First garage thats ever treated us fairly on a consistent basis. My wife amd two daughters have all has work done this year and when comparing the invoices they are extremely fair. Never over selling and they actually take a minute to really explain the issue in terms we understand. Unlike the others they've always offered us multiple options and explained pros and cons to each. Its was so nice to send my teen daughter to have a wheel bearing on her jeep replaced today without worrying shell be price gouged... We continue tell friends and family about " our mechanic" ...thanks again
Yesterday I was driving with my 3 grandbabies in the car when I heard a loud scraping noise, I pulled in to the drivewsy, a very nice gentleman came out, noticed that after a recent oil change the technician didnt secure the sheild underneath properly. I was concerned about having to have it towed because I had my 3 toddler aged grandchildren with me, this man jacked the car up, fixed it in 10 minutes and didnt charge me. Saved this Noni a lot of grief and happily we left to enjoy the rest of the day! Cant say enough about his good old fashion kindness!
Friendly and knowledgeable mechanic. I was passing through when a piece came loose from my car, and he fixed my issue on the spot! Good family run business that I would absolutely return to.
I had a great experience at this place. We visited here when the rental car we got had some issues on our way back to Boston. We are grateful that they diagnosed the car quickly and made sure that we could go home safely.
Had my car towed to them, because it couldn’t be driven. They gave me a really rough estimate and then made me move my car until they were ready to work on it, because they “didn’t have space for it”, even though I called them ahead of time and told them the car would be towed and was not drivable. Luckily I had a friend that lives two houses down and was able to store it there for a few days. I brought it back when they asked, and they decided they didn’t want to do the work. I later found out they ditched my car out on to the street about 30’ from their shop because they needed the space, without a phone call or any communication (with the keys in the car, and a dead battery). I only found out my my car was ditched on the side of the road because a friend had driven by. The Newbury police had to tell them to move it back in to their lot until I could arrange a tow to a shop that would actually follow through with a repair. Bring your money elsewhere…this shop is run by a husband and wife and they don’t have the resources to follow through with their repair orders, estimates, or promises. They waisted about 3 months and 2 tows for me. They make their money on bandaid fixes to the locals. Byfield Auto on Orchard Street will take care of you. Zero stars.
My wife came in while traveling, a loose plastic peice started flapping on the car on the highway. She came in and Mike was awsome, polite and helpful, He took car of the problem and sent her on her way. I would recommend him to others. Thank you Mike!
Mike alway's helps our family out with all of our vehicles that need work and does a great job every time highly recommend his shop. Great hard working guy.
If I could leave 10 stars I would. You just don’t come across businesses like this anymore, especially auto mechanics. Mike and Shelby have become my go to mechanics for anything my wife’s car or my car needs, and I’ve referred family to them now as well. The knowledge is on point, the prices are more than fair, but what is truly most amazing is their customer service, honesty, and compassion. This probably sounds like a fake review but it’s not. My wife fell on hard times once, they let her pay whenever she could get the money (after they already made the repair) they have a loaner car that they offer you if you need to drop your car off for repair or service. There have been several times with just myself that Mike could of tried to sell me on more parts and labor than was needed but he didn’t. He gives his honest opinion (as if what he would do if it were his own car) and every time has taken the approach that would be least costly to me without putting my cars well-being or safety at risk. A++ for real. You don’t find people like these anymore (especially in this business)
Mike is a kindhearted professional. He took time to squeeze us in for a tire repair and didn’t even charge us?! We’ve never encountered a mechanic like him. We will definitely be back and will be sending everyone we know his way. Thank you mike!!
Mike and Shelby run a very friendly, high quality business and their honesty is second to none. I have had Mike service my cars, trucks and jeeps for years. The work is always fairly priced and done right (and on time). Mike is a Certified Master Mechanic and great to work with. You can do no better!
