Harwich has a nice disposal area but much like the previous review my experience at the dump was negatively affected by one person. I had a load in my pickup of a small couch , a small rug, and some misc bedding. I was initially told that I couldn’t use the scale because I had furniture and would have to unload and come back to be weighed. Ok. I unloaded and dumped the couch way back in the landfill. I returned to pay and the woman wanted to weigh the truck with the 25 lb rug in it. When I told her I’d thrown it away she got all huffy and exasperated. I could toss it up to a bad day for her except that every time I have come to the dump she has been the same. She is unhappy, unpleasant, and obviously hates her job and the clientele. She reflects negatively on Harwich and should be put in a job with no customer contact.
I love the experience, Coming into this place one particular day, which is today charged me extraordinary amount for the weight that was originally in my pick up truck. I just had very few miscellaneous pieces in the trailer and a bunch of pressure-treated wood not even a full pick up truck Load I believe this was unprofessional This was my first negative experience with the town of Harwich and I believe there’s one particular person who works there that’s at fault for this too. No matter if the town of Harwich dump is tight on profit doesn’t mean to squeeze your clients for more money than the original price of the weight That’s in your truck
When we realized that we threw away an expensive package by accident - our heart's sank. The folks at Harwich Disposal were amazing, helping us locate and fish the bag from the rubbish. They went above and beyond and we are so grateful. Thank you for your kindness and customer service. Small towns rock.
Very well organized and well run. No obnoxious odors. Open seven days a week for residence convenience. The swap shop is open on weekends. Very busy but limited parking. Come early or be prepared to wait.
