I've been taking my car to Waters for years now and feel fortunate to have them close by. They are friendly, competent, honest, and do the best they can to service my car as soon as possible, and are always respectful and realistic about wait times and the reasons for them. I recommend them all the time.

Can’t say enough good things about Waters Automotive. They’re honest, knowledgeable, and just really great to work with. They explain what’s going on in a way that actually makes sense, don’t try to upsell you on things you don’t need, and clearly know their stuff. It’s a great feeling to have a local mechanic you can trust. Fair prices, solid work, and genuinely nice people. Highly recommend.
Visiting Provincetown as part of east coast road trip from South Florida. Rear undercarriage shield on our 2019 Honda Accord came unattached due to broken screw. Shield was dragging on pavement. Nearest Honda dealer over 1.5 hours away. Did some research and found Waters Automotive in Truro. Are we glad we did! Really nice people who know their stuff. In and out in less than 30 minutes. Would give them 10 stars if I could! Highly recommend!
I was visiting Provincetown and went here on Thursday July 17th early AM as they opened. I had a leak in my tire was hoping they could repair. Ethan helped right away, super friendly as well. He seemed to think tire was not repairable due to nail location in tire and suggested we wait for the other guy (I forget his name I’m sorry!) to double check and talk options. Ethan was right tire needed to be replaced. Ultimately decided I’d replace tires elsewhere for logistics reasons, though it should be clear they offered to help quickly as possible. I asked how much I can pay for their time and effort and they would not take any money. Great service by nice friendly people.
On our way to Provincetown last Sunday we ran over something that looked like a small ceramic straw. It pierced the tire which went flat in moments. AAA swapped it out for the spare. Monday morning we went to Waters, where they were able to patch the tire, swap it back, torque it properly, and send us on our way for $25! They totally saved our vacation and have our thanks!
Nothing like a little excitement to spice up a vacation. Sunday, as we rounded the rotary in Orleans, the tire pressure light went on. From there, it’s about 30-40 minutes to Provincetown. Monday morning we asked about an auto repair place and the front desk guy suggested one that had also I found. Drove to the local gas station to pump the tire and then to the car shop. They don’t deal in tires, but recommended one place about 4 miles away. Pressure looked good so I drove there. Sprayed the tire with solution to see where it was coming from. Leak in the sidewall of my tire. Guy ordered new tire and filled the tire up until new one came in today. Filled up last night at 6:30 and it was completely flat by the time we went to bed. Because it’s a hybrid car, there’s no spare tire, just a sealant/compressor doohicky. I researched more and found that you can also use the compressor as air without using the sealant. That got me enough air to make it to the auto shop. Grateful for Waters Auto Shop in Truro. You can’t find a better place than this.
Went in on a busy summer day with a part to see if they could push out a stuck bearing from a hub. (It was basically fused together) Josh was nice enough to stop everything he was doing and within 20 minutes I was on my way. I really appreciate honest mechanics who are fair, make time even when sometimes it’s not convenient for them. I asked him how much and I won’t say (out of respect) but it was so low. I paid him what I thought was fair for basically an emergency situation since I needed the car fixed to work that weekend. I explained that to him and he didn’t have to make time (much less immediately) but he did. Solid guy, runs a good shop.
Needed my front rotors removed, they were rusted onto the hub, Josh got them off I tried for 4 hours to remove the driver side rotor, this normally takes me 15 minutes. Needless to say he preformed a miracle. I had tried everything but a torch.
Local family business. Reasonably priced and honest. Josh is a very honest mechanic that knows his trade. Alexis from the office was great at communicating with me. I will be bringing all of my cars here for any service needs.
Vacationing on the Cape when I found myself with a punctured tire (though I couldn’t see anything). Based on the reviews I pulled in here and everyone I encountered was extremely helpful and friendly. The tire was taken care of and I was back on the road within 15 mins of pulling in. Highly reasonable pricing, can’t thank them enough for making a crummy situation disappear quickly!
On a recent visit to the Cape, I picked up a drywall screw in one of my tires. I pulled in to Waters Automotive, hoping they might be able to help me sometime that day.
I was met by an friendly serviceman who fixed the tire - immediately. I don’t think I was on the property more than ten minutes. What’s more, the repair charge was minimal.
Through the years I have used this garage two or three other times when car trouble has occurred during my stay. Every experience has been the same: courteous, reliable service - and a very reasonable fee. A business in a vacation area could easily overcharge obvious tourists such as myself - but in my experience this establishment never has.

Where do I start? Every time I've had a problem they've always taken care of it. No matter the size, The problem is always resolved. Always courteous and professional and get the job done right at a fair price.

These guys rock! I was nervous about driving back to Maine pulling a camper with a slow leak in one of my truck tires. These guys had me in and out in less than 15 minutes good to go!
Extremely nice, and professional, does a great job, and charges more than fair. Would recommend to anybody, he knows his stuff. I’ve dealt with a lot of “professional” mechanics, and this guy actually knows what he is doing, and if he can’t fix it he will point you in the direction of someone who will.

Just picked up my truck after a major repair (power steering equipment needed replacement). Great work, absolute fair pricing! The Owner/Mechanic is honest. He also-will give the extra effort; as he tried the least expensive way first. I am newer to the area. I asked around and was told to bring the truck here-I’m glad I did!
Josh will throw himself down, crawl under your car, and figure out what's going on the minute you drive in. He's honest and so inexpensive we added to the bill to make it fair. We had a major oil hemorage from our turbo, and he took time to explain what was going on and our options. His wife, Lindsey, takes care of everything non-automotive, including lending me her cellphone (mine had no service) and consoling me when I broke down - full service care. Good people, great service.
Personable and friendly owners. Honest. Instead of just replacing a starter in my car, Josh wanted to make sure it wasn't something simpler which would probably in the long run save me money. Other shop, the mechanic just wanted to go straight to the more expensive fix. Even if it is the starter, which it probably is, I respect Waters for trying to save me a few bucks.
Car battery died while on vacation. Called the garage at 11:50am looking for a battery. He had one but was closing at 12 noon. He stayed there until I was able to get my car jump started and drive to him. He was there waiting, tested the old battery to verify that it was bad, then he installed the new one. He did charge as much as he could have. I am very pleased and would definitely return if I need to. Highly recommend!
