completed. I felt informed and therefore able to make educated decisions without ever feeling pushed or rushed to make specific choices. All work was done in a timely manner and ballpark estimates on time to completion were accurate. I will certainly return and anticipate becoming a regular customer.

Andy and his crew have serviced 4 vehicles in that time period. honesty, integrity and follow through… these are just a few of the words that come to mind. I took my car to Skillman Services for an alignment and a few other odds and ends, because my regular mechanic doesn't do alignments and recommended them. It is a really nice shop: Andy is friendly, competent, and keeps his word. He also has a nice system where they send you updates on your job by sending links with photos and updates. For example, they showed me a rather surprising mouse nest they found in my ventilation system. I love my regular mechanic, but I will definitely use Skillman again and recommend them to all.
Skillman Services had my car in and out in under 48 hrs without a prior appt. I needed to get to my job and they made it happen! Price is comparable to most mechanic shops too. I highly recommend these guys!
Liked the service so much the first time, went back a second time to do some proactive maintenance. Had them check out the cooling system, belt, etc. and they repaired what was on its way out. Saved me some expensive repairs down the road. I highly recommend them.
Wanted someone I could trust to do the job right the first time. Did my research/homework and found that everything that was said was true. Quality work, nothing hidden, and explains it all in layman terms so you understand what needs to be done. When all was said and done, they did exactly what I needed, let me know what can/should be done in the future, nothing extra and most importantly to me, done in the time frame they quoted me. Ran over curb on Christmas and damage resulted in car having to be towed. I called as soon as the station opened and Andy had already looked over the problem. He got me a good price on good tires and kept me informed every step of the way. Very friendly and accommodating. Excellent work completed on time at good price.
My car’s serpentine belt broke, leaving me w/ no power steering or working alternator. Andy fixed it the next day, despite being super busy with a full schedule. He clearly explained what was wrong, showed me the seized up/broken pulleys and other parts. I felt my car was in excellent hands and I’m totally confident in the quality of the work.

In my initial review I said the $51 shop supply charge was exorbitant. Andy and I discussed this and I have a clearer understanding of what those charges are about. Drill bits, bolts, spray lubricants, miscellaneous hardware, etc. all add up. It now makes a little more sense. And even though I never asked him to, Andy went above and beyond and refunded the $51 to my card. So not only is he an excellent mechanic, he’s an excellent mechanic with class. Highly recommended.
When I needed a quick turnaround for my damaged flat tire, Skillman Services was able to replace my two rear tires, perform alignment and oil change, and have my car ready the next day. My vehicle has received high quality service and repairs for several years, and I rely on them to keep it in good working order.
I am so grateful to Skillman Services. I was recently stranded in MA after my car was damaged by a truck on the road and they were quick efficient and extremely fair with price. My car is good as new and I was able to drive all the way back to NJ with no problems. They were wonderful.
I had a problem with mice chewing wires, Andy and his guys did a great job finding the crewed wires and repairing them in no time! The cost was extremely reasonable and the experience was terrific. Skillman Svcs accepted my wife's car on a Monday, via AAA tow, and completed service by the following morning. They accommodated me without any inconvenience. A tire was repaired, an oil change done, fluids were topped off, the chassis was lubed,, and a multi-point inspection was performed. The cost of the service was very reasonable and less than I had estimated. The technician was fast, accurate, and efficient. Frequent updates and a final report, with recommendations for future work ranked via urgency,, were sent to my phone. Kevin, the manager with whom I spoke and whom I met that next day when picking up the car, was affable, knowledgeable, informative, and respectful. He reiterated what was most important concerning future repairs (rear brakes), a timeline for making the repairs, and what repairs could be safely postponed. I'll be using Skillman Services again for future maintenance and repairs.
