Los humanos no pueden entrar xq está protegida para la vida silvestre finalmente gracias a Dios. Pero la isla fué utilizada por 30 años para prácticas militares, está llena de bombas sin explotar.
Just watched History Channel. Apparently Leif Eriksson and the Vikings left evidence they were at the island about 1000 ad. In America 500 years before Columbus. {:-)
Why five stars for this little island with a not-so-little history? Because it's uninhabited. No one, by law, is allowed on the island (other than the rare visit from a biologist, surveyor or ordnance specialist), so it truly is a place for Nature to be.... Nature. It does the soul good to know such places can still exist. :) I hope this quiet treasure will always remain under the protection of the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service.
