This was an absolutely great experience!! I was at the end of my rope, I have this beautiful Saab convertible with low mileage, that almost looks new and is an 2007 and the computer failed ( ECM) after 2 tries to fix , I was referred to Mattie. I’m from CT so I had to make arrangements to get there ( I have MS. And it’s hard for me to drive that far) I called so many times with So Many Questions and between his father and himself they were the nicest people you could ever imagine , never made you feel like you were bothering them with something trivial , just answered the questions and were pleasant and said any time. We ended up getting lost he stopped and directed us and then of course once we were there it was like I knew him so pleasant, made me feel like family explained everything to me and told me how long it would be and when it was finished even replace my antenna cause it was so shabby just because he’s such a good guy. And the first time I called I talked to him s dad for about 15 minutes about Saabs and the car show. Great place!!! Down to earth people who are Honest and truly care about the customers!!! I could write Scott Carr's Auto Shack a five-star review based purely on the work they did on my car, and if you don't want to read this whole thing, know that they are incredibly honest and competent mechanics who know and love Saabs. However, the fact is my positive experience with them started long before I was even a customer. I spent the better part of a year looking for a Saab 9000 (and a specific one at that) and along the way e-mailed every Saab specialist remaining in North America I could find. Matthew Carr was the recipient of one of those e-mails, and, over the course of a few months, spent multiple hours educating me over e-mail and via phone on what to look for and weighing in on various cars I was considering buying. He had no reason to believe I would eventually turn into a customer, but that didn't matter; he was more than happy to share his expertise and passion for these cars free of charge. But, when I ended up finding the car I wanted, I brought it to Sutton to see the Carrs and I wasn't disappointed. My primary goal was to deal with a nagging transmission issue that the prior owner disclosed but wasn't able to solve, while also dealing with some routine maintenance and giving the car a general once over. They quickly and correctly diagnosed the transmission issue (which others had been unable to), while also completing the requested maintenance and giving a thorough assessment of the car, including an honest and fair appraisal of what needed to get done vs. what can wait. The work was done quickly and for a fair price, but, more importantly, the car now drives better than it likely has in years. You don't try to keep a 28 year old car like mine on the road (let alone a Saab) to get from A-Z, you do it because of an emotional attachment. This makes it all the more important to leave it in the hands of a shop you trust. There is no where else I would trust my Saab 9000 to other than Scott Carr's Auto Shack (even if I have to drive an hour each way to get there).

Works fast and honest, reviews everything with you and is very patient. Honestly some of the best service I’ve received will definitely be going back next time I’m in need especially since they work on Saabs.

I needed a lug nut last minute before a long drive this morning. I called the shop at 9:00 a.m. asking if they could help and Matthew went out and grabbed the lug nut from a different location for me. He called me back within the hour just like he said he would when he had the lug nut in hand. Within 10 minutes of arriving at the shop I was back on the road and on time for my long trip drive. Not only were they fast and friendly but they also went out of their way to track down one lug nut for me from a different location. And they charge me more than a fair price Very happy with the experience and couldn't have gone smoother or faster than it did.

They were very honest, respectful and patient in explaining the situation with my car, and reasonably inexpensive.

Bought my first car from Scott and he's been nothing but helpful throughout the whole process. Any car problems I had, he went above and beyond to fix as quickly and cheaply as possible. Not only that, but he actually wants to build a relationship with his customers too. He's an overall great guy who knows how to take care of your car!

Over-the-moon happy with Scott and Matt. The Volvo we bought from them was an amazing value. Scott and his son Matt have our full trust and know the good cars from the not-so-good. We just got back from a trip across Canada and the V70 was the most comfortable car we've ever driven. We're on our eighth Volvo wagon and have dealt with many, many garages. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Carr's to anyone looking for a knowledgeable, straightforward, honest car dealer. The inter-state purchase paperwork went flawlessly and their follow-through is better than a new car dealership. A+ guys.

Worst experience I have ever had . They sent me the wrong part and then couldn’t even overnight me my piece so I could fix my car after I explained that my car is broken down I just started a new job and I am in a tough jam with two kids and finally have someone one Saturday to come fix it and they can’t get me me parts now until Monday they could not make up for the mistake they did. Mistakes happen but atleast do something to make up for it. I asked for supervisor to call back and no one called me I called back hour later and supposedly the supervisor answered I highly doubt it. Never order from here again!!!!! Bad customer service

Honest deal for an honest car. A rare mom and pop shop that knows what they are doing. A little gruff with customer service but will gladly take personality with honesty.

We had arranged to buy an older Volvo over the phone. We arrived and the car was exactly as described. The experience was entertaining, and so much better than a big box car dealer or your average mom and pop shop.

Matt and Scott were nothing but friendly and efficient, going out of their way to get my car serviced at a day and time that worked for me. They knew how desperate I was to get my car back, since I had to use, neighbors, teacher friends, Uber, etc. just to get to and from work and even get my groceries. They are easy to talk to and great listeners. My car purrs at this point...Thank you Scott and Matt.
