I get my inspection stickers here and they are always so friendly and quick. They are also great for parents because they have toys and books. Love using them!

I brought my car here today for an exhaust issue, an inspection sticker and an oil change. They were great! Fast and very fair price. I'm probably going to have to replace part of my exhaust but he fixed it for me for now so I didn't have to do it yet. Very honest people. I will definitely be using them for all my auto repair needs in the future. Thank you!

Cost effective repair ($266 for an evap system leak fix, $500 for serpentine belt + tensioner replacement) with incredibly fast turnaround times. For a 2005 Toyota Corolla, we've always gotten it back the next day.

Complete rip off joint. Do not go there! Charged me $100 for a simple oil change and tried to sell me tons of work my Jeep didn't need.

One of the best places to take care of your car. Fred the new owner is very honest and very knowledgable. Their prices are very fair and i was very happy with the service i got. I got rotors and pads, a complete tune up, wheel alignment, and an oil change all done quickly, my car drives like new now thanks to georgetown auto. This place is highly recommended, friendly, and they have a cozy waiting area.

This place is the best and perfect place to repair your car. They are very trustful and honest ( Honest to god as the owner is one of the most honest men ever), I visited him at his other place Mobil gas station near this place as he owned it too, and he has a gas station and garages there too. I have been dealing with him for over than 10 years, people come to him from all over the place and I mean it . I recommend everyone to visit him, I read a review, and with all my respect, that is not right to say about a good, honest, and truthful man. ( advice if u have any problem, give Freddy a call before posting things, please) I know dozen's of people that they have been dealing with him since he opened his business in Georgetown a long time ago. thank you thank you Freddy you are the best.

Georgetown auto repair (formerly Bobs auto repair) Went in for a synthetic oil change and alignment. Dropped the car off for 2.5 hrs. Mike tried to call me several times because the bolts on the tires all needed to be replaced and he couldn’t do alignment.. ok fair. I came back, he explained he tried to call and couldn’t do alignment but did oil change. He then explained that he replaced my Cabin air filter because “it was dirty”.. 177$ later. (92$ for oil change, $28 for filter and 45$ in labor, then tax) I did NOT ask for that service, I have JUST had it replaced a few months back from Subaru. Total BS. Will never go back and I don’t recommend going there unless you want to be taken advantage of.

Def good knowledgeable mechanics … communication is poor at best … possibly on purpose … wouldn’t have gotten my vehicle repaired had I known it was going to cost 2500 for damaged exhaust…!I don’t doubt the quality or craftsmanship … however I paid almost as much as my car is worth and would’ve considered trading it in… was told it would’ve cost over 7gs for the job at the dealer… which if it is true is Irrelevant as I don’t have even the money for the job what was done… end of day ASK FOR THE WUOTE IN WRITING…

Good mechanic. If you want to pay more than anywhere else he will do you right. If you care a bit about your money, stay FAR away. (Reply) I am aware you are skilled and appreciate that. Unfortunately, I requested a specific thing assuming the specific thing was ALL your shop would do. Both times, more was done. Your price for what you did is not horrible, being charged for something we did not want is not a pleasant feeling. The first time was bad so this time I spent an additional 5 minutes making sure we were on the same page. Sadly, we were not.

Easy to deal with. If you're used to a mechanic that can properly diagnose and repair your car, this is a place you will want to consider.

Is it right when an automotive shop will accept a job knowing what it may be and then decline to do work and threats of court if they share their expierence with others? Oh not to mention threats of charging for storage? This place is old and past its prime if it had one. UPDATE TO THIS REVIEW!!! The owner has called me a 12 year old. Is that professional at all?

My husband and I were coming home from Canada from our 1 year anniversary trip that didn’t go as we expected so we were pretty bummed driving back. We were an hour and 40 minutes from getting home and my car started to overheat my husband looked up mechanics near us and that’s where we stumbled across Bob we told him our story and my cars story he explained everything in such fine detail about what was going on with my car he had a lot of cars to work on and he took his time with us and made sure we would be safe for the remainder of our trip when I went to pay he said you don’t owe anything Bob honestly you were the highlight to our trip I can’t thank you enough for getting us home safely I am glad my car chose Georgetown to break down in so we could cross paths if you need a mechanic who is certified and super knowledgeable Bob is your guy!

We moved to the area a few years and started bringing our cars to Bob's Auto Repair. We bring our Subaru and Rav4 for everything. All the routine stuff, Inspections, oil changes, brakes, tire rotations. We also have them find and fix those annoying problems like noises that are hard to figure out and you aren't sure if it is minor or major. They are very professional, friendly, timely, and fairly priced. It's great having a local business that I completely trust.

Made an appointment for inspection sticker. When arrived was told the technician was at a doctor's appointment and would be back any minute. Waited a half hour and then left when no one showed up.

Bob Alderman is an honest and highly skilled mechanic. I have been going to him for many years and have learned to appreciate having someone like him take care of the vehicles in my home and for my children as well.

Took me in when I was in a pinch out on the hiway. Never had done business with before. Didn't gouge me when some others may very well have taken advantage.

Very friendly and knowledgeable. Did a great job on all 3 of our cars. Charlie the mechanic took the time to explain everything in detail. Would definitely recommend!

I would advise absolutely NOBODY support this crooked man. I dealt with Bob himself for years, thru 2 cars, confident that he was providing honest and reliable service. I'm sure most of these reviewers are blindly believing the same, thinking he's a good, honest man. WRONG. A year after buying my Nissan Xterra from a dealership, I brought it to Bob to get an inspection sticker (the 3rd car I personally brought to him, and 5th in my immediate family). When I went to pick up my car, I was informed by Bob that it had failed inspection and was needing $1164 in front end work (something to do with my front axle, wheel, etc... things I was quite unfamiliar with). He then, very fluidly offered to get started on the repairs, expecting me to agree as I had trusted and dealt with him for years. I had taken very good care of my car since bought, and had a hard time understanding how it could need something so costly only a year after buying it in mint condition. So I told him I wanted to hold off on the repairs. Then, I drove my Xterra down to the Nissan dealership in Beverly, and asked them to look at it and gave them the info about my front end, fearing it may be unsafe to drive as I was told that by Bob. I got a call back from Nissan later that day, and they told me (word for word) "sir, there is absolutely nothing wrong with your front end. We put a foglight bulb in, and that's the only thing it needed to pass inspection. That's going to be $12, plus the inspection fee." That's right, Bob, at Bob's Auto, Georgetown Ma, tried to charge me $1164 for "front end work, making my car unsafe to drive" that was completely non existent. This happened a couple years ago, and I did everything I could to make this known, including reporting to the better business bureau. But nothing was actually done and he is still there, most likely charging his loyal, trusting customers for work that is never needed or done. Please, do yourself a favor and DO NOT support this man. This was my personal experience, and I have absolutely no reason to lie about any of it. I would very likely still be a loyal customer, had I not figured this out! It made me furious that someone I had trusted and taken at his word for years had betrayed my trust to such an extent. Never in a million years would I consider returning to this scam artist. If you value your hard earned money and your sense of trust for fellow humans, do yourself a favor and get your work done elsewhere! Again, I have no reason to spend my time making any of this up, this is for your benefit. Take my advice or don't, it really makes no difference to me. I just want to save others from being lied to and cheated, not everyone is who they seem to be on the surface.

I completely trust Bob and his team and highly recommend Bob's Auto Repair for any and all vehicle needs. Between myself, my wife, and my daughter, we have 4 vehicles, all of which have been to Bob's, and more than once. Bob did an absolutely amazing job of restoring my oldest car (1988 Mustang) to proper running condition - not an easy proposition considering many parts he needed are no longer factory available. This particular job included such things as distributer, oil pan, various wires and hoses, among other things. I can't say enough about how much work went into this and how professional he is. A variety of repairs have also been performed on our other vehicles as well - always flawless, within reasonable time spans, and well priced. Bottom line - if your car needs mechanical attention, this is where you should be taking it to.

Ran into a situation the other afternoon. I left the DMV in Haverhill with two kids only to discover that my SUV was leaking oil, a good amount at that. Quickly I realized that Bob's Auto was about 15 minutes away. I drove over and arrived around 4:40. I felt somewhat rude for coming so late and with, what I considered to be an emergency. Without hesitation or frustration and with a vehicle already on one lift, Bob told me it wasn't a problem and they'd throw it up on the lift and check it out. Fifteen minutes later Bob came into the office and told me I was all set and my oil filter was loose. A week prior I brought my vehicle to Ford for an oil change. I'm not a mechanic but I am assuming that mechanic failed to tighten the oil filter. At any rate, Bob topped off my oil, tighten the filter, informed me that I had a very small oil leak. But what really impressed me is that he told me the reason my abs light was on was due to a broken tone ring. That showed me that he checked the vehicle quickly yet thoroughly to ensure we'd be safe. I asked him what I owed him and he replied, " your all set, you do not owe me anything." This is not my first time at Bob's but I am also not a regular as I live a little to far away. With that said, any major repairs or repairs that done wrong could threaten the safety of my children or self, will be done by Bob and his crew only. One of the best around....By far!!

I dropped my car off Sunday night with out calling them beforehand. I called at 8 am on monday morning and they asked me when I was expecting it back. I said I didn't call before I dropped it of so if not until tomorrow no problem. The response was" I just need to know if you needed it by noon or something, we will have done today" they are awsome.

Highly Recommend Bob's Auto! My 1998 Subaru has 260K miles and is running great thanks to Bob and his staff of mechanics. They are experienced, thorough, really care and stand behind the work they do. Casey is always there to call you with updates & keep you informed. Bob and his entire staff are friendly experts keeping your car in top shape no matter how old, new or anywhere in between. Pride in their work and genuine caring for customers shows throughout. I would not take my car anywhere else!
